Thanks, wasn't sure how this video would do, but I planned the day that way more for us than the video. Hopefully it will encourage some others to do the same. It was almost like a good night rest compared to our normal fishing trips😁
Happy Anniversary!!! Another great down to earth video with the simple pleasures in life! Good wife, good fishing, good food and a nice quiet place to enjoy it all! Can't ask God for much more. This brought back a lot of good memories spending a portion of my youth fishing the bayous and small lakes of south Louisiana; from Donaldsonville, Napoleonville, Morgan City and Houma area. Thanks again for all the excellent content y"all post!
Your very welcome, glad you enjoyed!! I haven't fished much fresh water in South Louisiana, but I do like fishing Salt water. Guess. Louisiana is blessed with some of the best fishing the world has to offer. Our people don't know how good we got it. I've been in about 10 other countries, many of which fishing is either illegal, or so strictly enforced you don't want to. That's why I call This "God's Country"!!!
This is where I learned to fish as a child. My grandparent lived just up the hill from the Looter. I fished there for lots of years as an adult. Ya:lls video brought back lots of memories, athanks'
Always cool seeing locals find our channel. I've had some of my finest memories in the De lutre bottoms. Grew up learning to hunt and fish there. Some of the prettiest cypress in the world!!
I understand completely! Here the last few years I’ve went back to white perch fishing with just a simple cane pole and love every minute of it. Thanks for taking me back to a simpler time.
That's actually one of my future video ideas. We use to cut our own cane poles and dry them. Those things were the best. Store bought ones broke too bad. My Grandpa taught me how to fix them. May do that in the future and then use them in an upcoming video!! I've got to push myself in the future to slow down like this more
Man I gotta tell you I grew up around a feller that y’all would pass as twins. I’m not just talking about appearance I’m talking everything. He was a huge part in my life and I’m thankful for it.

I credit God's Creations in the outdoors with keeping me from spending time and money on the wrong stuff in life. Lack of influence in young men and young ladies lives is what's wrong with today's society. Influence others to enjoy the outdoors. God Bless!!!
I had to work late tonight and when I got home the kids and dog were all asleep in bed with the wife so I headed to the couch for the night and end up seeing a new God’s Country was posted. Not a bad consolation prize at all lol. Another great video and great message also. In the summers as young kids we were all up and down the banks of the bayou where I lived bream fishing just about every day. We were bringing fish home all the time to clean so my mom or dad could fry them for us. They never would say no. That must have been their way of keeping us out of the house and making sure we stayed out of trouble lol. Good times
Same memories I have. I know at 5 I was on that creek bank by myself. I fished so much by 5 I guess either they trusted me, figured I would toughen up, or maybe they wanted rid of me, LoL. Kids nowadays can't be left alone at 10 years of age. I've decided it's not the kids, but our society and the way there raised. Glad you enjoyed it!
Yep I don’t think I was too much older than you when I started fishing by myself. I couldn’t get enough of it lol. Hopefully my kids stay on the right track. It’s definitely different from when we were growing up. We live right across the levee from one of the river lakes and my son is out there a good bit fishing or chasing snakes like the crocodile hunter lol. He’ll spend hours trying to find limbs in the woods so he can make his own fishing pole. And my daughter is starting to take an interest in fishing now too so maybe we’re doing something halfway right
