Miami is definitely more deadly than New York for a biker.
dog if u only knew.... and sad part is it is COMPLETELY repairable but people in south florida are known to speed up when they see pedestrians trying to cross the street let alone cyclists. Its a false sense of power. I dont hate cars however one has to be numb or dumb to think that people in cars do not think they have power behind a wheel. Kinda sad as most of these people are actually quite weak in character. Shouts out to the people in florida and worldwide who do pass cyclists carefully and dont claim "they didnt see us" I think its cause some people cant handle th humidity and florida is eating these people alive but they dont want to admit it. i dont ride like anyone on this channel fyi however these guys are more experienced and respect to them and Terry as well. If Europe was warmer I would move there as they have protective curb type separators to isolate the bike lanes somewhat.
the irony is these two guys have no lights. i have 350 lumen rear and 800 lumen front and still think its a quagmire. Perhaps its an energetic thing. I am quite livewire of an aries :)
example at 9:02 timestamp yall are lucky ol boy was quick with the brake if he was on his phone.... not good... however upon another glance in this vid and especially with cooper ray i noticed the greats like him city fast efficient riding they have one thing that i need to improve - reaction time. I need to work on that and also improve vision.

Me too. And i really liked the way they communicated with each other at each junction.
When you ride passing red lights, tailing moving cars, holding door handles and not caring at all any city is dangerous for cyclists.
When they rode into Little Havana and said it smelled like grape dutch, I chuckled.
Do you ever think, today is gonna be day something bad happens to me following someone while filming? Cause I would feel that way following these two.

And also I appreciate how they know *when* to change gears... like not like to go faster or if there up hill but when u change a gear you want to be seated and not sprinting mode so that you dont damage the cassettes or crankset..... I mean you could, but dont make it a habit and I clearly saw him (the guy whose mic ed up)... chasing the car he would sit.. change gear...than stand up.. sit.. change gear..than stand up qnd chase these guys know how to ride.....

I love city cycling but something about pushing off cars and holding the handles just seems kinda wrong to me.
yeah, to me it's unnecessary. it's more of a thing poeple do to show off and show some arrogance. but frankly we already ride like lunatics without hanging on to cars, and forcing a driver into a situation he probably would refuse seems like a lack of respect at a personal level. If some guy with a scooter started hanging on to my chainstays just to go faster, i'd kick him right in the middle of his face.
NoNotReally only the cyclists is putting himself in danger , half the people around here don’t even notice your doing it because they are on the phone. If they do notice , they usually speed up , or are entertained by it and let it ride.
All it takes is 1 grumpy old man and you're roadsquid.
