The mic is alot more pleasant on the Samsung. Both cameras were great, but i edge it to Samsung overall
What, listen with a good headphone. The iPhone registered more low and high sounds en sounded much more clear. I heard much more different sounds in the iPhone. The Samsung sounded much more muffled
@@mauricedicke9527 That's what I heard in the video aswell, however my S21 Ultra seems to be outputting way better mice quality than the s21, with way more richness. Idk how it compares to the iPhone tho. Just noticed that it performs way better than the s21 in this vid.
Also with video stabilization. Samsung just knocked out iPhone hahahaha

@@mauricedicke9527 hahaha who cares about dxomark these days? The aspect of a camera that contributes to the overall score is a completely subjective weighing system that DxOMark came up with. Since different people have different needs when it comes to a camera, looking at the individual scores that matter to you is probably more helpful and informative than comparing cameras simply based on their overall scores given by a company. The fact that DxOMark works with manufacturers (for a fee) to design cameras that score highly on DxOMark’s tests, this only guarantees the sometimes irrelevant and bias result of their testings so don't ever used dxomark as a reason to prove that iPhone 12 Pro Max has the best camera on a smartphone. Stop being funny bro hahaha.
Great video! I think you should compare the S21 to the S10 (or the plus variants). A kind of 2 year look back at the phone that started your channel. People usually upgrade phones every 2+ years, so it would be a cool video to see!
A normal person buying either of these phones for the stills/video would come out a winner. They are both so close to each other. Samsung seemed to do a better job with this model lineup than previous models.

Both look great. Samsung stepped-up this year. Skin tones finally look natural and video has really closed the gap on the iPhone. Can't go wrong with either when it comes to the camera but I'm a android dude so....

great review! iphone's aperture is faster for the main camera, but samsung has 1.8 microns pixels vs 1.4 in the iphone. about the zoom camera: the optical zoom is 1.1x because it needs to crop in a bit for the 8K video. the zoom camera captures the 8k video. so of you want a real 3x optical zoom like in the s20 FE, you have to give up 8k video. not that is any good. just saying ... decisions, decisions.

I will chose Galaxy S21 Ultra because it has more options to shoot and create amazing things. It is trully the pro camera experience my opinion. But if u r someone who shoots short films or just shoot videos on ur phone than u should buy the iPhone it's just superior device in that regard. I can't wait when Apple gives us pro camera options to the iPhone let's hope🙏🏻. I love your videos keep up the good work and also english is not my first language sorry for the grammer and stuff😆

Definitely. 4k60 doesn’t mean better quality than 4k30. Bitrate matters much more :)

I do like s21 even now it will be more softwares will fix some issues, l like colors , more details in front camera of s21 , I think 12MP in s21 doing much better than 108MP in s21ultra
Yo both phones do great job.. Samsung having a slight edge this time around. The dynamic range seems to be better in my opinion. They do need to fix the low light "shake". Seemed to struggle on that a bit.. Yooo, that portrait video is on point though 😱

I'm not about the video quality of both phones but the microphone is what i'm going to focus on

No. You ignore the fact that S21 is equipped with a larger sensor i.e 1/1.76", whereas iPhone 12 mini is of 1/2.55". The main sensor of S21 is 1.7x larger than that of iPhone 12, which allows S21 capturing much more light than iPhone 12 though it has a large aperture.
This is the reason I'm buying a iphone after being a long android user . All these specs mean nothing if you cant see a difference . I think both looked great but the iPhone looks alot more premium this year

Well, I don't know if the S21 has always been better, because the photos and videos do not differ much.
One thing I know for sure - the size of the iP 12 mini drives me crazy. Finally, I feel like I have nothing in my pockets again. And it's not that I spent all my money on an Apple product;)

I had the s21 ultra for about a week and I never really used the telephoto lens. The fact is that phone cameras will never be great because the majority of the quality is just software
Both look great, but that size of that mini is hard to pass up. But then again there isnt a jailbreak out yet for the 12 mini so I’ll have to live without some of my favorite tweaks that remove apple’s BS (like changing default apps).
Will the iPhone 13 fix the MagSafe problem? Apple warned it could interfere with a pacemaker's function. A smartphone that can give you a heart attack might not be that smart, after all.
Did you listen through a good headphone? The iPhone sounded much much better. The Samsung sounded much less defined

Am not the fan of galaxy oversharpened videos and failing 8k that doesn’t really improve and this focus hunting issues and yes I do pick up noise in galaxy night shots probably software issue. That portrait video looks good until an object moves in the background and ooops

How can you do a camera test when you can't even get your own camera in focus?
My bad lol. Accidentally had my settings on phase detection and it kept focusing on my microphone 😅 I guess that goes to show how good sonys auto focus is!

There are dozens of other reasons why I would choose the Samsung above the Apple.
Both are very good, but the s21 has more striking colors. I will prefer the s21 because of the better screen and functional

I have to say I was expecting I phone12 to dominate s21 because there is a good level of consistency in iPhone varients.
The mic on the s21 sounded way better the camera's were almost on par going back and forth but I'll edge it to Samsung here.
PS. Once again a good comparison the pictures you took on both were great and the samples were good to compare. But the pictures were changing to quickly. You might wanna slow them down.

Galaxy is better camera wize, IPhone with deep fusion is a little bit better in certain low light scenarios though. Overall, the galaxy is a better shooter.
Performance S21 bigger display, bigger battery and ram for 50$ more
Photos iphone 12mini, socials are better on the iphone.

Thank you for noticing that it's not 3x optical on the s21! The s21 and s21 plus doesn't actually have a telephoto! The 64MP camera is at 1.0x zoom so when you take a 3.0x photo it's all digital zoom! Samsung is doing false marketing this year again🤦♂️

@@ranmasaotome2876 no, the s21 ultra is different. The 10x is 10x but I think the 3x is actually a 2x.. But I haven't tested it that much so I'm not sure.
Isn't it 1.1x optical zoom and not 1x? At least that's what I have on my S20+.
7:38 the color on galaxy looks more realistic. Like the trees and stuff. Also, the ground, iphone can't pickup the grassy part as well as galaxy is doing it
It's totally strange for me to say this but, the samsung actually looks better in the video as well as in the photo department, not the night time video tho, the samsung phone was just bad, but who actually shoots at night.

iPhone 12 mini is $100 cheaper and the camera is that good! The clear winner for me. And that's not even talking about size. I have been waiting for a phone that feels like a phone for years. I am so sick of trying to shove a mini-tablet into my pocket.

The pixel size on the s21 is way bigger though so it should take better low light images
Technically it's smaller because there are more of them on a similarly sized sensor. That's why it defaults to pixel binning, otherwise the low light performance would be much worse.

Oh. I thought you were talking about the phone in this video. But either way, I’d rather not have a 3rd lens if it’s a fake zoom lens. Either do it right, or don’t do it at all. It’s basically a downgrade from the s10, which did have a true optical zoom.
