My daddy lived to be 81 years old & he always loved to go fishing & he favorite saying was" if the fish is big enough to bite the hook its big enough to eat". He's been gone 11 years this July & I miss going fishing with him. If you ever get to co.e to Florida hit me up & we can show you what North Florida has in fresh water.
Thank you so much
For us po' boys with no boat, this is what we're talking about! Great video.
Amen. This is fun too def a challenge finding the spots
Jared, I've never seen someone take bream and Ramen noodles and turn it into a $1000 dish😄👍
And I kinda envy you my friend, you have unlimited places to fish, here where I'm at in NC, very limited. Love your content brother!!!👍👍
Jay 🕊🕊🕊
You’re one of my favorite subs hands down. Appreciate you
Jared, we call the red-ear sunfish 'shellcracker' here in Georgia and they run a bit larger than the bluegill. They are all tasty! Keep on fishing!
Amen to that. Yes I’ve heard them called shell cracker before too
Jared ,
You are my pick for the parish ambassador
The officials need to appoint you. What a fantastic video. Loved your fish dish. Thanks for the great video , Full of information
Thanks my brother I hope I am making them proud
@@OutsidetheLevees I meant every word great job
So nice to see that St.Bernard is building public piers & observatories for public use & education… The Meraux Corporation has become a Great Asset to the Parish…
Yes they are good folks!
Good food and great bait, I love catching bream they fight like a tiger as long as you match the rod to fish.....ultra light is the way to go. Great video keep them coming.
Amen to that. Thanks as always
Like your videos
Always appreciate you
My cousin and I used to take our pirogues and fish the 40 Arpent canal. that was some fun fishing with a fly rod! The Whitehouse canal was a good one too!
Good video neighbor! Can’t wait to go perch jerking when I get my boat out da shop 😎
Get dat bruh! Thank you!
Jared, the reason I like your channel so much is the naturalness of it. You put children in it but you don’t drown us in kids. You have variety, not only in animals, but in what they are doing. Your channel is not always animals showing varying ways of dying. When you did that episode, a few months?? ago about hunting with dogs, you had the ideal opportunity of showing off a bunch of loud, wild men having a party. You missed the opportunity, and I thank you for that.
To sum up….your videos are just excellent entertainment!!! (And great advertising for your parish)
All I can say is thank you!
Sincerely,
Rod Fair
Man this comment warms my heart and means so much to me. Bless you and thank you

Crawfish sack to keep your fish!! Brilliant….I like it
Reduce reuse recycle
Too keep it simple “another great video “!!!!!! Keep it up and we will keep watching!
Thank you so much man
Awesome video! That is some fishing fun! My favorite fish to eat is a fried hand size bream!
Yes indeed
Those pan fish are mighty tasty. Good little video.
Amen to that. Thank you as always
As always mr jarred great video
You the man bro
Lovely video as always, Jared! As always made me so hungry.
My way of hooking my worms is, I always "cover" up the hook by getting the whole hook in the worm and then what's left over of the worm, pierce the tip of the hook with it. That part will make it still be able to wiggle around and the hook doesn't show that way. Only works with "bigger" sized worms tho.
Yes def have to have the right size for that. Thanks for watching
Hey Jared ,I lost track of yah.
I said I know he was fishin for Bream somewhere lol, then there He is 😊.
We caught these all our lives at friends ponds and lakes .
I grew up on the Salt Water and they wouldn't eat em .
If I'd have know I would have !
Why that's a different Supper xxz
Thanks Jared ,and Hi to the Family 🎉
JO JO IN VT 💞
Thank you so much for the support!
Thanks brother Jared. I miss Louisiana (Morgan city) , it broke my heart when my parents moved us to cali
Dang. Make a trip for sure
Awesome video dude! I got some fillets thawing now for dinner tonight!
Yes indeed bruh!
Great fishing 🎣 video
My man!
Perfect vid sir, thank you!
You the man!
Way to go brother love the video. I went fishing Sunday got 7 red ears 2 cats and 1 shoepick on baby crawfish what a great day
Sounds like a good day to me bro
I ran across your video, I never knew about that location. I"m always looking for a different location to fish. I've come to notice that a little bait.goes a long ways. They'll go for an inch of bait which saves you on using all of your bait. I enjoyed your video!!🎣
Thanks for watching I really appreciate you! Let me know how you like the spot
Great video, we're in a weird spot in Ohio. It's Crappie season but we have aggressive gills mixed in. We just came off a super warm April. Best of both worlds lol. Fish on!!
I wish we had crappie here. Thanks again for watching
Amazing content! "warm & fuzzy :)" Blessings from Lockport!
Thank you! You too!
Great content !!
Thank you so much try that recipe let me know if you like it
Loving it bro 😎✔️😎🎣
My man!
I usually thread the worm on to cover the hook and leave a small tail at the end. Love your videos man, keep up the good work.
The small tail is a good idea. I like the worm to be able to move that’s why I loop
Man I live in Arabi, gonna have to go check that place out. Nice video 👍
Let me know how you like it
@@OutsidetheLevees went yesterday late afternoon. It's a nice place, still some ongoing construction. Caught 5 nice perch. Ran across a bunch of those apple snail egg clusters. Nocked about a dozen or so down
Looks good. Are you old enough to remember the old LA FW station in the Biloxi Marsh? It was on a split in the marsh and a great place to catch redfish. Also a great place to get Fresh water. I think Katrina took it
No I do not remember that. Thanks for watching!
Them big old brim are some good eating!
Yes sir!
good size bream for that spot, bravo!
Yes indeed!
Cool man. It's my birthday and everyone is far away. Having a good time with you. Thanks, I'll walk to the bar for an hour
Happy Belated Birthday!
