Thanks for reviewing this! I don't have a Switch yet, but I've been thinking about getting one...and I'm a HUGE Kairosoft fan and I was interested in hearing about how well the games they've been releasing for Switch did on a different platform!
My wife fell in love with this game recently. She is really picky about games but this one is in her heart already even after only an evening of play last night. She played till almost 2 am and that's a huge deal!! Warms my heart to see her enjoy games again. Only other ones she plays are Death squared, Word Search by POWGI, Bloons TD 5, Human Fall Flat, Stardew Valley, Octo Dad, and Zen Bound 2.
I played this a bunch when it was released on iOS. I really liked it back in the day until you get to the end game where it just seems very rinse and repeat. I think a great similar game is Holy Potatoes: A Weapon Shop which lampoons a lot of "gamer culture" and has more of a story / motivation for playing the game. As addictive as it is, I don't think I'll double dip.
That's fair enough buddy. I think a fair few people will have already had their fill with this one. Still addictive though even when you know all the ins and outs of it
Yeah it is, I played it on my channel for a video a few months back. It's fun but I prefer Holy Potatoes on the PC / Mac with a keyboard and mouse than the controller (when not playing hand held).
I have had this game for years and I must say I have enjoyed it through and through. I have always been a big fan of Kairosoft games as they have usually made some well made pixelated mobile games for the usual price of around $5.50. I'm glad they're finally moving up in the world, but I wish they made new games on the likes of the switch and not just port in old ones...
I love almost all KairoSoft games. ITS really great that at least three of them are coming to the switch. Hoping for a exclusive down the line. Great review as always!
Eric Plourde Except this game came first and is much better, in my opinion. If you don’t like the price, give it a try on mobile. It’s out for IOS and Android. Its maybe $5. I think the game is amazing. So many outcomes and it’s so rewarding to replay and get better and better earlier in the gameplay until you achieve an almost perfect play through. Acquiring the different great characters for each position within you staff and expanding your office space is also a great aspect of gameplay.
I wish the game was less expensive cause it's $4.99 (and sometimes $3.99) on iPhone. I've been a fan of theirs for soooo long, like probably 5-6 years now, and I was so excited when their games came out on the Switch! Thanks for this review
@@elelel1987 It's not even worth $12 cause it's the exact same as the iPhone game, just on a larger screen. I get why it's more expensive cause it's on the Switch but stilllll
Liked this game but had it on my phone reluctant to get it for my switch + won’t have time as dark souls is coming soon and haven’t played that before so a bit excited. Good review as always

Any major differences between the phone version and the switch version ? Currently going for the same price on the eshop not sure which ones to get. I think I will get switch one because there are too many distractions on phone.
I think most people will have played it a ton already which doesn't work in its favour. Kind of like if Angry Birds released on the Switch. Not sure how many would buy it.
Can you recreate TellTell Games? Meaning you make 1 type of game and when it finally makes it big you reskin the game and release it over and over and over until the companies sudden collapse which you never saw coming but most did as you literally just remade the same game all the time. Honestly, it sucks that a lot of talented people are out of a job but the amount of genre fatigue they created, I’m not surprised it happened and expected it sooner.

This is a great game, but it loses it's replay value pretty quickly after beating it. Such a shame it's so overpriced on switch with no improvements.
I think it should have been half the price for sure. Still a great game though

The mobile version allows you to play the first year for free. At this point, anyone with a phone has played this. Nice video, though.
I loved their racing game, and this one reminds me a game dev game on steam, bought it!

I think I’m leaning more towards Dungeon Village, the fantasy setting seems more interesting.

wish kairosoft would make updates to this game i really like it but gets kinda boring without new stuff
The price seems too steep for me. Great in depth review Jordan! Wonder if I can make An EA company, release a ton of dlc and micro transactions.
No DLC or microtransactions can be put into your games, it was made before those were even a thing, a some would say a better time haha
