I bought the REL T/5i a few years ago from Olson and was initially disappointed with the limited output I got from it. Actually it took a break-in period for it to come alive and it got much louder after that. Great sub-woofer for the price!
With the REL, I'll hear things in the audio I've never heard before. I own a REL HT/1003, and I'm using mine with my Magnepan LRS and sometimes using in my home theater speakers (TriTrix MTM TLs).
I got Yamaha NS-SW 700 sub in my hifi system. Now this thing pops on sale for 1500€. Should You upgrade 10y old sub to this? Iv been quite happy with Yahama but im using it with 75% volume and iv heard Rel subs bring some very low hz which improve movies and music?
Good Job Ben! Enjoyed the review. Can't say enough good things about your quality service even after the sale. Rock On.
Olson Hifi did an amazing job with my home theater. Ben and his staff know their stuff. Gotta love the bass with movie scenes.

My God, he said he felt the fingers. You made my day with that one. Boz Skaggs has some really really great material. Thanks for the review.
I don't have nearly enough experience with brick shit houses to appreciate how awesome this speaker is.
Nice job, Ben! Very impressive speakers
Just bought a Parasound amp here a few weeks back, I enjoyed doing business with Ben, nice to have somewhere local to shop for hi-fi
I believe it also has a down firing speaker as well. I have the s812 Which is a front firing 12" and down firing "12 passive. Its amazing.
How big is your room? Do you have one or two s812s?

At first I thought he said, I smelled the fingers. Either way, I love it!
Great video…the ht rel predator 1508. I wonder how it compares to the 510 for music. Not sure if anyone can tell me if they have heard both
You know what movie put my REL to the absolute test (and it’s only Blu Ray) Gravity, had to take all glassware off my floating shelves! Lol
I bought an s510 and it is just stunning. I have a question. The LED on the back stays on and does not turn off in standby mode, is that how it is?
In some markets other than the 220-240 volt markets, yes that's how it is...
Odd, on Europe models it's turning off when in standby mode. Easily fixed though with a piece of black tape.
My brother has a t7x it feels a lot of than 30hz as the specs say. I've got a 1205 mk1
Got 2 of these for the front speakers ... now to find a quality HT oriented sub which isn't 60+ Kg 😂

It’s definitely worth the upgrade. I’ve had The S510 sub in my system for about a year now. Best I’ve had
€1500 is a great price. Would love to buy 1 or 2 extra for that price. Where did you see that?
I don’t think anyone is selling these new for half price.
Hi, Can I use a pair of REL S/510 speakers with Monitor Audio PLT 100 3G speakers in a room that measures 224 sq ft for music only? Thanks.
If you have the width for that, that would be a great match up. I have KEF Ref 1 and a pair of 510 in a similar room.
@@olsonshifi3714 Thanks for reaching out. Between MA PLT 100 3G and KEF Reference 1 Meta, which in your opinion is the better speaker?
At 5:03 what movie are you talking about? Title?
I think he meant Tenet
@@skian33 Ahhh…I thought I heard Transient and I was like ????. Thanks I didn’t think anyone out there heard me
the lack of eq haunts me.. I need some room modes to be tamed
You are either tiny or you have a special 30" subwoofer.....
It’s actually stranger than that. I’m 5”11 220lbs. And it’s a magical 10” sub! 😂
Thanks for checking out our video .
You've failed to mention the subwoofer specs.
This review is my subjective listening experience. I avoid talking about things readily available on manufactures site.
I’ll take 2!
I do have two, matched to B&Ws sound is amazing.

Felt the fingers? Not something I ever want to hear you say that again
