I rather have a disc drive console because a lot of games get delisted digitally so I buy xbox 360 games physically. I like to have both options i’m enjoying xbox 360 forza horizon I got it on amazon for $40 used mint condition no scratches plays brand new which was really surprising side note i’ll never buy an all digital console don’t limit yourself.🥂✌🏾😎
If you had any console prior to the Xbox one, get the drive because they allow you to play games from previous generations (something PlayStation is choking on) because if I upgrade my console, I have to buy every single game again at full price... Just for a digital "license" which means to own nothing. Nothing in the least because they can cancel that license without cause, meaning just because they felt like it. They can't cancel CD's without first invalidating every license ever issued to the CD's. If you don't have any Xbox games nor intend to guy older generation CD's at GameStop before they go bankrupt, go digital. Thats the sole reason to go digital is when you already have digital games (Xbox only) or intend to buy sole digital licenses.

Wish it did have a disc drive. I have to many DVDs, Blu-ray’s, 4K Blu-ray’s and, of course, Xbox games on disc to bother getting a machine without a disc drive. Looks really good though!
With the disk drive I can play forza horizon 1,2 and 3. Just picked them up, without the disk it would have been absolutely impossible to get them. Quick resume still works even if with the disk, I own digital games as well and currently forza horizon 1 has been living in the drive for 2 weeks, no issues so far. Also, quick resume works also when you wake/start up the console, so it is still extremely useful. I highly prefer having a disk drive and not using it rather than not having it at all. Not to mention the discounted prices of used games or even new sealed games. I’ve paid $18 for starfield, $18 for diablo iv, same for forza motorsport 7…. And all these as flash sales at a local big store. Without the disk drive, good luck to you. Discounts exist in the ms store, but not as often as dedicated physical stores. Ah, not to mention that I can sell a disk game after if I get bored of it and want to recup some of the cost

you dont need to do that, cleaning your console is super easy or if u cant do it yourself you can bring it to a shop. Its just dust buildup over time that creates heating problems, a clean fixes it instantly so it'd be a shame if you get a new one

No. The entire point of this console is to try to get people away from purchasing physical games that way you never own any of them. That means you can't trade a game, you can't sell your game to a friend for half cost or for free. You can't just borrow a game from a friend and play it. Its not worth buying in my opinion. Its worth paying an extra 50$ to get the disk version. If this digital version had 2tb of space then it would be worth the price, but for only 50$ price difference just get the disk series x.

This video is unnecessary. The only difference is no disc drive but the same specs. They should have done this in the first place at the launch like PS5 did. XSS is the dumb idea they came up with and not only that XSS holding XSX back since many game developers have some issues with XSS which is why you haven't seen Wukong on Xbox yet. The same issues they had with Baldur's Gate 3 and the other games.
Its actually PS thats holding games back as there are still a large number of the player base that still game on PS4 which is why they still insist on making cross gen games. Also the Series S has nothing to do with Black Myth not being released yet, Sony paid for exclusivity. Plus it released in an unfit state so taking more time will hopefully mean its better optimised when it finally releases
Xbox series X digital also have smaller processor chip and better cooling system than regular xbox series X...same goes to Xbox series X sprinkle dust 2TB

@@andrewmoore7927 Pretty sure you do if they can be installed without connecting to the internet. I got Jedi Survivor PS4 version to play on my PS5. Installed FULLY without connecting to the internet and the saves from the updated version still worked. I don't have the time to test all my PS4, PS5 and Switch physical releases but I'm sure I actually own them and won't run into "The Crew" problem with any of the games I own. The only physical game I own that I know won't work in the future is Destiny 1 on PS4. Will never buy a game that is online only again physically.

@@Will_Acu08All of the internals are exactly the same between all of the series X consoles now going forward. The literal only difference is that this one doesn't have a disc drive. So there isn't really any feasibile way they could have made this one smaller unless they made it L shaped.

This video is unnecessary. The only difference is no disc drive but the same specs. They should have done this in the first place at the launch like PS5 did. XSS is the dumb idea they came up with and not only that XSS holding XSX back since many game developers have some issues with XSS which is why you haven't seen Wukong on Xbox yet. The same issues they had with Baldur's Gate 3 and the other games.
Its actually PS thats holding games back as there are still a large number of the player base that still game on PS4 which is why they still insist on making cross gen games. Also the Series S has nothing to do with Black Myth not being released yet, Sony paid for exclusivity. Plus it released in an unfit state so taking more time will hopefully mean its better optimised when it finally releases

Xbox series X digital also have smaller processor chip and better cooling system than regular xbox series X...same goes to Xbox series X sprinkle dust 2TB
And how does that benefit you , that only makes it cheaper for Microsoft to produce yet they still charging you the same.....also the cooling system isnt better it's worse it's just that the chip is more efficient so doesn't need as much cooling (check your facts )

@@andrewmoore7927 Pretty sure you do if they can be installed without connecting to the internet. I got Jedi Survivor PS4 version to play on my PS5. Installed FULLY without connecting to the internet and the saves from the updated version still worked. I don't have the time to test all my PS4, PS5 and Switch physical releases but I'm sure I actually own them and won't run into "The Crew" problem with any of the games I own. The only physical game I own that I know won't work in the future is Destiny 1 on PS4. Will never buy a game that is online only again physically.
@@andrewmoore7927 Pretty sure every PS4/PS5 and Switch physical game I own will still work in the future. I sold my PS5 version of Jedi Survivor to get the PS4 version as it is complete on disc. The only game that I know I don't own and will not work in the future is Destiny 1 on PS4.

@@Will_Acu08All of the internals are exactly the same between all of the series X consoles now going forward. The literal only difference is that this one doesn't have a disc drive. So there isn't really any feasibile way they could have made this one smaller unless they made it L shaped.
@@brandontyler1754 One would guess that the disc drive obviously takes up some room, It's just looks so weird such a big console and no disc drive.
@@Will_Acu08 the disk drive does but if you watch the Austin Evans video you would understand. The disc drive takes up a small part of the top left of the console. If they made it smaller it would no longer be a perfect rectangle

Theres so much more to gamepass than just that , like how it takes away the consumer influence and power of vote with your wallet , it's the fact that it gives all control over to Xbox execs and takes the consumer out of the equation
