- Did you know that you can turn on closed captions for ANY videos online? I AM SO EXCITED TO SHARE THIS!!! I've been looking into how to make this happen for YEARS. I don't know how long it's been hiding right inside our browser, but better to figure it out late than never, amiright?
This also works for AUDIO of any kind. Basically, if there's sound coming from your computer, you're set.
ARE YOU AS EXCITED AS I AM?!

Thank you! This is soo helpful. There are so many times when I just want to watch a quick video while I'm watching a movie with my husband but I can't understand what's going on without a caption. Appreciate this!
You are such a delight! Thank you for this short and sweet instructions for CC.
Woot! Also, I love that green wall! Yay for accessibility!
Thank you, Peggy. You are great! I subscribed imediately.
thank you so much for helping me. i was desperately searching for a video like this
Thank you! This is exactly what I needed.
Thanks much Peggy! You're the best! 👍🏼🥂🥳
Wow, I really Love it. I was seeing a Video on Rumble using Chrome. Thank you so much beautiful lady🙏
OMG thank you so muchhhhhhh this was really helpful !😭
This is AWESOME! Thank you!
This is great Peggy, how could we download the captions, i mean the text format ?
Well said glad this is here we're all here for this :)
Thanks a lot, Appreciate this!
This is very helpful & easy to find! I'm going to try with Chromium, first. Then get &/or make a translator plug-in. thanks Peggy!😁
Not a Chrome user so still trying to figure this out with my browser but this content made me subscribe.
You're amazing! Thank you for this information!
Thanks this helped me a lot
thanks and merry xmas
Very helpful thank you
Amazing thank you much❤
Thank you!
Thank you!!!
THANK YOU!!!
Thank you so much
TO THE POINT. thank you
Thank you very much! It's so frustrating to find a fascinating foreign language film, yet you can't
speak that particular language, and no cc's are available! I also like to have them on when watching
those films which have them available, just to save my hearing. Too many (esp. young) people
listen to everything SO loudly that it hurts. They expose babies and pets & other people to that
super-high volume. Listen to them speak: they yell, and their hearing is getting damaged younger
and younger. PLEASE, guys, don't to this to yourselves or others! Preserve your hearing!! It's for
your own sake at least, and you'd be very considerate to others, as well. A WIN-WIN Situation!
Best wishes to all! I'm 71 and have very acute hearing. I hope you will heed my advice and keep
the decibels down, too. You'll be happy you did! LOVE YA!
Thank you :D
You are Awesome!!! Thank you. I downloaded AVACC and it wasn't working. I did your suggestion and Immediate Captions.
You did good!
Thank You🥰
Thank you. I depend on subtitles as my hearing has diminished over the years. Cheers.
amazing you have no idea how much this has helped me thank you so much
I'm so glad! I was getting so frustrated when I was trying to figure it out because accessibility should be a standard. Period. I mean, WE HAVE THE TECHNOLOGY FOR IT! C'monnnnn!
thank you so much
thank you....
These aren't closed captions though like youtube generates. CC have to be able to be turned on and off I think which is required for accessibility.
Can we download this cc too?
Does this feature listen to languages other than English as if they were English? What happens when you have a video in a different language? (I listen to as many as 6 languages on RUclips).
Thank you
how do I get the blue line showing file, edit,...... etc as I cannot find the closed caption that appears in a separate window
How do you find these settings using the mobile chrome app?
tysm, this pc dont have any sounds, i dont use headphones or dinamics and i could not use subtitles, so tysm
u are super lovely thanks
What if the language is not English?!!
With google keyboard on your phone or iPad go to notes and then tap on the microphone it will activate speech to text and when your done you can translate it to any language hopefully this help’s
@@itsnot2785Can the method shown on the above video put subtitles onto a RUclips video that does not have captions. .
@@budekins542unfortunately, no. You'll need to send creator a polite note to enable captions for their channel in the first place. Or get them to clean up the audio so the engine can distinguish spoken words.
THANK YOUUUUUUU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!111
How can you do this for a video that doesn't play from the Chrome browser?
