Been a fan of ML&S since the 80's.... yeah obviously pre the interwebs but as 'merely' a listener I have to say this company and how they interact with their customers is exemplary. Knowledge and service delivered with good old fashioned 'old boy' decency... Cant go wrong lads👍🏻
Nice guide and don't forget a nod to your used stock too for the budget conscious. Setting up last year on a small computer desk I went for a used Icom 7100 - all band, all mode small footprint, mobile capable, up to 100W HF at £750 - and still enough space (just) for a laptop next to it if I put the main unit underneath. Small shack G4PCR now silent key had a small internal former coal store around 4 feet wide and I’d say 5 feet long we had many happy times in it doing HF contacts sitting side by side .G1VCA 73s
Agreed. It's a bit older, but still a very good option. When Yaesu gets around to updating the 991A with a modern compact/ruggedized version of the 875D, it will fly from the shelves.
Many thanks for your excellent presentations Tony, I afraid that I`m a bit of a dinosaur and have a job getting my head around all this modern technology but I do try to follow what`s going on and enjoy the video`s, many thanks and best 73 de Geoff. G4AQZ.

Thank you very much for your kind words Sir.
Sadly that wasn’t my experience and I bought equipment elsewhere.

I got the Xeigu X6100 cheaper has all the same main features cost me £450 which is insane value for a radio that does it all!

I am surprised you did not mention the Yaesu 991A
