MADEIRA, PORTUGAL - Nothing says local Madeira food more than espetada, a spectacular giant BBQ meat skewer, which a popular all over the island. This is one of the best restaurants in Funchal offering an authentic and unique food experience. You have to eat here when you visit Madeira.
What is espetada?
Espetada is a local dish made from is cubes of beef seasoned with garlic, salt and bay leaf, placed on skewers and cooked over a wood or charcoal fire and the special part about this restaurant is that you get to cook it yourself over the wood fire.
That's right you get to cook your very own Madeiran BBQ at this restaurant.
There are Churrascarias all over Madeira island, I am not going to try and tell you which is the best Churrascaria in Madeira. But I will tell you that you need to eat at this one.

It was the first time I ever tried sangria & it was so amazing & truly complemented my choice of espetadas (chicken wings & beef)!
The quality of food was second to none & the prices definitely modest to say the least!

Hi Joe. We are going back to Madeira in two weeks and again in October. Last visited pre-COVID in 2019. Your videos are a breath of fresh air. Informative, relaxed and entertaining. Can't understand why you haven't got more subs as your vlogs are superb. Going to try Bela 5 and the fish and tomato soup although I've got to be careful as I recently got diagnosed with diabetes.
Hi Graham, awesome to hear that you are heading back to Madeira and have a couple of trips planned. October is also a great time to visit as it cools down in the UK, it is nice to get some warmth. You are very kind about the subs, I am very new and it takes time I guess, I'm very happy to hear that you enjoy the videos. They are still a bit amateur as I am learning a lot and still have so much more to learnt but that will come. Maybe careful with the tomato soup, but you will be totally fine with the fish, give them a shout that you saw they video, they love it there. If you want a few more recommendations which I haven't filmed, drop me a message on Instagram or something and I will share them.

This video is a repost of a video I had posted previously. The original found its way onto a scam site and was causing lots of issues, but it is a really fun restaurant in Funchal, so I wanted to get it back out there.

It's a fun restaurant to visit. The quality of meat is good and price is great compared to other places.

Sorry to hear that. There are low down people out there. Love your travel stuff, we did Mad Market kitchen last year. The cod cheeks in garlic with small potatoes are worth a try. 👍
@@Eflattery1 Oh there many of those once you start to put yourself out there on internet, usually it is just a delete and block, no need to waste energy on a response. MadMarket is a great little restaurant. But if you really love fish and fancy a nice meal, try Akua in Funchal, it is stunning.

Im from Madeira and i can tell you none of us from the island would EVER let the meat juice go to waist. It made me laught seeing you dipp the bolo do caco as a local would.😂
