Vlad, seemed like he was coming at Kendrick and siding with Drake, because Kendrick basically called Drake a culture vulture. So it didn't seem like Vlad was coming from a pure place with that criticism. It seemed like he was simply being petty.

These topics might get covered in certain fields of academics but they are not taught or covered all around to everyone that attends University. I think the sentiment he was trying to convey is true to an extent, at least in my own experience with higher education. But, Charlamange hit the nail on the head more than anyone. You can't tell someone known for music production and creation not to critique that very thing lol. Vlad didn't make a comment about race relations between Canada and the US, or what it means to be black in America, or Dot's bars about using the N word. He said the mix sucked.
