Since we were at a school, we did get the police to deal with the situation and he ended up moving. It’s unfortunate what happened but in order to get out of the vehicle, we had to ask him to move. We hope that he realizes his mistake and never does it again.
Sadly, I doubt it....someone THAT ignorant and is nothing but a bully, will probably never change. You can fix ignorant, you can't fix stupid. Entitled fool. Please, please, please, film this or just record the voice if you can next time. So sorry this happened to you both. Stay strong. And yes, this has happened to me MANY times. Sad, but true.
You two are beautiful young people and it will shake you up when older people misbehave who should be an example. Thank you for sharing and unwinding if you like with us you sound better towards the end.
Roll with Cole & Charisma nooooo not everyone is like that please don’t approach people just report them some people do not care love ❤️ you guys soo much soo pissed right now ! People do not care Advocate and educate in a Safeway do not approach people
You guys have to be careful confronting people. There are crazy people and they will hurt you. Advocate from a safe place. Don't put your safety at risk.
Miss yoli I'm so glad u sed that bec l was afraid l wld sound as if lm v C nd C. They r two of my favorite people nd l do understand their commitment to th rights nd protection of th handicapped but they cannot confront people like that. Sadly sometimes for our own good we hv t sing th song Let it Go.
My take; after he moved for them, they should have left him alone. A black guy was shot dead over a similar issue a year or two ago. It was all over the news.
Absolutely, we totally agree. We had thought being on high school grounds, with students walking around us, would have been a safe place. Obviously, it wasn’t.
Cole, you did defend Charisma! Don’t feel like you didn’t defend your fiancé because you did. People are crazy and I’m glad you said something. Kudos on staying calm. Keep rolling and move on with your life!
Cole getting choked up got me teary eyed. I know how hard men are on themselves about being able to protect your family and the fear that he cant....just hurts me as a women too.
Seeing the pain on Cole's face, speaking about his fear on being unable to protect Charisma make me tear up. You both are strong, and capable. It's unfortunate this jackhole felt entitled to park in the handicapped zone. Keep fighting for what's right.
Can't fix stupid. When somebody's 50, hell, when somebody is 15, they know better. There's a difference between being uneducated and being a stupid asshole. That dude was just being "stupid" by choice. It's a shame that people choose to be that way.
I felt for him. I think men feel miserable when they cant defend their wives. A guy insulted my partner, he didnt say anything but when the guy I insulted me OMG! My partner exploded and I was baffled the way he reacted.
Why get married if you don't have a man who is willing to defend you as his wife or girlfriend. If he doesn't want to do it, then I can do bad by myself.
@@theresag1969 You think Cole is not Willing to defend her ? ? Are you unable or unwilling to understand what he can and cannot do no matter how much he might will it to be different. Sure hope nothing ever happens to you to impair your abilities.
Here is my tip that I have learned. if someone is in a handicapped spot when they are not, take down their license plate and take a picture of them in the spot. You can report it by calling the police. Anytime I have confronted someone they get defensive and say "I was only hear for a second." Unfortunately it's rare to see someone apologize.
As someone with a hidden disability, I honestly prefer this approach, because then I have the chance of maintaining some dignity in the situation. I once parked in a disabled spot at work, on my way to my committee on accessibility meeting, and when I got out of my truck, an employee was waiting there and asked me if I was disabled. Apparently he either didn't see my hangtag, or didn't believe it was for my use. I was so humiliated. I am the assistant director for EHS at my University. I took that job after my disability had caused so much damage that I could no longer physically do the job that I loved. And sitting in my back seat, where he couldn't see them, were my knee and ankle braces, hot hands because I have raynaud's syndrome, and a pair of forearm crutches. In my previous job I personally designed every ADA workspace for a 60K square foot building, and worked with our student accessibility services each and every time we had a student in my building with a physical challenge. After telling him that yes, I was disabled and listening to him awkwardly backpedal, I walked away, into a bathroom, and cried my eyes out.
@@bethg7026 I’m so sorry that happened to you and made you feel so awful. My disability is hidden but not physical; in my efforts to be an ally to friends and colleagues with physical disabilities, I’d like to know the best thing to do in this situation. To avoid putting someone through what you experienced, would them taking down your license plate # and taking a photo been better? I’m just trying to understand better. I should probably ask the other person who commented above, but would calling the cops, be reporting it? Or will it require them to send a squad car? I am opposed to calling police on people since they have have a tendency to use excessive force for minor offenses against members of my community, so I wouldn’t take that approach. What another option?
