Thank you for sharing your simple wire wrap. I especially like let The rock speak to you. I once heard that every rock has a story all you have to do is pick it up and let it tell you it's story. So again thank you for your video
LoveEmpress5 I'd love to live there too! It's on the coast of Oregon, a few hours north of the California border. I think it must say something about our natures that we love these stones, just as they are. As I wear mine, I see it as a claiming of what is natural and wild inside myself.
Thank you for this video! I love seeing the different ways people wrap their stones while trying to figure out what works for me. I live on the Oregon coast too and am just trying my hand at wrapping some agates! This really helped and I love your easy going and positive vibration, you have such a lovely flow and I know your rocks love it too! 🌀✌🏼
SO THANKFUL AND GREATFUL FOR YOUR VIDEO AND TAKING THE TIME TO SHOW ALL OF US THIS PROCESS. WONDERFUL AND SO ANXIOUS TO TRY THIS. BLESSINGS SENT TO YOU.
You are very good at describing a simple yet stunning design for rock wrapping. Thank you for keeping it simple and elegant. Okay, I am going to try it now.
Thanks so much for this inspiring video. My family travels often and I always remind them to bring me a rock. Have a neat stone from Niagara Falls that will be wrapped for my first project. Beautiful scenery in your area!
thankyou for this fabulous video. i have seaglass, pebbles, shells and gemstones to work with. have hesitated on crafting these until now. you just inspired me. you r great. love the beach house and the view.
Good morning Donna. A beautiful sunny day her in Goose Creek, S. C. I did some wire wrapping yesterday n for a new be its not as easy as one might think. But it's all good n I will keep practicing . After all they are for me. 🤓🤗
Peggy Sparling, make sure you're not using polished stones, which are slick and much more difficult to work. Otherwise, just consider that you're learning a new language with your hands. It can take a bit to grow used to these elements. But once you get used to the few basics - using your needle nose pliers to make circles and spirals, and again to tighten the bands around your stones, you can use these few tweaks in a wide variety of ways to express your individual style. Let it happen, honoring your own process...
With all the beautiful things the ocean washes in..omg I'd go crazy collecting and making. I'm a silver smith...everything is potential jewelry. The jewelry is beautiful btw u did a lovely job. Love that U let the stone tell you 💜 same as me.
Thanks Donna! Since watching your video, I’ve been using this technique with shards of shell I’ve gathered from the Gulf of Mexico right down the way from my beach home in FL. I’m having lots of fun! Your background for this video is amazing. I love the Oregon coast. There is no other place like it. Enjoy and thank you again.
Lovely, easy to follow video. One point. Especially for those looking for tools, what you are calling needle nose pliers are called round nose pliers. And bent nose pliers.
Hi Donna, I just want to thank you for such a lovely and easy to follow tutorial! I'm just a beginner and I'm having so much fun that I'll be a pro in no time! Well, maybe not a pro but that's just me telling myself to stay positive! Lol I've subscribed so I'm off to find more of your videos! Thanks again, Lee
Isn't it fun, just exploring possibilities? I notice that as I stay curious - opening myself to various approaches - that I'm feeling a kind of wonder and even internal guidance that is independent of the outcome. But paradoxically, the less attached I am to being "good" or even "perfect" , the more I enjoy the results, too.
Thanks for asking about the pendant I'm wearing. To answer your question about how I did the back, I always use the backs for tightening the wire by adding small twists. Sometimes I like the effect so much that I decide to make it the front!
I WAS TRYING SOOO HARD TO PAY ATTENTION, BUT, THE OCEAN KEPT GETTING IN MY WAY!!..LOL...BUT THANK YOU FOR DOING THIS..I BELONG WITH THE OCEAN, I FOUND OUT THAT MY HEALTH IS FAILING AT THE AGE OF 42...NOW...AND I PRAY THAT I WILL BE WITH IT ONE MORE TIME..
I know this is an older video. I like to go back to this for inspiration. I just want to add for those who don't want to invest in a bail making plier tool, u can use a dowel. (or a pen, eyebrow pencil, etc.) I'm all about wire wrapping on a budget. Tfs
Beautiful!!! Was wondering if the silver wire will ever tarnish or becomes discolored, like some will get reddish with time because the silver "plating" will worn off. I am really scared about that.I have quite a few jewelry that I made with craft stores products where the silver turned to a orange/reddish color.I do not swim or wash with them, and I keep them covered when not in use. Thank you.
Thanks for sharing this Donna. I'm going to get out some of the rocks my now adult daughters collected and make them necklaces! And NOW... could you please make a really, really long video of the view out that window?? ;-)
Thanks! I think you have the names of the pliers confused. The pliers you're calling "needle-nosed" are round-nosed pliers. The ones you're calling "blunt-nosed" are needle-nosed pliers. Blunt-nosed pliers are straight at the end -- they don't come to a point (needle-nosed).
I love the one you are wearing (I think because it is going horizontal, which you don't see too many times). Any chance you remember how you did that one (I know this video has been on for a couple of years. Thanks for the tutorial :)
Chiaretta Croce you can buy this wire in any craft store that sells jewelry making supplies. They come in a range of qualities and prices. I find that the silver plated wire is fine. It may tarnish over time, but it's shinable and affordable!
2023. I am a new older beginner . Questions please. 1)What kind of wire? 2)How long is this stone? 3)How long to cut the wire? 4) how to secure bale from bending backwards? Thank you. Looking forward to hearing from you before I purchase wire.
Hi Donna. Great video and design. My wife and I are just looking into making pendants and I like the idea of leaving the stone natural and not drilling or cutting them. I heard your favorite wire is 18 guage but type of metal is the wire? What is your favorite metal to work with. Thanks. Ronnie
Love your video! Beautiful work! Hi, Im just starting out. I have collected some sea glass. I now just need to buy tools and wire. Another artist said I should get round nose pliers, but I see you are using needle nose. Are these similar and for similar purpse as the round nose? Also Im not sure what size/ length and or thickness I should buy. Id like to make pendants like yours with little metal spirals on the front. And I also need cutters. Please help. Thankyou! Oh and can you tell me a good place to order wire
Hello, im new to wirw wrapping, . For pendants 18 gauge wire is good. As for pliers round nose and needle nose pliers are very useful and needed. Round nose mostly if u want circular loops, but it down at hurt to have both. Good luck to u . I also use a dowel or pen to make my bail bc I'm create on a budget so I have not gotten a bail making pliers yet. Hope this was helpful.
Thank you for sharing your simple wire wrap. I especially like let The rock speak to you. I once heard that every rock has a story all you have to do is pick it up and let it tell you it's story. So again thank you for your video

Donna you are a breath of fresh air. Thank you!
Simply Beautiful! I Love Rocks. What a complementary way of adorning rocks without covering up their beauty. Nice. Id Love to live where you are.
LoveEmpress5 I'd love to live there too! It's on the coast of Oregon, a few hours north of the California border. I think it must say something about our natures that we love these stones, just as they are. As I wear mine, I see it as a claiming of what is natural and wild inside myself.
Perhaps, I'll be Blessed to venture up there one day. How Lovely

Jesus? Is that YOU?
Same here, its beautiful 🤗
Me too, I even ask which ones would like me to wrap them into pretty pendants!
Where did Donna Belt get the necklace she is wearing? HELP OR SHOW US HOW TO MAKE IT!!!
What do you mean by 18 or 20
