And that's why kelvin and destin cast him. They didn't want another swanky, good looking asian male lead. They wanted a person that most Asian can relate to. I'm pretty sure most of us can't relate to Edison Chen or Nicholas Tse or Andy Lau. They will just look good in a few movies but not for long-term marketing.

I need iron fist in the mcu but I don't want the shitty and weak Netflix version, I want a version that will do the comic version justice. In the comics iron fist is the second best martial artist slightly behind Shang chi and that's just on pure skill, that's minus the iron fist ability which is why I want to see him in a movie with Shang chi, two of marvels greatest martial artists sharing the same screen. The Netflix iron fist was such a disappointment. He was pretty much useless without his powers which shouldn't be the case at all.
