Lenovo did not provide any instructions in the pen box on how to make the pen work with their laptops. There was also no information about any Internet resource. I googled but only found a video on how to use the pen once it's set up. Romona, your video was the first one I found with brilliant instructions on how to set up the pen, and it saved my day. Thank you!
Thank you so much! I was struggling to figure out how the pen is supposed to work for so long and it was a huge struggle to find any information online about it. Your video was exactly what needed to be done. Thank You!
From the looks of it, Lenovo just want to it work out of box. But...... they forgot add something less complicated if it failed to work out of the box.
Hi! Would you be willing to make a video deminstrating your devices's + pen's ability in doing the "diagonal line test" please? I am currently considering to buy a 7i or 9i and need to know how well the device works. What you do is slowly draw diagonal lines and it will show some level of wobble or jitter (It will make like a sine wave). To see the effect better you choose a small pen size, and draw lines close together in succession //////. There are examples on line to show how it is done. Many thanks!!!
I am saving this video. It looks like the version automatically changes whenever I use the same URL. Windows update doesn't seem to pick up the newest software version. Mine worked out of the box with battery indicator glitches and the new version is still glitched out. The old version has two less features as well. Thank you very much for this!
You are very welcome! My understanding is that the pen was built with Wacom technology versus Bluetooth technology. So there is no Bluetooth functionality.
Mine is Lenvo 7i yoga but my pen doesn’t work or connect . I’m not sure what to do? I was trying to also use opentoonz but I can’t . I bought “digital pen 2”
To pair a pen with a Lenovo Yoga 7i, you can try the following steps: Go to Settings Select Devices Select Bluetooth & other devices Press and hold the top button of the pen until the LED light flashes white Select Bluetooth from the list Select the pen from the list of devices Select Pair Once the pen is paired successfully, it will appear as a connected Bluetooth device. If the pen isn't working or being recognized, you can try removing and reseating it into the system a few times. You can also wait a couple of minutes for the pen to charge. Then, you can launch the Lenovo Pen Settings Utility by pressing the Windows Key and typing Lenovo Pen Settings.
@@TruthBeTold121212I have Lenovo yoga 7i comming with precision pen 2 were the led is not lighting while you press the button for a several seconds. I am still struggling to connect it.
This actuallg worked for me, but it doesnt seem to "stick." Every time i close my 9i, i have to reinstall the download to make the pen work again. Any ideas?!
I hear the Jamaican in you. I didn't have that initial connectivity issue, however I've observed that when I'm in tablet mode, and I put the pen down, after a while it disconnects, and I can't get it to pair with the computer unless I plug the pen in to charge. It doesn't even have to charge, it just needs to be plugged in, as soon as that happens it syncs and is ready to use again. Have you encountered this?
Heya Jason, yes indeed, I'm from Jamaica! I haven't used the laptop in tablet mode much. You could try increasing the pen sensitivity in settings to see if that works
Do you know if y9ou need to charge the pen? Mine stopped working and I cannot find much info.. :) thanks for your reply.. BTW you have a lovely voice:)
Hi @davidklein1565, thank you! Yes, indeed you do need to charge the pen. At the base of the pen, there is a rubber cap. Flip it open and there is a charging port for USB-C. The light on the pen will go from red to white when fully charged.
Hi @bravobase6801, try restarting the computer and installing the latest updates. Make sure the pen is charged as well, the light turns white when fully charged.

My pleasure! It took me over a month to figure it out, so I thought I might share!! Cheers 🎉
You are a lifesaver! I can't believe I couldn't find the answer to this issue in any of Lenovo's documentation.

I'm glad it helped!
So surprised the app is not auto installed by Lenovo, seems like they missed something so simple and common sense.
From the looks of it, Lenovo just want to it work out of box. But...... they forgot add something less complicated if it failed to work out of the box.
i have it in drivers for my device, it gets downloaded when i use the service bridge to auto update drivers
Was having so much trouble before but now works perfectly!! Thank you so much Romona you're a life saver!
