BACKING TRACK - 1001 Arabian Nights - E Phrygian Dominant *PLUS Scale patterns*

- Опубликовано: 27 янв 2018
- This is a high quality exotic backing track in the E Phrygian dominant mode for guitar. Excellent for improvising, learning scales, chords and arpeggio's. This Q JAM TRACKS PLUS backing track provides a visual representation of the chords and scales in diagrams as they appear in the music. Extra theoretical information is also shown in the video. It is a backing track and tutorial (or lesson) at the same time. You can improvise and solo over this backing track to practice:
- Pentatonic minor scales
- Phrygian dominant / harmonic minor scales
It's also a play along video for learning exiting chords.
my teacher told me years ago this, when I eagerly asked him to learn and understand improvising; there is a big vast forest ahead... you can enter where ever you want, some places would be better suited but that does not really matter. you can stay as much as you like and get out of the forest anytime. when your journey tells the good story; then it means you are improvising.
What a wonderful metaphor! I will rembember this to tell my own students👍
This comment made my sock hard
Thats very nice actually :D
Thank you very much. Besides what everybody else commented. You're revolutionizing the backing track and impro scene on internet.
This is definitely the way to go.Showing the scales along with the chord changes in time with the changes. And the tutorial notes make it just that much better.
Thanks Jamie. I'm glad you like the videos!
These are the kind of backingtracks that really comprises fun, teaching and joy. All the explanations, chords, comments... amazing!!. Muchas gracias!!
Great to see someone providing people with actual free tutorial and hands-on methods for learning modes/scales and improvising. So many RUclipsrs these days go on and on about the "right way" to do this and that, and everything that guitar players should "never do"...etc.
It's good and all learning the "proper ways" way to do things on guitar, but I learned how to solo and improvise using the so-called "evil" BOX scale patterns that all guitar theorists cringe about. But to be honest, leaning those little shortcuts allowed me to actually PLAY GUITAR and IMPROVISE instead of just doing exercises over and over to learn "proper methods". The more I actually played, the more I was able to expand on that knowledge and use it to play other "modes" and types of music. There's nothing wrong with it in my opinion. If you're having fun playing, and you and others enjoy what you play, all the power to you.
I hope you don't mind I DLed some of your tracks and I'm hoping to upload some examples of playing over them. Eventually.
Thanks again for all you do!
Thanks and you're welcome! Indeed improvising should not consist of merely playing scales in boxes up and down the neck. A good knowlegde of the neck of the guitar set's one free of those limitations and provides musical and creative freedom. I totally agree with that. Though, to strart of with improvising, scales patterns are one way to dive into the deep waters of improvisation. Once learned you should not lean on them forever. I'm very curious to hear your improvisations on my backing tracks! :)
Sounds good! Then I better get to work. Lol.
Cheers!
wicked song man
I Love this kind of a backer with the middle eastern feel...and the fact that you give instruction on what scales to use and when is awesome.....that has always been a prob for me(knowing which scales to use and when)......thanx for this...I will have some fun Jamming along....
Thanks Ken!

Man, that Arabian woman is pretty inspiring. Maybe, by getting some really good licks and runs down, I might get lucky!
The best Channel in the youtube is here! Congratulations and best wishes from Brazil.

Sweet. Now i know what to do to write my own backing tracks. I'm an airhead so i basically over complicated the understanding.

Thanks John for you kind words! Have fun with the video👍
@@QJamTracks Thanks to YOU... I plan to work on this backing track, could you tell me what it involves if I release it on YT, if ever I am enough happy after recording. Wait to read your reply, in any case I have the hope I will have a new fun & powerful track for myself.
@@johnfreemind3892 Hi John. If you want to use this track for your own improvisation, then it's ok to put on RUclips as long as you (and would be so kind to) mention my channel so it's clear that the backing track is from QJamTracks. I'm very curious about your creation. Please notify me when its live ok? Success!
@@QJamTracks of course! I will surely do that don't worry. It will be a hot night here so, I already have two riffs that fit perfectly with the track, one oriental of course (a slow progression on the E phrygian then a back down) and the second is more of hispanic one on the third phrase of the track. Obtaining a good enough recording sound is another work but I use simple tool like audacity and linked sound card to my pc.
Awesome
Really cool! Interesting and exotic scale.
Thanks Andrej! It is indeed a particular scale. Nice change from the pentatonic en minor/major scale right?
Totally agree!
I like this alot
Love this very yery mich, thank you 🙏💃🤗🎶🎸
❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Que gran video son de mucha ayuda
I AM IN ... Thank you :)
Great!
this awesome Rob can I please get tab for your intro solo?
Do you mean the intro solo of the Phrygian Dominant tutorial?
I also found the E Hungarian Minor scale sounds pretty good over this track. LOTS of interesting finger patterns in that one!
www.all-guitar-chords.com/guitar_scales.php?qqq=12&scch=E&scchnam=Hungarian+Minor&get2=Get&t=0&choice=1
Indeed, there are more possibilities. The Hungarian scale (or Gypsy minor scale) works too :)
Thank you brother!
Great track! One thing... at 4.58 Option 4/4 should be on the fourth fret not the 12 th.
this is beautiful..Mr.Rob may i use your track for my guitar improvisation ?
As long as you make clear that the backing track is made by QJamTracks and you don't use it for commercial purposes it's fine with me. So for a impro in RUclips video it's alright. Could you give me a link when it's finished?
@@QJamTracks yes ofcourse..i will give it back, mention your link..because you are the owner..i just use it for improvisation guitar in youtube only..
1:36 Damn, Lucy. Spoilers...
Cool track, but It sounds very Spanish (Andalusian) it's more like Andalusian nights, no Arabian, thou... Actually the Phrygian scale is well know as the Spanish scale too...
Yes, maybe it does sounds more spanish! The Andalusian nights must be as exciting as the Arabian ones, if not, even hotter ;)
Actually, everything is Arabian except for "Section 3", which IS an Andalusian cadence; that's what you are hearing. Also, yes, this scale is very common in Andalusia, thanks to the Arabs, Sephardic Jews, and Gypsies (Roma; they invented Flamenco, by the way) who live there.
Dans cette gamme , le G est # ! pourquoi vous le jouez 7?
I'm sorry Thierry, but I don't speak French. Could you rephrase this in Englsh please?
In this range ,the G is sharp ! Why are you playing it 7 ? Merci
@@thierrydelmas2345 The last section is a brief modulation to A natural minor (exept for the last chord E). See 1:58. It's a typical chord progression for spanish a latin style songs.
Hey, i'd like to make use of your track for a theme song...let me know if interested
Please contact me on my e-mail address (nedviewATgmailDOTcom) and tell me for what kind of production you want to use it, on which medium it will be shown and how long the track will sound in the production.
Jesus loves you!!
Check out my jam session on my channel with this awesome backingtrack .Love the backingtrack .Imagine myself at desert riding on camel back .
Great playing Danial! I've added you solo to the QJamTracks Playlist "Guitarists playing over QJamTracks Backing Tracks" ( ruclips.net/p/PLxRygxr08wsXw2hHfrOZwN5Zka4AISMsT )
sounds more Spanish than Arabian to me, but hey.
