Why is Mary Fahl not the most popular singer of today? She blows the competition out of the water.
Marko Petkov Because she doesn't bow to the commercialism leeches and does what she wants. With a golden voice like that, who will not listen. Simply an Angels voice, no other way to describe it.
The masses like to be spoonfed and they will accept sugary poop.
I gives me chills every time. What a unique and incredible voice. I am honored. Humbled. In awe.
I agree - what a great voice!
Haunting!
I am just reading your Wolves of Midwinter, the Christmass Eve scene with Exiles playing in the background. It becomes more than just cinematic, the whole experience becomes alive. This song and the book goes so well hand in hand! Both wonder in it's own right.
She has wild eyes, a deep beautiful supernatural voice, certainly very atractive with her blond hair and pale skin. She reminds me of Gabrielle.
What do you think *****? Does she looks in your mind as Lestat's mother?
I love❤️ this song. Exile blends perfectly to the second book. I was just wondering when are you going to release the third book of the Wolf Gift series? +Anne Rice
Mary Fahl sings with more passion than any other female singer I've ever seen. Its like she's living the song. Her voice is matched by her beauty. A real treasure.
It's a magnificent song. I'm honored.
Came here via your Facebook post. This song is beautiful!
not many singers can teleport you...the imagination
Listat same!
So, so so so so so so underrated. My favorite female singer.
This has to be the best female singer I have ever heard, what a fabulous voice, beautiful..
Her voice sounds like what love feels like...deep, complex, full of major notes and saturated with minor tones, rich, full, all encompassing. She's one of the few amazing singers that her one voice sounds like a thousand souls from before time began. I listen to her and just want to wrap up in her voice like a long, warm hug from someone I love. Have you ever seen dawn from a mountaintop and watched the morning light dance over the mist and it strikes you as so beautiful that you're simply in awe...well, that's Mary's voice.
I love how you say that! :)))
It's perfect!! 😅
Wow. Where to even start. First, wipe the tears from your eyes. Second, deep breath. Third, what a loss for October Project that she is no longer the lead singer there. I'm sure their new lead singer is wonderful, but ain't no one Mary Fahl except Mary Fahl. There is something other-worldly about her voice that defies mortal and physical definition. Off to grab another Kleenex and finish listening to this song...
She has an amazing voice.
What a special song! I listen, close my eyes, and start moving to the rhythm. I hear the words, and suddenly I'm a wolf, running through the snow, shoulder to shoulder with my mate. I feel the wild abandon, the pulsing of my blood, the exhilaration of the chase. For a few short moments, I am closer to Earth and Mother Nature than I've ever been. I have never felt transfigured by a song before. It's an eerie experience. How powerful, how compelling, how magnificent!
I love her voice
Off all the voices Mary Fahl brings peace to my dark soul, the best voice i have ever heard
Her voice in this!!! God Almighty!!! AMAZING!!!
I just heard this at the end of Wolves of Midwinter, and she looks a lot like how I imagined Laura in the book! It's perfect! Love the song ❤️
She looks so much better with her natural hair color. I must add this song is beautiful, and of course Mary Fahl is amazing!
There is something so provocative about her voice. It never fails to carry me to a very deep and forgotten place. This song is soooo perfect for her.
It is a blessing to be alive in this generation enjoying the sublime artistry of Mary Fahl.
What a voice! Wow!👍👍👍
Mary Fahl and Toni Childs have voices like No other singers. I love those women, those voices and their passion for making the music they do !!! Thank You ladies !
Yeah, I like Toni Childs too. Where the hell is she these days? I miss October Project.
I have absolutely fallen in love with her. I love the contemporary Celtic sound she has. Something about her voice has warmed my heart to the core. Beautiful.
What a beautiful testament - nice
Just found this and OH! was it worth the find!!!!!
I have been a Mary Fahl fan since I first heard her with October Project in 1993. Watching this video it is hard to believe that she is 58. Timeless beauty in many ways.
Chills. In a most excellent way. This song, her voice, the melodies, stirs something primordial in me.
I am really glad to see the views going up in this channel. Mary is going up up up!
THERE IS NO VOICE MORE SATISFYING 😎
Voz maravilhosa! Inigualável!❤
Beautiful and haunting all at the same time. My God this song really gets into the blood, doesnt it.
Anne Rice's Wolves of Midwinter brought me here. I love this.
Great voice and song from an underrated singer.
If talent were a force of nature, Mary Fahl would be a tsunami. Just amazing.
Off topic but Mary Fahl looks a lot like how I imagine Gabrielle de Lioncourt from Anne Rice's Vampire Chronicles.
Gorgeous voice, and equally gorgeous song. It has an etheral quality that gives me chills. Excellent work!
One of my favorite songs by you. It's lovely and Haunting.
OMG. I'm in love with this woman and this song. Chills.
Such an AMAZING voice and such an enchanting and mystical song. It is a perfect paring for Anne Rice's Wolves of Midwinter.
Linda!!!! 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
¡Hermosa voz! Amo a October Project y Mary Fahl. Saludos desde Colombia.
I love you... Mary Fahl...
Exerytime I encounter her voice I drop everything and come to attention.....yup....

