Iga already has the same number of slams as maria and will likely surpass her number since she is not a social media obsessed person, the only reason maria wasn't affected was because there was no social media when she was playing in her teens and early twenties making it easier to focus on tennis, times were different then. Naomi had mental health issues because she couldn't handle the pressure at that time and unfortunately lost early again in Wimbledon.

Maria was a great player, and a true star that could manage all additional activities.
However, I always feel in her interviews she holds up a facade and you never get to see the real Maria. She wants to keep that perfect, polished image, and that's what helped her in the first place to become a star, but you never get to see true vulnerability or any outgoing Quality, everything is very measured. It's a shame that even after her tennis career she doesn't seem to have let that go.

I wish Sabalenka was not injured and Sharapova was amongst the spectators.
Imagine prime Sharapova playing against prime Sabalenka ? I am inclined to believe both female gladiators would make all the men's matches lame in comparison. 😉

Was never much of a fan, especially given her penchant for screaming on the court (Screamapova was one of the first and the worst), and her suspension for illegal heart medication or whatever it was. But regardles, time heals and she looks and sounds great. I wish her nothing but success and happiness in the future . . .