@@Nrbrown I do understand the fear that many BIPOC and individuals with mental health disorders have about police encounters. I think this is a situation that should be left to the police, both for the witness and the accused. Look at what Cole and Charisma faced when they, who obviously need those spots to be left available, faced. Look at what is happening around the country, with people assaulting and killing others over wearing a mask. You never know if the person you are confronting is going to snap and turn this into a violent situation. If someone is parking illegally in a disabled spot, that person is violating the law. That person should have the police called, so that the police can issue them a ticket, and if need be, tow their car away. And then there is my perspective. I frankly would much rather have a police officer come and see that I'm legally allowed to park there, than to have to justify my right to park in that spot to a stranger who knows nothing about me, and can't understand that some people may look "fine", but we also have situations where we desperately need that spot.
@@bethg7026 Thanks for breaking it down to me Beth. I see, so having the officer come to check is better than an individual asking. Especially when considering that it is violating the law and would be an instance where they should get a ticket from that officer. That makes sense that it would be appropriate to call 911 and let them deal with the situation. Okay, I have a better understanding, thank you for replying back :)
When you notice someone is so angry in that kind of situation, it's better to leave immediatly and not to get in any conversation . It does't matter if you on wheelchair or not. There are lots of sociopath out there . Just leave,it may safe your life.
Yes you never KNOW what type of people or person you are up against. They could appear normal in appearance and then this little altercation with you is the last thing to send them over the phone edge. In the city I live in,which was never known for gun violence is now happening way too much. A lady was leaving THE MALL in a nice part of town and at the light waiting for the light to turn green and someone pulled back into the parking lot back to the lane next to hers and shot n killed her. I didn't follow up but they were sure the lady didn't know who the shooter was. She didn't end up surviving. I saw on Crime Watch a man got mad at the car behind them and stopped his car demanded the people get out n tried to attach them with a knife. He got the woman, she survived. After it was done and the police searched his vehicle they found several weapons with artillery and figures he was actually about to seek out random people to kill and hurt. Granted the female he attacked before her man grabbed his attention got hurt but it stopped a ton more people from getting hurt. My point is you NEVER KNOW WHO you are coming up against no matter if you are in an area you are familiar with a d feel safe at...it's NOT worth it to risk it Yes people need to be educated but that saying you can't lead a horse to water, you can't force someone to be educated especially if they jump from calm to angry that quickly. It's apparent something was going on with their day or life and they chose to take it out on you two Sadly, they probably didn't view you two as a threat so felt comfortable going off but had there been someone they felt like would no no match they probably would have been nicer I find it when I'm with my husband people are nicer than if I'm alone like male wise. Stay safe and God Bless 👍💗💗💗🐢🐢🐢cara
True! As soon as this guy escalated things as quickly as he did we started rolling away. Probably half the interaction was him yelling profanities at us as we were trying to get away. The whole interaction, even though it felt like an eternity, likely was two minutes or less. It just became so heated so quickly it was hard to escape before he went way overboard
My husband is also a quad we run into this all the time with parking. I have carried pepper spray for years. This is my husband's biggest fear that he can't defend himself or me if we're ever in a situation.
Pepper spray would be my suggestion. Also one of those screaming alarms that you carry on your Keychain or purse. Good God we've become insane. I'm sorry for people's behavior toward you.
Yes, be careful because you never know what the individual was thinking about pryor to the incident. Charisma, you and Cole take a self defense class and carry pepper spray everytime you're going to be out. Cole, I'm almost positive there are self defense classes for quadriplegic individuals. Please look into that, it would make you feel better and so would I. If I find something I will send you the link.🏵🌹❤🌺🍭
So my eyes filled with tears when Cole talked about not being able to defend Charisma. 😪 You absolutely did defend her and I was proud that you were able and wanted to "stand up" for her. "You can't argue with fools"❤🙌🏽
*Cole, I see the pain on your face at the thought of not being able to protect Charisma.* *I am so sorry that you both had to experience this level of ignorance.* *But it was not in vain bc you can shine more light on these situations.* *A voice for the voiceless. I am so proud of you both standing up for what’s right!* *My dear friend, who passed away from complications of MS, chastised me about parking in a handicap space years ago at her nursing home.* *She explained to me how wrong that was, and I have never done that again. Rip Robin* ❤️🙏🏾
Bladimir Rojas *she wasn’t happy that I had parked in the handicap space during my visit to see her. So she addressed me about it and told me to never do it again. And I never did. Before MS took away all her mobility she was in a wheelchair for years. So she understood the importance of accessibility that I was clueless about. She educated me to do better!*
“Got on me” means “got upset with me” or “reprimanded me”. It basically just means someone is telling you they are upset with you because of something you did.
I am a Licensed Massage Therapist and one of your videos showed up in my suggestions and I thought it was going to be informative techniques to use when working with someone with a spinal injury. I started watching and quickly realized that was not the case...... i finished that one and continued on because you two are such a precious example that we all could learn from. You are restoring my hope in humanity. Much love and blessings to you!
