You know Steve, I look forward to your video's because your channel and Shango066, as well big Clice and a couple others keep me in the loop, in 2016 when I closed my shop and went to work for Electric Boat, I haven't really been doing much in the business....so, it's nice to see these videos. I will be getting back into it when I retire in a couple years, I really miss the challenges. Have a nice holiday.... And as always, good job..!!
Thank you for this video. Is the sub out always "live" even in 2 ch Stereo mode ? And not have to be "turned" on by the sound field processor or multi channel modes ? TIA. It's disturbing to seen total degradation of the pcb ground trace.
I have a 20 year old Yamaha HTR-5550 receiver. My 15 year old JBL subwoofer stopped working a couple weeks ago. Tried a new subwoofer and not working either. I've been troubleshooting with no success. So is the problem my sub output? Any ideas?
Plz make video of dummy load amps text i wanna knows values of and watts resistors , by the way last year i have seen your video making dummy load text but so now i haven't found that video , anyway i need link of that video thnks ...🙂
NICE JOB STEVE, MARRY CHRISTMAS TO YOU AND FAMILY

What caused all those traces to burn out like that all at once?
hm, must've applied 110V to the subwoofer ground to cause that damage?
Thank you.
Marry Christmas 🎄☃️🎄☃️🎄 steeve sir
C2129 is bad check time frame 3:47 and 8:19 Found it in the headphone circuit HPL line
Does look like it has cracked off the one side.
Was wondering about it. Several solder joints looked crazed as well.
Hello, What would cause a receiver to only hum from a few audio outputs? I have a Yamaha HTR-5835. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
How does it burn more than one trace? I thought that once the trace is broken, no more current will flow because the circuit is open
Has the appearance of the sub woofer itself taking a surge. Customer may need that looked at as well.

Hook up a MP3 player or equivalent to the input of the subwoofer (a known good audio source). If it plays sound then the subwoofer is good.
@@norcal715 Thanks for the info.
My HTR 5550 just dropped the sub output and right rear. I check the ground and it's good.

I will try. If i do I will name you specifically in the video. Thanks

WTF!!! How could they all burn at once???? How did it happen I wonder
Decent amount of power to pop all them simulaneously.