Yay!!! I LOVE CC Since my kids refused to read I refused to allow them to watch TV or movies unless they had the CC on!! at least then they were being exposed to "actual words written with proper spelling and GRAMMAR!! Wouldn't it be awesome if the producers of children's shows would just add that little perk so more kids would be exposed to seeing well-written words (make it so the kids couldn't remove it LOL)
Is it possible in phones? If so how to do it
thank youuuuuuuuu
I am sorry it didn't work with me. I got back to the same video and still saying Subtitles/closed captions unavailable
Same here
thnx
It doesn't work on my phone plzz guide me how can i turn onn captions for unavailable one
My caption setting is on.on Chrome, and I still can't add captions to my video!!😢
Preference option no on ipad chrome settings
But the CC is not working
I would never use google chrome and I want to know how to do this inside the rumble app.
thats really cool. thank you so much Peggy. But do you know, is there a way to access the text file? Download or copy and paste the text? That would be really dope. thank you so much and keep rocking, cheers
Can you make one for iPad users?
Thank you....ow my God thank you
I just discovered yesterday after many years of asking everyone for subtitles. this is a good thing at least . one thing I want to ask you- some youtube have subtitles uploaded, so if I turn off (cross mark in corner) of this live caption, how to bring it back on again without going to setting ?
Ooo good question! Perhaps try refreshing the page?
@@ThePigeonLetters okay. Will check.
skip to 38 seconds to get to the instructions.
Okay, you are assuming that everyone has a computer! My cell phone doesn't offer all that. So how do I do it on my cell phone? And I watch mostly on TV. My tv is not a computer. 🤷🏼♀️ Help! I have a really hard time understanding what is being said and hearing aids won't fix it! My ears don't pick up the beginning and end of words. I Need closed captions! Oh yeah and in English.
well I was surprised - 1 I thought you were going to use the chrome dictation option for talking into a text doc, 2- surprised there is an add on if you will for the browser 3 and the big one it's real close to real time ... OUTSTANDING Find honey ... thanks
Wow, you are my new best friend. At least for today : )
Thumbs up!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
But what if the language is not English?
Then the live captions are not able to translate it
What if the captions cover your page.
I just did this. It does not appear to work on a Zoom meeting that's already in progress. I believe the Zoom meeting host needs to set up CC before starting the meeting.
Ooh that's good to know! Zoom does allow to turn out the captions within a meeting now though (even if you're using the Zoom app), but the setting has to be enabled by the host before the meeting starts
How to translate them
I am deaf. I need closed caption on all channels and services. What do I have to do in order to receive closed caption on all channels? Thank you for your advice if available.
I ask same question she not reply our questionnaire.
can you do it for other language such as french?
I wish but unfortunately, I only speak English haha
Tried it on my cell phone and nada! Did Not Work!!!
You Earned our Subscription Peggy! God bless you more! You are a Saviour next to Jesus The Christ of Nazareth. You are the best. Really works instantly 👌
Can it used on ipad?
Chrome on ipad?
It should work the same, give it a go!
@@ThePigeonLetterspreference option not on ipad chrome
Wish I could do this for also other languages and not only for English to English, sounds stupid that English to English is an only option
I hear ya, it would be amazing if it could actually translate, too
its still not working, or i guess the Irish accent in the video is just too thick
This is great but just be aware that auto captions are not 100% accurate. Average is 65-85%, depending on the quality of the original audio. It's very easy on RUclips to proof and edit the auto captions make sure they are accurate.
That's correct! But it's wonderful that there's an option available for videos that are not on RUclips, wouldn't you say? ☻
@@ThePigeonLetters Definitely! Something is better than nothing as long as people are aware of the limitations. I work with accessibility and so many people think they can just rely on auto captions without proofing, so it's an occupational hazard to warn people!
What about deaf people use sign language it will show closed captions ? It not fair to deaf people though
Thank you 🙏🏼 for that,
But i want to say
You are so beautiful ❤️
Sorry i know this was not good but my heart says that ❤
unbelievable, thank you a lot ❤❤❤🎉, you saved me a lot of time 😢😢, thank you, thank you, thank you,...
Couldn’t follow her because it wasn’t in closed caption
Just click CC to turn the captions on :)
Thank you so much