Well, let’s be honest he can’t, physically anyway. Emotionally, he’s got her. That being said, there are plenty of able bodied folks who would be willing to step in. I for one wouldn’t have stood idly by while someone pulls that type of shit. I mean in a school parking lot really? ?
The man got defensive because he know he was wrong. I have a daughter in a wheelchair and people do it all the time and block the handicap space. Next time just call the Police. We all need to do that if we see someone parking these spaces. Young people stop using your parents or grandparents plackers.
Whenever people are wrong they become utterly defensive and ignorant. He should be ashamed of himself threatening a woman and a quad to do them harm and when confronted lied outrightly by twisting what he said around. Chrisma you acted very mature and so did Cole. Just be careful and continue to agitate for what is right. The car and its licence plate would be proof when you take it to the police. Love you both.
Cole’s such a true man. Love how he’s protective and so loving. Charisma is just so beautiful inside and out. You guys are amazing. Thank you Charisma for acknowledging folks with invisible disabilities as well. I get yelled at and get mean looks all the time when I use my placard. Thank you.
After Charisma asked him politely to move that should have been the end of it. You never know how someone is going to respond and if you're in a vulnerable position and can't protect yourself it makes it that much worse. In tense situations advocate without saying a word. Get a picture of the license plate and car in the space, report it and no one gets hurt.
I absolutely agree. I love these two, but I believe this move put them both in harm's way. They do speaking engagements, that's where they should do their educating. I can almost guarantee you that when people that aren't handicap/disabled, park in those spots they already know it's against the law and they know who those spots are for.
@Dynah Freitas Yes indeed you could be going about your day without a care in the world and in the blink of an eye one small verbal exchange could turn your entire life upside down!
Yes, very dangerous yes the guy was wrong but everything doesn’t need to be addressed. After he moved and gave them the space it’s over with. A better way if you neeeed to address it would’ve been to smile and go “o by the way sir you don’t have your handicap sticker on your car. Be careful cops stroll this parking lot giving out tickets. Those tickets are crazy expensive(smile) (walk away)”
I have a brain tumor and have handicap tags. I outwardly don’t look “handicapped” and have been threatened numerous times by people. It can be scary. Sorry you guys had this happen.
If you have a handicap placard or tag it doesn’t matter if your disability is visible or not. I also have a invisible disability but I have handicap tags on my car. It’s the people who are disabled or say they are and park in these spaces but don’t have a a handicap tag or placard that piss people off
@@christinabreen4098 well I do have a placker a permanent one actually since my disability is permanent but since people can't see it they choose to come up to me anyway. I guess because they feel like they have a disability that people can see like maybe they're in a wheelchair or they use in a walker they come to me because they feel like they deserve the parking space and I don't.
New follower, seeing Cole so upset and hurt because of his fears of not being able to physically protect Charisma breaks my heart. 💔 He loves her so much, it’s so sweet.
Imagine blocking a handicap parking spot not being handicap & then arguing with some who clearly is & needs that space. Then threaten them! WHAT? What kind of douchebaggery is that?
Made me cry a bit. My minor struggles with my 'little one', 25 y.o. with Down Syndrome and broken ankle, wheelchair today, are nothing.... God bless you!
This happens to me. I have a disabled daughter. I drive a wheelchair minivan to transport her. I have received ugly looks, verbal threats, and false accusations while unloading my child from the van. They tell me, "You're not handicapped!" All while I am unloading my daughter, her emergency bag, suction machine, and nurse.
I can almost feel Cole's anger and sense how his limitations at protecting Charisma and himself made him feel! There are people who seek to break the law and are rude. Just be careful.
You all did not do ANYTHING to deserve that. However, one of the first rules of preventing road rage that could have helped in this is “do not engage”. After the aggressor moved his truck and Cole was able to get out, he should not have tried to “educate” him. None of us have ANY idea how crazy the stranger is next to us. I’m sorry this happened to you all. Thanks for still talking to the students and sharing what happened.
Alexi you are right - do not engage. Have to be careful. Glad they are okay because some people are capable of really causing harm when they are in the wrong. They don't care. Shame.
I agree. After he moved his vehicle, you should have gone about your day. It’s not your business if he is handicapped or not. That is for the authorities. He knew he wasn’t supposed to park there. I’m sorry this happened but it could have been avoided. People are crazy out here. I stay in my lane.
The way he reacted to you guys says something about him, not you nor how you approached it. You guys were 100% right, and the other man has other issues.
We are living in sad times, when a grown man thinks his actions were ok, when responding to a simple question. Don't let negativity get you down, you are both doing a good job; at educating us. I have learnt so much from you both, continue doing what you do best love, laugh & educate.
