Was in GH in Nov/Dec 2023. Braided my hair for equivalent to 10 dollars hair included in the outskirts of Kumasi. I tipped so much the braider thought I was crazy. I would have paid no less than 200 dollars here in Canada.
What an amazing video. The visa situation is so easy right. We did online visas for my mum and my daughter and all the stuff you need to send etc.. it is so much easier to do that arrival visa. Good they put that in place. The place you stay in, is amazing 😊 . My daughter also had a home hairdresser, who we know very well. Kumasi of course is a bit cheaper, but compared to UK prices, its sooo cheap and very neat. With hair and anything it was 340 Ghana Cedies and hers was exactly like yours 😊. Ghana is a lovely place. I love it here so much. Enjoy it paa😊
Hi! I saw you in Ghana, I was soo happy to see you since I watch all of your videos. I wanted to say Hi but I didn't. I didn't want to freak you out while you were with your family. It was really lovely seeing you though
Welcome back, thank you for every information given it will be very helpful especially the Gatwick flight I didn't know, your video was also clear Ican hear everything you are saying thank you.
Vanessa is back to spank. Brand new, too. Welcome back, lady! And that hairstylist is the most reasonable hairstylist I have ever come across. My buddy got his hair braided and he was charged, $300 US. Not kidding you. You got away with murder there, and she came to your place to do it. That was a bargain. Good for you. Nice vid.
Hello from Aberdeen, Scotland! Great video and thanks for sharing your travel experiences with us. This video is making me so nostalgic. I miss Accra! I just braided my hair for £120😂
I wish there was more permanent visa on arrivals. It would be great to be able to easily visit African countries, last minute for a short, introductory stay.
@@VanessaKanbi It’s like many countries expect you to go to 1 country in Africa only. It’s naive and greedy. It’s part of the reason I haven’t been yet, plus the time I devoted to traveling around West Africa, 1.5 months, was in 2020. Nope, even more complicated.
Welcome back been watching your stories, looks like your having a great time. I much prefer the earlier flight time, unfortunately for us going this Easter it was more expensive maybe next time. Happy new year to you all xx
$37 for braids w/ hair included? OMG. I remember my cousin was so mad when I charged $60 for individuals braids which shops charge $200-$300 when I was 18 y/o. Speaking from an American POV. A large Part of me want the stylist to charge more because it's time consuming and a talent that everyone does not have. Bless her.
Hey Vanessa!! Nice flight, you know I love the commercial airliners😊. And will you do a vlog regarding your pineapple farm? Very very nice. Please keep coming out with more vlogs!!
7/1/24 Good to see you back Vanessa with family thanks for info on Gatwick flights to Ghana 🇬🇭 hope they will be visa free like Kenya 🇰🇪 soon Peace, love, Light, Health to All HalleluYah 🙏🏽💕Joy in the Holy Spirit HalleluYah
Hi Vanessa I live in Accra, Ghana. Precisely Achimota is my resident and I have a sandwich bar at Osu if you ever want to come by. have you ever considered having a baby sitter? I could do.
Hi Vanessa, how did you find travelling with a baby considering malaria etc. back home? I'd love to visit my family next year, but I'm worried to do it with a baby.
Welcome back miss V. We have all missed your videos. I have been following your content for awhile now and you had a policy of not including your kid's in your vlogs. Absolutely nothing wrong with seeing them on your videos but what changed your mind on that, just curious?
Does a newborn baby(such as yours) have to have a passport to travel? I would guess no but could be wrong. While on the subject, be sure to get your little ones both their UK and Ghanaian passports. They are entitled to both!
$75 is still way too expensive for visa on arrival so $150 is actually a joke. Most countries in Africa that go visa on arrival charge $50, and do so all year around.
Kenya, Tanzania… Sierra Leone even charges less at $25, and a number of others are visa free so do your research, Google is free, before you come and say people are lying. Ignoramus.
@@yo-a Kenya, Rwanda, Uganda charge $100, Sierra Leone is $80, Liberia is $130, Ivory Coast is 110 Euros. How did you get $25 for Sierra Leone? Stop spewing lies! Visit their portals. I know what I paid with my American passport.
@@Frank-Bediko62 hahaha no one cares about your American passport - you were just so desperate to share that you have an American passport hahaha. SAD Well Vanessa is travelling on a BRITISH PASSPORT and those are the charges for visiting those countries when doing so. Senegal is VISA FREE, Morocco is VISA FREE, South Africa is VISA FREE, Seychelles is VISA FREE, Kenya and Tanzania are $50 on both of their OFFICIAL VISA PAGES, Tanzania's Immigration page and Kenya's E-Visa page. So my point stands - $150 for a visa is a joke and $75 on a 50% sale is still too high SO ARGUE WITH YOURSELF and your precious American passport. Ignoramus.
