I wanted to drop a comment because I've noticed your videos showing up in my RUclips feed a few times, and I appreciate your efforts to create content for the gaming community I'm a part of. However, I've noticed something that might be worth considering. It seems like you often get early access to content, which is fantastic, but in the few videos I started to watch and left, you spend a lot of time explaining basic concepts to an audience that doesn't need it when you're talking about contents so ahead from the core box. Anyone interested in these expansions should already know what the base mechanics are and hence your content adds a lot of noise to whats really interesting about the video: to see the new stuff.
For instance, in your Next Evolution unboxing video, you were explaining what an event card is or what kind of resource there are.. or something basic like that. While these explanations can be helpful for newcomers, Next Evolution was the 6th expansion of the game and in this case Psylocke is the 47th Hero in the game so how many newcomers would really be watching something like this, like really, in the 80/20 of the people possibly interested how many would really want to learn basic things from the core box when you're showcasing the 47th hero. Spending time on these basics can come across as condescending and tedious to those who are already in the game. Maybe you're just starting with your channel and you want to start from scratch with notes such as those, but you could always create a separate tutorial video for newcomers where you cover the core basics and explicitly mention that more in-depth tutorials exist for new players. Then, when it comes to new releases, you can dive right into analyzing the mechanics or strategies, which would likely be more relevant to your audience.
As an example, there are some great channels like "Dave the Casual Gamer" who provides the best stage 0 tutorials like what you might be trying to do, "All You Can Board" who are awesome in reviewing new release packs, or "D20 Woodworking" which is an awesome channel for strategy on individual heroes. Of course, it's your channel and you can do whatever, but I believe doing some benchmark and really thinking who is the 80/20 of the audience for a core box review vs the 47th hero review would help.
And it's a friendly comment, I noticed you dont really get many comments either so again check out those other channels. They not only focus on the fresh, they also invite the community to discuss new things. If you create a video for a senior community now, with a core box, 6 expansions and +50 heroes by the end of 2023 of course it won't be that inviting. Ok? But kuddos on creating new contents, tho

I appreciate the views and the feedback. I will go back and look as I agree with you that the unboxing videos are more about the new content. I use the playthrough videos to teach the new stuff. I started doing that as I have people who play locally who have used my playthrough videos in order to determine if the game was for them. But I agree with you about unboxings being about the new content. Other than with hero packs as I like to stress to newcomers that they do not need to buy everything in order to play with friends. I do wish to cut time in my videos as I feel they are too long as is. Maybe these basic concepts are ones to consider. I will say that in the playthroughs I will be keeping the teach there as this game is so good, that I always want to leave the chance for a random person, finds my video, is interested in game, and can see if it is their playstyle before purchasing. I am a store owner and that is the concept I prefer, is that a person play before they pay, as the more people who get into and enjoy this hobby, then the more people that get to love this hobby as much as I do. I am sitting down now to find a way to maybe rework the teach on first round of playthroughs. Might be too soon to institute in next 2 playthroughs as have to film those tonight. Once again thanks for the insight, and appreciate the feedback.