C and C, people know what the disabled parking spots are for. It is a case of trying to get away with whatever... they do it a lot at Walmart.....don't get hurt or lose your lives over trying to "educate" people about something they already know.
This makes me feel like crying. You never know the mental state of those you confront. Be careful. Sometimes it's much safer to report it to the authorities.
Kudos to you both. Cole I love how you handled defending your woman. You both handled this situation very well. And I'm glad the officer saw right through his lies.
Cole, I want to say you are the man, standing up for your woman! Some people are disabled in the head. I guess we have to be careful of those. You did the best, educating and calling enforcement.
When people park in handicapped spaces and their not handicapped, never say anything more to them just call the police. Usually that's a sign of an individual who will more than likely be extremely belligerent and ignorant. So always call the police and video record he would not have tried to do anything trust me, he's a bully and a coward.
Yllwtrose or don’t assume!!! They could be waiting for someone who is disabled and who needs them to be right there not a million miles away or could have just forgot to display their badge. The literal amount of times I’ve had angry idiots bang on the window and yell about how dare I park in that spot when they know NOTHING! Someone parking in the wrong space is not a police issue either, don’t waste their time calling them for a parking violation
Shade Miller no not the dashed area absolutely I agree, I was referring to the comment that they should call the police if they see someone parked in the space. Angry old men with walking sticks often imagine they’re the only ones that might need the space and I’ve almost had my windscreen smashed by them using their stick to knock and tell me I’m not allowed to park there and then swear and shout at me when they’re proven wrong. Not to mention the 100s of invisible disabilities and illnesses that may see a person getting out of the car and walking away from it that doesn’t make them undeserving of the space like so many people think they are. They aren’t just for wheelchair users.
@@theedenadventures that just gives people more reason to call the police. It just makes more sense. A police officer isnt going to start smashing your window or screaming at you, and if the person isn't as well intentioned as your example, then the person questioning their parking decisions wont get assaulted either. Don't address them, call the police. They will investigate and then decide what to do.
Eden Adventures Yes, but they are for people with a license plate or a placard. They said the man didn’t have either, which is why they asked. If someone doesn’t have a plate or placard, they can’t park in the space.
I'm a T4-5 and i use a Permobil M300. I live in an apartment complex in a rough neighborhood. One day last year I was going to my mailbox when a really rough looking young guy spat at me from a balcony. I asked him what his problem was and he told me that I should have been drowned at birth. He said I can't live like other people so I might as well be dead so I could save the Government's money. I am a registered nurse by the way and NOT on a fixed income. I laughed at him and he ran down the stairs and drew back on me, threatening to beat me up. One of my other neighbors ran up to him and knocked him on his arse. It was quite funny. He got an instant lesson about treating people with civility as my neighbor forced him to apologize. LOL!
Wow, so sad that man acted like that and treated you so badly. Im sorry you had to experience such evil. Thank God for your other neighbor who believes in the dignity of every human being and gave that guy a lesson.
That's really inspiring. No matter how beastly the man is, he's no match for a man in a wheelchair with a community solidly behind him. Be strong my brother💪
I can see it in Cole's eyes, he wanted to Jack that Trash Mouth up, For disrespecting his lady !!!!! So glad u guys are ok, there are alot of Evil low lifes out there, Get that pepper spray girl😁🙏💗🤗
I have only been confronted about using a handicap spot when I was a high school student. At this point, I had had about 7 spinal surgeries but I was still ambulatory. A man approached me and said “that’s a handicap spot.” I responded “yes it is :) and I have a handicap placard hung up on my mirror if you look.” He proceeded to follow me down the sidewalk saying “that’s a handicap spot. That’s a handicap spot.” I finally turned around and pulled up my shirt a little to reveal my huge scar. I said “I am disabled! I cannot walk long distances. I park in the handicap spot because I have a disability. “ he finally backed off after that.
Please dont take the wrong way there are to many crazy people out there that wont hesitant to pull out a gun so why approach someone you self leave it to the cops let them handle it
“What am I supposed to do?” Cole said. I just want to say you are boyfriend goals. The fact that your first thought was how can I protect her...put a ring on him Charisma!!
I don't give a hang nail how "hurt" this jerk was (is); his actions were wrong, wrong, wrong. Leave folks alone and get some help. Self-absorbed, old, bitter creature ...
