We had this playing in the background for family Christmas today. A true classic.

Clark's Aunt Betheny was played by Mae Questel, pioneering voice actress and actress. She was one of voice actresses that voiced both Popeye's Olive Oyl and Betty Boop. Mae voiced Betty Boop for 1988's Who Framed Roger Rabbit?
Aunt Betheny's cat is unharmed in the making of this film. Special effects crew did an amazing job making cat being cooked.
National Lampoons Christmas Vacation is without a doubt one of my favorite films to screen every holiday season! Not because it's hilarious, which it is, but because much like the scene where Clark is in the attic watching old films with a tear in his eye, it takes me back to Christmases of my childhood.🎄🎅

I could not stop laughing with Laura's reaction during the cat scene. 😂 Laura was so done with this movie after that scene 😂
I felt bad for Clark until he found he can no longer afford to build a pool. This scene hits differentially watching as an adult. You have a huge house, go on expensive vacations (the other movies) and can even buy another family their Christmas presents.

Clark didn't just go the extra mile to make sure this Christmas would be memorable, he went the extra thousand miles 😂 Huge Christmas tree, 25k lights which took down the power grid, all the relatives in their house, the insanely hilarious fails and hoops he had to go through - all of this just mixed into this perfect Christmas comedy.

National Lampoon was an American humor magazine in the '70s and '80s that featured dark, offensive humor. Their first movie was Animal House, but the Vacation movie franchise has probably been the most successful of the National Lampoon movies.

This was the very first movie I ever saw when I was a little kid & it was in the theater. None of the swearing ever registered to me because I didn't know what swearing was. This movie set my outlook on Christmas. The accidents in movies like this & Home Alone were based on cartoons around that time like Warner Bros. cartoons, like 'Looney Tunes' & 'Tom & Jerry'; cartoon logic. Merry Christmas to you two 👍🙂✝

Also, fun fact, Chevy Chase actually broke his pinky during the scene where he was freaking out over the lights not working. As soon as the director called cut, he went and got it looked at and they kept the take.
Also saw there was a deleted scene that showed he had to dig the tree out since he didn't have an axe. Probably could've left that one in since I was always confused how he got the tree out root and all

In the series you do get to understand Clark a little better & can understand why he's always daydreaming of hot, younger girls. His unlucky life, his family not being your typical hallmark family....and just his struggle to keep together a normal family vacation or holiday. The dude needs his moments to escape his dull struggle.

21:21 it's called eggnog and it's so delicious. You can buy it at the grocery store during Thanksgiving and Christmas time, especially in the USA. We Americans love it!

2. GOOF: The lights outside the attic window don't match the pattern with the rest of the house.

Love this movie. Been watching it every so often since it first came out. You guys should also react to the original "National Lampoons Vacation". There is more background about the relatives that come in the camper. It's hilarious. I really like that one.

I love this movie cuz I can relate yeah he's a goofy annoying neighbor in a Dutch for father but the fact that all he wants to do is have a family Christmas that he had when he was a kid and that is sweet because all he cares about is having a Christmas with his family and it's sad that that's not what's all about everybody cares about presents and gifts and to have a family Christmas with all his I can respect❤

It's a festive, unbelievably hectic time of the year here in the US (the insanity seems to begin earlier every year!), and I must admit, I'm relieved when it's over. 😵💫
You have to watch Vacation and European Vacation as well , both are hilarious and the dog in Vacation is crazy funny

Let's also remind them about the fact that Chevy Chase was an original cast member of "Saturday Night Live" back in 1975-76, and the craziness he got up to on that show. The girls, not necessarily for a reaction video, should look up "Chevy Chase SNL falling" on YT to watch some of those crazy falls he used to do to start the show back in the day.
You should react to Ninjago, I think You would enjoy it. If you choose to give it a try, don’t forget the pilot season before season 1 and the special edition (named “Day Of The Departed”) between season 6 and 7.

It's true that this is part of a movie series, there's three other movies plus a sequel that's mostly a reboot that nobody likes (and seeing the trailer it looks horrible!)
The moose mugs or cups are actually a reference to the 1st movie, National Lampoon's Vacation, were they travel to a carnival theme park and the mascot is a moose.
What's funny and pretty interesting is that the kids have been played by different actors, but the dad and mom has been played by the same actors in all the movies, including the crappy reboot, Chevy Chase and Beverly D'Angelo. What's also funny is that both Chevy and Beverly voiced their characters in a gag joke on Family Guy's Star Wars episode XD =)
Cousin in-law Eddie was in the 1st and I believe the 4th movie and he had his own spin off Christmas movie, and was played by the same actor Randy Quaid.

* I don't know why, but the part that made me laugh the hardest is when they thought they were looking at the Christmas star(Sirius, or Polaris, but likely Sirius), and uncle Lewis completely kills the mood by blurting out: "That ain't the friggin' Christmas stah Gris, it's the light over the sewage treatment plant." lol, what a buzzkill lol.
8:28 - the bed is way too close to the ceiling for someone to actually use that bed to sleep in. Almost seems as if it was done that way for that particular scene. Also something I've noticed recently... the Griswolds have two kids. Audrey has her own room. Rusty has his own room. So why are there bunkbeds in Rusty's room? Couldn't Rusty and Audrey use the bunk beds in that room and leave the big bed they were sleeping in for the grandparents?
I always wondered if this movie is shown in Europe?

Wow. You guys had the wrong mindset watching this classic National Lampoon comedy. You should've seen the previous National Lampoon Vacation at least to get the humor. It's interesting that you were told you can watch this film separately from the others. You would have no idea about Cousin Eddie and his crazy family or some of the in-jokes sprinkled around without seeing the first "Vacation" movie before this one. If there is a series it's usually best to watch them in order. FYI 😊
You can still watch this one without any prior knowledge though. They don't really reference anything from the previous movies and the only things seeing them would help with is Eddie and family actually showing up and some sly winks they do there.
Next time you should react to Heat (1995), its a great movie, you should watch it absolutely.
