I love the idea of this shoot. Like a day date. The photos came out so well even the “ugly” ones. My fav were the ones with the cinestill film. It was so cute watching the model get more and more comfortable and playful as the video went on.
I only purchased 2 rolls of Cinestill 50D to try out, after this shoot, I immediately want to buy more, and the price not only went up 2 dollars more, and they are also sold out~ LOL Hopefully I’ll get more 50D down the road and do more this kinda of shoot!!
I was once given a roll of expired film. I was worried that the results would be horrible so I shot it with a 80-200mm lens on tripod. After each shot I reshoot again using a digital camera. After I have received the scan, I blend the film scan and the digital images together and played with the ratio.
You're one of the very few if not the only person whom I've seen shoot actually good pictures on Cinestill 50D. Everybody seems to overexpose by a lot and somehow make really flat images with it.
Thank you Antti. The default scan did come out pretty flat, I added a bit contrast in post. I know a lot of film photographer don't edit their photos... I'm still exploring :)
personally i recommend color plus in iso 64 if it not expired and Cinestill 50D i never use it becuase i love to use Kodak Vision 3 50D but it Cinema Color Negative Film , it to hard to develop.
interesting… I would love to try the color plus in different iso.. tbh the color plus is so far my least favorite film, it’s a little too grainy and maybe because I always used expired films, the color just not seems very consistent… but yeah, I would definitely giving it more try…
this is a really odd question but where did you get your hat? it reminds me of my old winnipeg blue bombers hat but i’ve never been able to find one anywhere!
Also expired consumer film vs a professional motion picture film made to look less grainy for VFX work. Good content! I loved the video and subscribed immediately
I fell in love with the cinestill films and purchased a bunch of 800T, and the 50D also went up 2 dollars more per roll compared with the first roll I bought for this video~ 🤣 and sold out on B&H… anyway~ thank you for your comment and subs!! I appreciate it ☺️
I learn so much from your videos, you are great! Been binge watching these now immediately after I found your amazing channel. This film looks gorgeous, must try it.
Omg the analogy of exes and expired film you killed me! 😂😂😂😂😂
My new fav channel! Keep the content coming Sam 😊
Thank you Matty

Ahhh.. I have this hat for a very long time.. I don’t remember where I got it… I’m sorry 🥲
thank you
Loved the video and the captures!
You did really well with your 2nd shoot!!
thank you ❤️
I love all of your content
thank you ❤️
Great portraits and relationship advice
I liked it, some people hate light leak, I can see why. But one out of a whole roll, I can accept it.
Such cool potraits, Sam!
☺️ ahh~ you are back!! Thank you!
What a cool video. I hope to have a 1n or 1v someday. Props! 🙏🏿
Thank you!! Hope you find one of this bad boy soon!! 🎉