Classic: malignant narcissist. He could be used as a teaching example. They HATE being called out and "proven wrong" never mind how politely it is done. Normal people would move, somewhat sheepishly, especially if the person addressing them is with someone that is visibly disabled. They certainly would not explode, and as they are _rational_ (and feeling somewhat guilty about it), they would hope not to be reported and fined. Narcissism is different than having anger issues, which are not triggered when asked nice and they returned to calm. Also the ease with which he lied. It is one thing to deny that he called her names (he is not going to self implicate in front of the police). It is another thing to claim they insulted him:
This ticks me off! He was going to take advantage of his size and intimidate you. He was a bully. Yes, get pepper spray and Charisma, take up karate and as I tell my students you keep it in your pocket when needed.
You can have full use of your body parts and you still have to use decernment a size does not matter just be careful. That being said, don't you dare feel less than a man. Better a live one than a dead one.
I hate ignorant people like this...smh. I cried when Cole got emotional about his fear of protecting Charisma ☹️😔 I’m one of those with invisible disabilities and even I’ve moved for a person who may have needed a spot more than I do.
I'm in a wheelchair, motorized and have been called the "B" word. Our society has become so volatile, hostile. They stand on the sidewalk ramps as you begin to cross and glare at you ss you say excuse me so you can cross. Pray, pray pray. it is so sad, and I am a Sr. Citizen.
Charisma is a class act! You guys handled it the right way and it's good you guys are addressing this issue because people need to understand what those spots are for.
He moved, you should have left it at that-you NEVER know what people are about-this could have escalated and became something physical quickly. I am so glad your both ok. People are so unpredictable.....its frustrating :( Again, I am so glad your both ok and it did not get taken to a dangerous place.
I got hot SO fast, bc of how upset this made me. I can't imagine how upset this must've made both of you, but especially for Cole. My Uncle is disabled & he's always expressed how situations like this made him feel emasculated as a husband, father, & protector. I get that society makes a man feel that he needs to be the protector, but please know that many of us understand. DON'T feel that way, bc it takes a WEAK person to try to be physical or nasty towards someone disabled & a woman! A STRONGER person turns away just as y'all did.🙌🏽💗💕🙏🏽 *I edit this msg, bc my son corrected me. He's disabled, as well. I used the word "handicapped" in one of my sentences towards the end & he told me the preferred word is "disabled". My most sincere apologies. I typically say "disabled". I think I only used the other word, bc we were talking about parking spaces. I'm so sorry. I thought it was important to correct this & explain why, to help educate others. That way we help each other to be better informed.
I agree I got very very upset as soon as Charisma said what happened that's the problem they have to park there they have no other choice I'm sure there were many more regular parking spots than handicap even if there weren't enough park on the street your in the car put on your hazrads!!!!
@@chitahmarie4191 Right?! It's crazy that this man just went from 0 to 10 in a matter of minutes. It makes you wonder what his life is like or what he's going through, but it's no excuse nor does it give him the right to act like that. It's heartbreaking, bc this is an issue they deal w/a lot & it shouldn't be. It's simple. *Not* handicapped - *Don't* park there. Bottom line. Charisma & Cole have opened a window to what life is like, living disabled. They've helped show our family how to educate others. (My son is disabled, but not physically. He has Asperger's Syndrome.) They make us feel less alone in a world made for abled ppl. So you can't help, but feel protective over them. Especially when you appreciate their efforts to combat closed minds.💖
"I'll punch you both in the face...." .... for educating me and being right? People are craaaaaaazy but you guys did great! So proud on how you handled it correctly. I know being right doesn't feel great in the moment when dealing with stupidity but it is the best way to teach a lesson and hopefully he went home and had a moment of reflection to realize what a jerk he is. We can hope!
I was in line at Walmart to get my oil changed when a young woman who obviously hadn't been here before looked lost. I pointed to the end of the line and she proceeded to go with a very impatient man behind her. She got out of her car and walked toward me as the angry man began to berate her for blocking his way. She was probably maybe 18. I jumped to her defense and asked him "If she had a penis would you have talked to her like that?" He became flustered and quickly walked away. We're supposed to set the example for the younger generation... I hope I was a good one for her.
The first threatening remark, you should have called 911 and at least turn on your voice recorder on your phone. You have no idea if these idiots have a gun or not. Let the police deal with him.
God bless you both. I’m elderly, use a walker and use oxygen 24/7 and it’s so disrespectful and disheartening when someone illegally parks in a handicap space. Charisma, I give you my utmost respect for loving and caring for Cole. While the loving may come easy, being a full time caregiver isn’t so much. It’s hard at times and can take a toll on you so please take care of yourself as much as you can. I had the honor of being my Dad’s sole caregiver for 17 years until his death at age 92. It’s clear the two of you have love and respect for each other. That in itself is so refreshing to see.
Woooo, Charisma! I understand your tears. You did the right thing taking the high road; I know it was TOUGH!!! Believe me, your dignity shamed him. God is good all the time.
