People forget that it will run on same battery with IBIS.. good luck with that. Also made in China.

I agree. I've had the V less than a year and haven't maxed out on enjoying it to the point I feel I need it to be improved. It will be interesting to see what the response in the first 6 months to a year will be. Thanks for sharing your perspective.

I am not conflicted about the 40MP sensor.
Yes, the files will almost double. Not good. I primarily use the 35 and 50mm focal lengths. Sometimes 85mm. I want the additional MPs so I can comfortably crop to my desired focal lengths. I am willing to accept the larger file size. YMMV. Fuji will never give us a lens with variable focal lengths.
I want IBIS. It helps with my using slower shutter speeds. The IBIS will allow this body, though not designed for it, to do video. I suppose the will not be an audio in jac. I also suppose the mics won’t be very good too. Video is clearly an add on. Many X100VI users, I bet, would be just as happy not having the ability to do video with this body.
I have heard on several rumor videos that the body dimensions will essentially be the same as the X100V. If that is true then we aren’t getting a new battery.
Limited editions? My hope is a B&W model. Will it happen? Probably not.
My prediction is the price of the X100V is going to tank. Sub $1399? Certainly. $999? Who knows what the market will bear.

I am still loving my x100F. The VI will have to be fabulous to make me purchase but no matter what I will not sell my F. ;)

It seems to me that every x100 cameras is loved by those that use it. Maybe they can continue to improve perfection!? Thanks for the comment.

You are right in what you said - 'you are crazy in what you have said!' Time has moved on and the larger sensor and image stabilisation goes with this - much requested by photographers. Leica Q3 is a much adored camera, and if Fuji get close to what that camera offers then this camera will be a crowd pleaser! It's called progress. More simplicity in camera controls would be a good direction to go in - aswell as camera availability!

IBIS is vital nowadays I suspect. Nobody likes tripods but we might like shooting at night at 1/2 second hand held? A lot of us would like to. If 40 MP, all the more reason for IBIS. The Ricoh has IBIS and is smaller. How does that work?
And proper weather sealing rather than provisional weather sealing.
Different versions with different focal lengths like the Ricohs

Gonna keep my X100V. No need for 40mp, neither IBIS.

honestly im not too hot about the 40 mp. Not a fan of big file sizes. The extra megapixels will also give a feeling of over sharpness which I'm not a fan of. The IBIS however is what is gonna make me buy this

Bigger, more powerfully, battery might be helpful .. not bothered about 40 M/Pixels at all .

I think the biggest feature of the X100VI is going to be availability.

IBIS is better than no IBIS, so right there it won't be a crystal skull camera. Also, I expect it'll have pixel shift, hopefully the resulting extra high res picture will be created in-camera, as opposed to later on a computer.
To me, a 40 megapixel sensor is a nice improvement. So I'm very much looking forward to seeing this camera in real life.

The upgrade that made me buy into the X100V was the new lens and the weather sealing. I guess IS would be useful but it's a 35mm equivalent lens, so a 1/30th sec rule applies perfectly fine.
Only ONE thing would make me upgrade .... Full-Frame.

Love all the upgrades. Just don’t like the rumor that they are going to be made in china. That’s going to keep me away.

Agree that I’m not sure this camera needs either a 40mp sensor or stabilization. They could however copy the Nikon Zf in terms of design choices.

It's feeling too cluttered with too many bells and whistles. Fuji should take some lessons from Leica and simplify. I'm okay with a non articulating screen. I don't need 40 Mp. I don't need more ND filters. I don't need IBIS. I would like lower base ISO. How about a second card slot or on board 1TB ssd storage? How about an all titanium body or brass body? How about in-body weather proofing for once and for all?

Thanks for the comment! Love the idea of simplifying as I don't even use all that it will do for my work.
