Thanks! I think you have the names of the pliers confused. The pliers you're calling "needle-nosed" are round-nosed pliers. The ones you're calling "blunt-nosed" are needle-nosed pliers. Blunt-nosed pliers are straight at the end -- they don't come to a point (needle-nosed).

2023. I am a new older beginner . Questions please. 1)What kind of wire? 2)How long is this stone? 3)How long to cut the wire? 4) how to secure bale from bending backwards? Thank you. Looking forward to hearing from you before I purchase wire.

Just an FYI... Those are round-nosed pliers. They shouldn't be used to squeeze your loop as they mark the wire. Use your flat-nosed pliers for that. Also, when you cut your wire, use the flush side against the wire; the other side will leave a divot that gives the wire an unfinished look.

Hi Donna. Great video and design. My wife and I are just looking into making pendants and I like the idea of leaving the stone natural and not drilling or cutting them. I heard your favorite wire is 18 guage but type of metal is the wire? What is your favorite metal to work with. Thanks. Ronnie

I know this is an older video. I like to go back to this for inspiration. I just want to add for those who don't want to invest in a bail making plier tool, u can use a dowel. (or a pen, eyebrow pencil, etc.) I'm all about wire wrapping on a budget. Tfs
