My favourite DPR IAN lyric is "So can you stay a little longer 'Cause I don't know who I wanna be So can you stay a little longer Just until I know you see me standing here Sometimes" from Welcome To The Show Im not sure why it's my favourite but it made me really emotional the first time I heard it.
In DID, alters are created unconsciously as a way for the brain to cope with early childhood trauma. Typically, the alters have characteristics deemed desirable to keep one safe. Each alter holds a different memory, role and meaning within the system. These alters can have different ages, gender, names and perceived appearances. So yes the other alters (alternative states of identity) r represented in the MVs. Mr. Insanity typically is presented as colorful, with clown like makeup, light hair and glowing eyes. He seems to be pretty cheerful and childish. He is the main character in the "so I danced" MV and the "bad cold" MV. Mito is the alter who is most often seen in the MVs. He has one eye and wears a ring with the second eye on it. In the songs they use an effect to make his voice deeper than Ians. Whenever theres a black and white scene Mito is the one fronting (the one in control of the body/the one whos conscious). For example Ian said that during the shoot of "so beautiful" he blacked out for a while and came back to many scenes already having been filmed by Mito. Mito seems to take a protective role within their DID system and also seems to be the one aware of most of the memories/trauma (we can assume so based on the storyline shown in the MVs). He also often has black wings and i believe hes the one responsible for some of the religious/angel symbolisms and orchestra musici n the MVs but im not sure if this was confirmed. Mito has made solo music content before. Lastly we have the Hybrid who I honestly know almost nothing about. From what i know he appeared in "saint" with bright blue eyes and the rest of his face and body covered. These alters are obviously influenced by the bipolar disorder but its important to know that manic highs and lows arent = the alters. Since these 2 different disorders mess with each other its really not easy to get a grasp of how much they really affect each other but Ian finds it important that fans understand that these arent made up characters but very much real. Sorry for the endless message lmao. Im not an expert on his storyline but I know at least a bit by now. Hope some of this was news to u and helped💗💗 (Btw the one in green is called "the green" and isnt an alter or anything. They appear to be some sort of sidekick in some of the MVs but I agree with you when you say those characters in pink and the green are most likely visual hallucinations)
@@televisedtheo DON'T EVER APOLOGIZE!!! I was already somewhat aware of what makes up DID and Bipolar but the way that it's shown by Ian through symbolism, you greatly explained to me! It also makes sense that the alter that is the main protector, is the one that's present most in most of his MV's. It's so encouraging to me as someone with BPD, to see someone like Ian be so very transparent and a genius artist when it comes to showing and sharing his experiences.
@@RoyaGirly I agree. He is an artist that helps me cope and feel less alone with my mental health diagnoses. Im so grateful for him. And im happy i could help^^
