    I've used the mohawh lifts quite a bit. Having the ability to independantly raise each side is way more help than one thinks. Makes adjusting much easier. Just position the far side and lift until you make contact then walk around see if it all good then do side closes to you and away you go. Also when you floor has a high slop and you've level the lift you can account for this difference.

    Well it don't look like I'll ever own a shop, but I definitely think you spent your money correctly.

    Mine is a symmetrical 9k BendPak, got it in 2015 and it lifts my 4x4 trucks no problem. Back then it was around 3k, and since I am short (5'8) it only had to lift things 72" That let me use 12' walls so I have less space to heat in my long cold northern winters. Mine has the cables and hydraulic line running on the floor, which can be annoying but height was more of my concern than a plate on the floor.

      Before we found this Mohawk we were looking for the floor cable BendPak because at the time we were under a carport and was very limited on vertical space. We ran the line with the roof of the car port and it worked out well, We besides the time Dean ran the Dart to far up and dented the roof of the Dart against the rafter. Thanks for watching!!

    So true... I have a 7000 lb Mohawk and a 9000 lb Mohawk both from the 80s as well as a 10,000 lb bend pack that I bought new. I trust a 10,000 lb car on my 7000 lb mohawk before I trust 7000 lb car on my 10,000 lb Bend pak.

    I'm getting ready to install my Mohawk 9k 1A lift. It looked like you set yours up A symmetrical ,I didnt realize that I could do that. Also when you raise your lift all the way up does it come near the hydraulic lines?

    • @NSBCustomCars
      @NSBCustomCars  5 месяцев назад

      Our lift is asymmetric, You can tell by the arms being shorter in the front than in the rear... If they are both the same length then it is symmetric. You can only set them up one way depending on which one you have... We have plenty of clearance up top, you can make them longer or shorted depending on how much clearance you have. We had this lift installed under our carport before we had the garage built and we just ran the lines along the rafters. When we moved it into the garage we bought new lines and ran them up higher. Thanks for Watching!!

    If I can afford it I’m going to buy a Mohawk 12k for my new shop. If not I’ll have to get a bend pac 15k

      We bought our Mohawk used from a dealership that was shutting down in Orlando and It has been awesome and gave us zero issues. It might be pricey but it looks like it's the only one we will ever have to buy.

    How tall is it to the very top where lines are at? Can the top line height be adjusted lower for shirter shops?

    • @NSBCustomCars
      @NSBCustomCars  6 месяцев назад

      Yes they can, At first we had it under a car port. We had the lines running along the rafters.
