I know the problem. If it's blinking red, the battery is completely discharged from sitting too long. The charger won't work in this condition. You have to put a little bit of a charge to the battery from another battery. You connect a wire from the positive of one, to the positive of the other. You do the same with the negative. The batteries are marked with the + on one side of the battery, and a - on the other. After a few minutes, you should be able to connect the battery to the charger and see it blink green. You can read the voltage with a meter. I just fixed 2 batteries that wouldn't charge by doing this.
@@project-hobby I didn’t buy, but I did bring it back and got it replaced. Since just the battery was broken, I got a whole new sander, battery and charger.
@@Hansolyopeeps Inject 18 volts with a source other than the battery for a few minutes and thus fool the charger when you connect it again. The problem is that the battery discharged below what the charger is configured for. It is a scam to get you to buy more batteries, the solution is simple.