Another great video nothing wrong with that definitely gone haft to bring my little 5 year old niece out there and do a perch jerking.
Let me know how yalll like it
@@OutsidetheLevees will do keep up the awesome content look forward to the videos.
Jared, where I’m from up north here in Minnesota, I was taught to thread the worm on like you would a plastic bait and then expose the hook at the end. We only use about an inch or inch and a half otherwise we run out of bait to dang quick. Have you ever tried canned corn for bait for your brim (we call them sunnies up here)?
Man I am def trying corn next! I love that idea
I dont comment on vids usually but I just gotta say I love the vibe keep it up man
I really appreciate it.
Jared, we hook bigger earth worms twice but break them in half. If using wigglers, hook em twice also. No weight here as well most times unless going deep.
Amen to that. Thanks for watching
You live in a good place!!!!!
Sure do. Thanks for watching
I never knew that place was there. I’m going to have to take the kids out there this weekend since we can’t get out on the boat with all the high winds.
How did you do?
@@OutsidetheLevees only got a couple with worms. Worked the whole pond. Really cool spot and had it all to ourselves.
I love to fry them whole. I just love how the fins get crispy like chips
Yep that is the number 1 way for sure
It’s hard to beat those big bluegill and redear! Those are some donkeys!!!
Try that recipe bro I know you catch plenty of them!
Jared that place looked soo cool, and what an awesome fishing session, by any chance did you see any gators?, and as always best wishes to you and the family 😊👋🙌🍺🍺🍺
I saw one small one. As always thank you for the support
@@OutsidetheLevees Jared can I ask you to do me a favor please and thank you, can you please do a snakehead fish catch and cook and tell me how it taste for a future episode and Thank You as always brother 😊🍺🍺🍺
👍Ça c’est bon 🤠
Thank you
I leave about 1/2 an inch at the top and thread the worm on the hook and leave a little hang off the end...
Keep them videos coming bro!
-T.Wood
Yes sir thank you!
Where’d you get the chili crisp? Looks awesome!
Wal mart
I like to season fish with lemon pepper, garlic salt, chili powder, and italian bread crumbs .. ummmm good.
My wife always wants to go to NOLA for our trips. But, I want to make it out to St. Bernard Parish because I'm interested in Isleño culture. It is on my bucket list to do some nutria hunts, get some alligator gar (since it is illegal now in Florida), and do a few otger things I can't do here.
You could do something different every day here
I sure wish I was there catching fish.
Cmon down!
You know thats gotta be good.
Sure was!
I want to see a bank fishing video with a 10’-12’ Cane Pole, like we use to do as a kid…
Oooh good idea!
Man them look so tempting. I want to come catch me some, to see if them Cats will come to feed. We been using "Slickers",& although they not killing them still just a few are biting. Shame on them, cause I'm eating Catfish regularly. B-Strong, B n Christ.
I haven’t caught any cats there but we got plenty spots for that
Them cichlids will make good live bait for flatheads lol
I’m ready bruh
I use about 1/4 inch of worm for perch & crappie
Hook it though length way
Bout all it takes
Yes indeed! Thanks for watching
I think I would like to fish that spot. Have you ever fished with artificial bait?
I didn’t try it no. Let me know how you do
There's a Vietnamese saying, 'dat lanh chim dau', which can loosely be translated as 'with fertile land, birds will come'. The way i see it is if birds can come, so will the fish. Come visit St. Bernard in Louisiana, folks.
Man that’s beautiful
@@OutsidetheLevees 👍
I love fried bream dragged in a little ketchup.
Yes indeed that’s a good ole
Classic
Don't have just one way to hook worms but Dude! Take the cable tie off the reel foot and the plastic from the cork rid handles! It's there just for shipping!
Man y’all notice stuff I never even think about lol. Too busy messing with the videos I guess
Beautiful perch h5eat
MI
Thanks bro!
Jared in my neck of the woods the worms you are using are called wigglers real earthworms are much bigger I rig my size 4 hook in the middle of the worm and hide the point
I had never heard that before just redworm and I calm them both earthworms because they technically are but yea you are correct
When Jared "Blue crab" Sarigne' speaks, people listen.
Lol thank you
oh, those ramen.
Right?!
That’s a Bluegill bro.
Which one? We checked all of them
Damn it man, I went to my microwave.
lol. Thanks for watching
What street is that on
8201 Benjamin
Thank will be in Violet Louisiana the weekend
cut that little cyclid up and put a little meat on the hook, great brim bait, and crappie bait..
Wait a minute, launch a kayak? Isn't that like sleeping under the stars in Alaska in a sleeping bag and not washing up before bed? Instead of a bearitto, you're a gatorbar human flavored?
finally cut the place i see much needed
Yes it looks beautiful
So interesting how you finish off your fish! Did I notice an alligator warning sign? Please sometime discuss the possibility of encountering alligators in your LA parks. Great video!
Yes there are some smaller gators in this area
Why hot 5gal bucket easier to carry? Hahaha likewise awesome video bro.. Gills are good eating, I just hook the worms along the shape of the hook
Can fit more in the basket I guess just really like them
I call them perch or sunfish. I’ve had a few northerners correct me since they’re not actual perch.
I know that’s why I started saying bream
I do my worms just like you
Amen!
Slide it on like a sock
I like the loop so they can move around some
worm them on there so they don't see the hook and you wasted those tails to be fried as well
I like the loop so they can move. Didn’t waste them I saved them for you come get them lol
@@OutsidetheLevees the tails are the best part lol
I'm not nocking on your noodles just give me the fish nothing better then some bream fryed up
Well that wouldn’t make for a very interesting video lol
Love a good bluegill fried fillet!
My man!
All love from VA can’t wait to come visit/ fish LA
