      They can top TSATS and when they do, it's gonna be a good day for metal.

      @@bogdanhxc It will at least be as good as TSATS just because of Alex Bent! On TSATS I missed a little bit the technical and heafy riffs and solos but alex safed the album in my opinion with his style! So it became one of my favourite trivium-albums in which I think that without alex it would have been a bit boring.
      I'm excited as hell to hear the new album and I hope the guitarriffs and solos will be a bit more technical and heavy like on shogun!

    I agree that this song sounds like a logical progression of the sound on TSATS, but this so much meatier. I think the robust production helps. The guitars sound very punchy and have a great tone, Alex Bent is killing it behind the kit, and Matt's vocals soar. Like, this song has one of my favorite chorus's since No Way to Heal on Vengeance Falls. If this is the "radio friendly" song of the album, I'm pumped for the rest of it.

    • @bogdanhxc
      @bogdanhxc  4 года назад +8

      I agree. Even though this does soung like a more radio-friendly, softer song, it sounds incredible and builds a lot of excitement around their new album!

    Don't judge me. I don't know much about metal and terms, I Just enjoy the music. Last year I went to a see a Trivium concert alone because my friends don't appreciate and since that I became a fan. Now I'm watching videos reactions to catastrophist to see points of views of "experts", since I am a noob, just to understand how amazing I feel with this music. Thanks for the video.

    This song is a straight up banger. The drums, the vocals. just damn. Yes, there are The Sin and the Sentence Vibes, but also Shogun. Let's frame it like this: it is the best of all worlds.

  • @jepp17
    @jepp17 4 года назад +34

    Silence in the snow featuring the sin and the sentences and a little bit of shogun .. a whole new level of progressive metal i will say ..

    • @karterestill
      @karterestill 4 года назад

      Exactly what I thought. It's perfect. I know people didn't like Silence due to no screaming but the vocal layering, production, and delivery were the best out of any Trivium album. That's what one thing I always though TSATS lacked and I hope this record, judging from this song is like those 2 records combined!

      This is what a good band does - takes everything best from their previous work, adds something new and rolls out another banger of an album!

    "Sin and the sentence" with the composition of "Shogun" and an "In Waves" ending! It's Great! And like you said, great production, everything can be heard, everything is neatly balanced and recognizable. I agree that the solo could be better harmonized but still a great solo, complicated, hard to copy and has a good flow. can't wait for the album to drop. Good analysis on your part, couldn't agree more. Keep up the good work. Have a nice day!!! :)

    I strongly recommend: Be'lakor - smoke of many fires; Gojira - gift of guilt (live at brixton); Behemoth - ora pro nobis lucifer; Mgla -
    Exercises in Futility V (the drum cam)

    What is clearly noticeable from TSATS and after was the great Dynamics of Matt's vocals. And this song showcases that as well, maybe better than before. And of course, the rest of the guys' input on the song is amazing, especially the drums!

    This was a killer single from Trivium. Really enjoy everything about the song, though the first third of it can be a bit repetitive, though that's a nitpick in which is probably one of Trivium's very best singles.

    The bridge after the breakdown felt like they were channeling Soundgarden. Edit: I think I mean Dream Theater. Eh, Heavy stuff more my thing so I’m not the most knowledgeable on somewhat different genres.

    I dont think the solo was meant to stand out in this track, it was very brief for trivium. They'll probably have more technical solos on the rest of the album once its out