It's so disappointing that people really do not understand that drivers who do not have a disability use the handicap parking spots. It's so frustrating.
Cole, I can understand your feelings about protecting. But remember even big powerful men get shot because of all the weapons about. So it is no reflection on you brother
Just be careful who you approach people can be crazy. I would have sat there and call the police and have them approached him first. We love you guys and want you to be safe. Love from millions of us ❤️♥️♥️♥️
Cole, you did defend Charisma. You spoke up and let him know his behavior was not ok. There's a lot of more physically able men who would have remained silent, but you spoke up. Much respect.
You guys are lovely!!! Truly!! I’m a paraplegic myself, and can relate so much to some of the things you guys struggle with. (In fact, my injury happened the same year as cole’s...tho I was much older. 😂😂) keep advocating! You’re incredible humans!!
Hello, @ Sarah... Greetings from Chicago. We hope that you’re treated with the dignity and kindness that you deserve. Have a great day. (Fyi...We’re watching puppy videos during quarantine-smile)
Thank you for continuing to bring awareness about handicapped parking spots. Some people will never get it until they or their loved ones are in the same situation.
I wish I had a male version of Charisma in my life❤😢. Just became bedbound with copd and chf. Anyone reading this....if you smoke, PLEASE stop!.I wish I was as strong as you, Cole. Sending love to you both❤
I'm sure ive commented on this video already...just wanted to also say..a real man defends his woman the way you did Cole. The smart way with long term effects. You stuck up for her without getting you both in danger and then used the authorities to clean up the garbage left behind. You where right on the money with it Cole. Good man. If it were me I would have handled it poorly. You taught me something. THANK YOU.
People who park in Handicapped spots know EXACTLY what they're doing - they have no respect. You did the right thing in getting an officer involved, You know you acted appropriately, the other fella was an idiot.
Next time, whip out that camera and start the video...and don’t forget to video their car tag number to give to the police. Glad you are safe. Time for some fun now. 🤗
As Cole and Charisma said there are disabilities that "you can't see" my husband has MS as we were walking through a store one day a very rude lady made a snarky comment " it's pretty early in the morning to be drunk" some days he has not so good balance. This was very frustrating and ignorant. I chose to not say anything about it but till this day my husband refuses to go out if he is having a rough day which now limits him. Please choose your words and be kind you never know what someone is dealing with. I am sorry that you guys had to deal with this. But as a famous comedian says "you can't fix stupid"
Please be careful and watch who you approach, it's best to always drive around for security help instead of taking orders in your own hands . Once he moved I would have went inside an reported it .
God Bless and Protect you as you continue on your journey of a wonderful life together! Be safe and wise! The great I am! Will keep you both. Trust and know that no matter what. Its Friday get back excited about the rest of your day. Don't let him steal your joy! Merci beaucoup
Sounds like a perp smh. You both are so awesome. You both have each other’s back. A much needed gift in this world! May The Most High continue to bless you both. I’m learning ✌🏾❤️
I’m sorry- the wrong thing to do is try to educate people when they are breaking the law. Unfortunately- not everybody will take it as if you’re being nice and informing them, they will take it as an insult. He could’ve been high, on drugs, drunk. Not safe;( Best thing to do next time is call the police. Being that Cole is not in a position to protect himself, that should be more of a reason why you guys call for help rather than take matters into your own hands. God bless you guys and don’t let that fool get you down! Xo
I'm sorry this happened - but never try to "educate". You should have left the situation alone when he moved or contacted law enforcement if you wanted him "educated".
Damn, Cole was pissed. I know someone coming at your fiance and you being in a compromised position can be overwhelming. But you did defend her. In situations like this, dealing with irrational individuals it is best to just keep it moving. Rather than acknowledging he was in the wrong, he lashed out. But you do have to have something to defend yourself with and your rights. God bless you both. The Lord will protect you from harm. You are doing a great work, you are a great team. Stay positive! Much love and respect sent your way.
I agree people are crazy these days. When Cole got out he shouldn’t have asked him anything. I’m so glad they didn’t get hurt! Only God Knows what this person had in their car,
@Keltie he do need to educate people, police never went to school to learn about disability people not only them the whole world needs to be educate so hush and let him educate someone because it's his disability not yours
He was clearly a racist. Outdating thinking about interracial relationships. Pissed me off that he would even come after you both. He will be repaid by karma. I just started following you guys and I so love the love and dedication between you both. You inspire me to remain positive in life. Sending love and light your way. 😇💕
Yes it must be addressed, so sorry that they are so many uneducated and uninformed people out there that want to stay that way. Continue to share the joys and word, we appreciate you and will continue to share as well.
