    I bought the S21. It was down to price in the end with Samsung offering an additional discount, it costed me a lot less than the equivalent 128 iPhone 12, not even talking abouts the pro.. Love it so far in its sexy purple color.

    Great video, absolutely spot on with no ‘fanboy’ approach.
    I have recently moved over to iPhone 12 Pro having been Galaxy owner for many years, I miss a lot of things from Samsung/Android, but I have found that the iOS general running feels smoother.
    Apple ProRAW has impressed me with its quality but I have to admit the S21 ultra has got my attention (mainly for the camera and zoom ).
    The only downside I see is the size of the Galaxy s21 ultra, the depreciation in value over a short amount of time and that Europe get exynos chip and slower updates. I would say whether you are using iPhone or Samsung we are very lucky to have such amazing devices. Stay safe 👍🏻

    • @redbean2705
      @redbean2705 3 года назад +1

      Can I ask what you missed about samsung/android when you used the iphone 12 pro? Im thinking of switching, but the things I will miss are the main things stopping me from making the switch

    • @xcleggyx
      @xcleggyx 3 года назад +6

      @@redbean2705 hi, I missed simple things from Samsung such as once you set an alarm it tells you on Lock Screen, the always on display showing you the time as I used that at night as my bedside clock while charging my phone, the side screen function for calculator and other tasks.
      I also missed that on Samsung the camera was more versatile as it also included manual mode where as on iPhone you have to buy an app to have similar functions. Other aspects of Android I miss were the general day to day things, notification types, swipe down to access quick settings. Android allow more customisation if you like that type of thing (such as nova launcher).
      On the flip side with Apple I have found that it feels more stable, no apps crash. The way it feels in general day to day use feels good, at first it felt very basic coming from Android.
      The camera albeit basic, takes amazing photos (but lacks a decent zoom) on point and shoot, Apple ProRAW format produces amazing photos with simple tweaks using stock editor or darkroom/Lightroom.
      I also find that there are better and more stable apps in the store for apple. Updates come out more frequent on Apple than the delayed one on Samsung for Android.
      Another big thing for me is that I have a premium feeling phone which is easy to use in one hand and fits in pockets much better.
      I’m no fanboy and I really do think both have advantages over each other, the s21 ultra looks amazing especially with camera functions/zoom but it’s size put me off. I hope that kinda helps.

    Since I've switched from apple, I haven't any intention of switching back. I'm surprised and disheartened to learn that Samsung is following apple's lead with charger-not-included. apple going that route is understandable. Even now, I have lots of apple chargers about; Samsung, not so many. I have been impressed by the android systems and various apps & games. The apps I need are available on both: not the exact same, but similar, anyway. (Grocery list, to do list, notes, social medias, and search engines) Photo & video differences are marginal, and not the most important to me. In conclusion, I'd go Samsung because it's more attractive, and not many people I know have apple any longer.

    Both are good, but I think the choice will be more about the OS and ecosystem you live in as the churn between these two is less than reviewer imply. Over in Europe, Samsung's main competitors are other Android OEMs as we have a more open market than the US, and that means $800 for the s20 is probably $200 more than it should be. Obviously, Samsung fans will not be dissuaded by the cost but the more value-orientated, non-fandom consumer, will probably not get the S20, especially as it is Exynos as well.
