    Really lovely. When you haven't heard a certain, old chestnut for a long time, you can better appreciate why it became an old chestnut originally! Freire can play so lyrically, too.

      Yes, I tried to look for other interesting works for solo piano by Rubinstein, but was surprised not to find much. Maybe I did not look hard enough though...

      @@pianoandsheets5607 The fourth piano concerto and the Ètudes Op. 23 are Anton Rubinstein’s other works that I consider great! Most of his output fell into neglect because he often rushed his compositional process. When Rubinstein did well though, he really did do well!