I’m so sorry this happened to you! I have a disability placard for my son who has level 3 Autism, and every single day without fail, when I go to pick him up from school, there is a gentleman who parks in the handicap spot who is not disabled. I’ve asked him to move twice in the past, and he told me he’s 66 years old and doesn’t have to do a darn thing I ask him. I’ve complained to the school about it and still nothing has been done. It’s extremely frustrating so I definitely feel for you guys!
First of all it’s my comment! Like I said you’re bored! And you’re exactly correct, this is social media, so wtf are you so mad and pressed that this as$hole parked in a handicapped space, then tried to play tough guy with a woman and a man who obviously can’t defeat himself 🤔
Marisol white In NY they also have buses that can take pictures of your license plate if you’re in the bus lane. Then they mail a ticket to you. Even if you were in the lane only for a short while. You can only be in a bus lane to turn.
Since we were at a school, we did get the police to deal with the situation and he ended up moving. It’s unfortunate what happened but in order to get out of the vehicle, we had to ask him to move. We hope that he realizes his mistake and never does it again.
Sounds like a big, bad, bully.....don't lose y'all JOY.
P.s., you both look stunning today....even with your red nose Cole !
DRAMA QUEEN OMG
Cole getting choked up got me teary eyed. I know how hard men are on themselves about being able to protect your family and the fear that he cant....just hurts me as a women too.
Real big man, threatening a woman and a quadriplegic. His mother must be so proud.
well said!!

Seeing the pain on Cole's face, speaking about his fear on being unable to protect Charisma make me tear up. You both are strong, and capable. It's unfortunate this jackhole felt entitled to park in the handicapped zone.
Keep fighting for what's right.

FACTS!
Can't fix stupid. When somebody's 50, hell, when somebody is 15, they know better. There's a difference between being uneducated and being a stupid asshole. That dude was just being "stupid" by choice. It's a shame that people choose to be that way.

Truth
When Cole started to talk about his fear for defending Charisma, I got emotional. ❤️
I did too. It is just so real. The world is in a state of distress!
@@theresag1969 I dont think I understand this reply. Do u have right to question who she gets married to? Shes happy and that's what matter to us.
@@bethg7026 ❤
You don’t deal with people like that, you call for the police! Get license plate number in case he leaves! You can’t fix ignorance!

Right. U din't say anything just call authority. Dangerous.
My point is you NEVER KNOW WHO you are coming up against no matter if you are in an area you are familiar with a d feel safe at...it's NOT worth it to risk it
Yes people need to be educated but that saying you can't lead a horse to water, you can't force someone to be educated especially if they jump from calm to angry that quickly. It's apparent something was going on with their day or life and they chose to take it out on you two
Sadly, they probably didn't view you two as a threat so felt comfortable going off but had there been someone they felt like would no no match they probably would have been nicer

True! As soon as this guy escalated things as quickly as he did we started rolling away. Probably half the interaction was him yelling profanities at us as we were trying to get away. I agree. Sometimes you need to just walk away.
My husband is also a quad we run into this all the time with parking. I have carried pepper spray for years. This is my husband's biggest fear that he can't defend himself or me if we're ever in a situation.

“Got on me” means “got upset with me” or “reprimanded me”. It basically just means someone is telling you they are upset with you because of something you did.
Bladimir Rojas...it means the friend told her she was upset for something she did. It’s like when someone confronts or reprimands you.

MsDilwitit Yeah that's what I'm thinking.
100% agree
I have a brain tumor and have handicap tags. I outwardly don’t look “handicapped” and have been threatened numerous times by people. It can be scary. Sorry you guys had this happen.
I also have a disability that you can't see. And I've been approached as well. But I will pray for you Natalie.

Anyone here use a handicap parking space?
When people say, "you have no proof" that's the proof. I hope you'll never have another experience like this

@@theedenadventures then there will be a pass or something in the car or the plate I assume. No excuse to park in the dashed area though.

I responded “yes it is :) and I have a handicap placard hung up on my mirror if you look.” He proceeded to follow me down the sidewalk saying “that’s a handicap spot. I park in the handicap spot because I have a disability. “ he finally backed off after that.

I totally agree
I could see his pain and frustration.

I hate ignorant people like this...smh. I cried when Cole got emotional about his fear of protecting Charisma ☹️😔
I’m one of those with invisible disabilities and even I’ve moved for a person who may have needed a spot more than I do.
If he was at a school, he was most likely waiting for a child. Imagine how he probably is at home. :(
I'm in a wheelchair, motorized and have been called the "B" word. Our society has become so volatile, hostile. They stand on the sidewalk ramps as you begin to cross and glare at you ss you say excuse me so you can cross. Pray, pray pray. it is so sad, and I am a Sr. Citizen.
I'm sorry to hear u have to go through that.
