    Praise the Low'rd...finally a Barn Find, that will get a proper treatment. thanks for not boring us with endless footage of extracting this car. Indeed she needs to be preserved, even if it requires that motor to come out and be gone through. The boys over on the H.A.M.B/Jalopy Journal, will want to see this. Go Man, Go!
    More restoration videos please. If the ole' girl could only talk, what a story she'd tell.

    I've got a 1940 pickup that was my first car, still in the garage, picking away at restoring it. Yours was at least inside a garage, rat poop is bad, but 27 years of parked outside in eastern Tennessee pretty well trashed my truck. Thanks a bunch dad for leaving it out to get destroyed by weather and rust.

    Wow!! Awesome Awesomene find! That’s one of my all time favorite years for a Ford. I just love 1940 Fords, in my opinion one of the best years for a Hot Rod....and as if it couldn’t get any better, it already is built from the beginning era for a Hot Rod! Yes as you said please keep her job how she is and enjoy that beauty. I’m new to your channel I just came across the Plymouth Valiant video another sweet find you discovered 👍. I’m a Mopar fanatic lol, but I love and appreciate all cars, especially flathead powered Hot Rods lol. Stoked to see a local guy with a RUclips channel I’m pretty local to you as i live in the San Gabriel valley. I’m a new subscriber and I want to let you know how much I appreciate what you are doing for the older cars out there especially in this screwey state we live in. As well as what you are doing for the great folks that are into cars 👍👍

      @@MikeFrankovich thank you for the response 👍. Yes I know what you mean about almost all of the local shows being canceled this year 🤦🏻‍♂️. I just realized that I misspelled and misplaced a few words in my first comment I left you lol. Also you may already know this but I remember hearing on kfi am640 a couple months back that Governor Newsoms proposal to ban the sale of gas powered vehicles was turned down. I’m pretty wrong about this part but I believe the report said it was the EPA that turned it down and bad said he was nuts to try to do that. Apparently there reason for turning it down is because California don’t have the infrastructure in place to be able to handle or support that many non gas powered vehicles. I just wanted to pass that on to you. Looking forward to more great content and videos, thank you.

    Sadly, California DMV won't let you reactivate the black plates, since they have dropped out of the computer system. Ironically, you can sell them for someone to use as Year of Manufacture plates for a 1963 - 1969 car, but they won't let you keep them registered to the car they were actually issued to. Dealers at swap meets try to get as much as $400 for a nice pair of black plates.

    • @chaserivers4058
      @chaserivers4058 3 года назад

      I was able to register mine, i got lucky and found an old registration with the plate number, which proved it was to that car.... and they wanted to inspect the plates.

      Generally preserving the patina is for preservation of the originality of the remaining factory paint. That ‘40 does not have original paint so, there is no point in saving it as original. I think that “preserving the patina” has become somewhat of a fad nowadays. I prefer the factory fresh look.
