My name is Freije, which is modernized Arabic and Phrygi. This sound is in my SOUL, an it enables me to close my eyes and relive the energy in the hearts and minds of my ancestors from 3,500 years ago.

@@chusssMusic than you!! I have recorded a song along to this backing track, am I allowed to upload it? didn't want to do it without asking for your permission first
This is such a great backing track. I had never used the E Phrygian Dominant scale until I came across your site. I’m a rock and blues player and this has opened a new door for me.
My wife is a belly dancer. She heard me playing to this track and shimmied into my studio to bust out some slinky moves. I think this may be the start of a new collaborative project for us! Thanks heaps!

i play the same as you but man i love jamming to this.
Sick track for developing a different styles thank you!
Great backing track. Perfect beat for improvisation.
Little tip, use the gliss from 1st to 2nd position to complete the scale. This eliminates the big jump to 4th finger and sets you up nicely.
Excellent scale to play along with. Each key opens a new door :)
Me: this Phrygian mode thing sounds Arabic and i am off to find an oasis
My guitar: hold my BAGDAD tuning
😁😁
Not one for dancing but when I'm jamming to this on the strat my body is possessed.

Wow in the past I always scoffed at the idea of playing to videos like this. I think I was wrong, though, this was very informative. Thanks!
Glad it was helpful!
YES! Thank you for this!
This is so great and so helpful.
Great track! Actually I like to throw some "phrygian sounding" scales in it other than the Phrygian dominant, such as the double harmonic (byzantine), with its natural 7th, which adds another flavour to the track.
Sick jam bro. thanks!
The minor harmonic scale?
I love this stuff Makes ya wanna move Thanks man 👍👍👍👍👍
Awesome BT mate!
I have learned SO much from this one video; thank you very much!

Heya. Thank you for the content! I loved Arabian tunes after your channel and now practicing almost every day to master it. That sounds awesome and thanks to your comments in the video I understand why.
I have a question on this track if you don't mind. I noticed D sounds somewhat "unstable" in the scale. I feel like I don't want to stay on it for long or to finish a phrase on D. The only reasonable place for it to me is as a quick bridge to move through the scale. For example, it sounds good during a quick legato E-F-E-D-E with long stay on E.
Could you explain a bit here? I suspect myself doing something wrong.
Thank you!
Hey man, first thanks for your comment and I am really happy my content has been interesting and helpful to you.. that's the target :) regarding the D note in this track, you are absolutely right, it's a leading note.. meaning the note that comes right before the home or root note (E in this track) so the D note would sound highly in tension until resolved to E. Your ears works perfect. With more music theory and practice you will understand more and master this kind of stuff. 👍👓
chusss Music thanks a lot!

Greetings from Greece Chusss! Wonderful backing track, full of emotions and passion! I would like to ask your permission to upload an improvised jam on it, on my youtube channel, attributing, of course, the credits to you and the respective link. FYI, I am not a professional musician and it is not for commercial use. Just a lover of guitar playing. Thank you very much, in advance!