I'm sorry that happened to you.
The evil out here is frightening and appalling I'm very sorry that happened to you.
Ignorant people are everywhere, I’m so glad that you guys didn’t get hurt.
Charisma is a class act! You guys handled it the right way and it's good you guys are addressing this issue because people need to understand what those spots are for.
The minute this man threatened you, call 911. Period.
Remember. .. he will answer for all his transgressions. ..GOD BLESS
A STRONGER person turns away just as y'all did.🙌🏽💗💕🙏🏽
*I edit this msg, bc my son corrected me.
I have to get my fiance together for yelling at kids on the interstate for driving slow. It's a NEW driver, you have to be patient.
Thank you!
The first threatening remark, you should have called 911 and at least turn on your voice recorder on your phone. You have no idea if these idiots have a gun or not. Let the police deal with him.
Yes sure
Sending love to you two. I hope that guy gets the help he obviously needs. Anger can be managed, and that's his job. Glad you two are safe. Hugs.
You two ARE mature and did well thinking on the fly in a crazy situation. Excellent video, spreading awareness about this issue. 👍
It's so disappointing that people really do not understand that drivers who do not have a disability use the handicap parking spots. It's so frustrating.
They understand, they find care!
It’s frustrating that they’re not okay with non-handicapped people using a handicapped spot?
Cole, I can understand your feelings about protecting. But remember even big powerful men get shot because of all the weapons about.
So it is no reflection on you brother
"Stupid is as stupid does!" Shame on him! You guys are awesome! Don't let him or anyone else dull your shine.
I'm glad y'all are safe, sending love and positive vibes your way
Just be careful who you approach people can be crazy.
I cried watching this because i have an invisible disability and people use the spaces wrecklessly.
My Flower sorry to hear that
You guys are lovely!!! Truly!! I’m a paraplegic myself, and can relate so much to some of the things you guys struggle with. (In fact, my injury happened the same year as cole’s...tho I was much older. 😂😂) keep advocating! You’re incredible humans!!
Hello, @ Sarah... Greetings from Chicago. We hope that you’re treated with the dignity and kindness that you deserve. Have a great day. (Fyi...We’re watching puppy videos during quarantine-smile)
Yes!! Puppy videos are essential for ones sanity!! Also, ocean life videos. My new “zen hack” 😉
Thank you for continuing to bring awareness about handicapped parking spots. Some people will never get it until they or their loved ones are in the same situation.
Glad that you both are ultimately safe.
@T Watson agree but go live so if anything crazy happen it will be captured.
Might have made him get more aggressive
@@alisonlowe1002 Yep
As Cole and Charisma said there are disabilities that "you can't see" my husband has MS as we were walking through a store one day a very rude lady made a snarky comment " it's pretty early in the morning to be drunk" some days he has not so good balance. This was very frustrating and ignorant. I chose to not say anything about it but till this day my husband refuses to go out if he is having a rough day which now limits him. Please choose your words and be kind you never know what someone is dealing with. I am sorry that you guys had to deal with this. But as a famous comedian says "you can't fix stupid"
There are good poeple out there go on a trail.
Its
Friday get back excited about the rest of your day.
Don't let him steal your joy!
Merci beaucoup
I am so happy.that you guys are ok I love my Cole an charisma.
You should have left the situation alone when he moved or contacted law enforcement if you wanted him "educated".
true that.
do you leave the rest be
Damn, Cole was pissed.
Only God Knows what this person had in their car,
@Keltie he do need to educate people, police never went to school to learn about disability people not only them the whole world needs to be educate so hush and let him educate someone because it's his disability not yours
faye Edwards Safety first over anything. Educating someone is not worth possibly being attacked or losing your life.
Reckell Small please watch 8 videos of Jim Nduruchi
Cole and Charisma thank you for speaking out. Public awareness and education is so important. I appreciate you sharing this video.
You guys should’ve just called the police, stayed in the car and laughed when he got that big ticket! Lol
He was parked in a handicapped space! He would’ve got a big ticket! You should mind your own business right now but you aren’t!
Why you’re minding business that doesn’t pay your bills! Sour apple bitter biscuit head person!
First of all it’s my comment! Like I said you’re bored! And you’re exactly correct, this is social media, so wtf are you so mad and pressed that this as$hole parked in a handicapped space, then tried to play tough guy with a woman and a man who obviously can’t defeat himself 🤔
Marisol white Ha! I wish it was like that but it’s not. I got a ticket while in a car. The lady was so slick I didn’t even see her. I was pissed.
Marisol white In NY they also have buses that can take pictures of your license plate if you’re in the bus lane. Then they mail a ticket to you. Even if you were in the lane only for a short while. You can only be in a bus lane to turn.
