Great reaction. Shogun is generally considered their best album but they've improved considerably since then. I'd recommend listening to A Sword Over Damocles; one of their most recent songs to see how they've evolved.
Nah shogun and ascendency are their best albums they definitely haven’t gotten better since then. That being said every album is great besides silence in the snow which is still pretty good but shogun and ascendency are just perfect masterpieces
@@robmart116 I should clarify that I think their improvement came during their last 3 albums which are way better vocally and instrumentally than Shogun and most specifically Ascendancy. But those albums just lack that special something to make them reach the heights of Shogun.
@@user-nd3ks4mi7b as much as I love In the Court of the Dragon the screaming vocals are no where near as good as they are on Shogun, Vengeance Falls, The Sin and the Sentence, and What the Dead Men Say, but Sin and Dead Men have rather weak songs in my opinion that make the albums as a whole not as good as Shogun and Ascendency which don’t have any boring songs. Other Worlds is a skippable song, same with Bleed Into Me and Scattering the Ashes, sure Dying in Your Arms is skippable but the bonus tracks on that album more than make up for it
@@robmart116 I think we may just have different preferences when it comes to screaming vocals. Matt is way too unitelligeble hence the "BOAT! RUDDER!" and " WHO WANTS TO BUY A FRIDGE MOMENTS". He also sounds way too much like Hetfield. While I agree that TSATS and WTDMS had some weak songs the other songs are some of their best work. Hopefully their next album is more Shogun-esque with zero mid songs Like Shogun with Alex Bent drums and better vocals.

I'll put it on the list, thanks!