The creatures fear Mary's powerful voice!!!
I'm pretty sure I've listened to this track a million times since it came out
Absolutely haunting and glorious
This song was included on an audiobook of Anne Rice's novel!
2:04 gives me chills!! I swear!!
Great collaboration by two great musicians inspired by one great writer!
Awesome!
Grandiosa.
After getting to hear Mary and John preform this song live I was just blown away, you almost expected to hear wolf calls from the dark! The studio version is nicely polished! I love the strings!!! Being a fan of O.P. from the early days I just found an old memory I thought I had lost, I'm moving out of PA and going through my life that's in boxes I found an old post card signed by all the members of the band for my birthday, I just happened to find it the day before my birthday It made my day!
After Mary's release of "Dark Side of the Moon" I thought the Mary I loved had taken the wrong path. I didn't get that CD at all and found it hard to listen to. Now with this release and her cover of "Both Sides Now" the Mary I fell in love with is back. Great Job Mary!
Magnificent.
I love this song!!! Beautiful!
simply beautiful. thank you
I feel somehow "married" to this evocative song! If I were a singer, this would definitely be my ultimate duet. And just FYI, I strongly support the right of gray wolves to exist and thrive amidst the backdrop of two-dimensional politics and undignified brutality, and this song will be shared as my new anthem. Thank you to all involved for the raw power of its inspired beauty.....
She could sing love her voice just moving my heart love it
Excellent!
Amo su voz ❤❤
adoreiiiiiii a música, maravilhosa.
Puuurfection!

I can listen to this over and over and over again! One of the most amazing voices I know! And such a beautiful person, too! I love watching her eyes in this video; there's so much emotion in them!
What a great song!

Beautiful. Mary continues to produce music that speaks volumes.
I love this. Mary's voice gives me chills.

The best female vocalist ever
Powerful and beautiful ! What a perfect combination !
Have been listening to the audiobook series (thank you Anne for your brilliance) and this song is perfection! I've been your fan for years, Mary, thank you for the beautiful gift of your voice.
Fell in love with your voice in the 90's with October project. Absolutely beautiful!!
Beautiful, she reminds me of Anne Lennox!
I finished the book. So Amazing can't wait to see if there is a third, which I have not doubt of.
Absolutey beautiful the best i'v heard you sing this song with great feeling nice
de las mejores voces que existen
The way you capture such emotional intensity in your music is magically. This is incredibly inspiring and overwhelming. Especially the language of your song. I'm happy that my mother introduced your music to me; it truly has helped to develop my own personal aesthetic. Thank you for the beautiful music.
Omg no words
Just heard this on John Diliberto's Echoes. What a tremendous and intense voice! Why hadn't I heard of this artist earlier?
I just had chills for four minutes watching this performance. Mary ... I feel like you've fully reached October Project heights with this new project. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for sharing your gift with us. We are so blessed to have your music in our lives.
wooowww
Mary is 55 years old now? She looks like she's 35. She was sporting kind of a gothy look back in the 90s--she looks better now. I think her voice sounds better too than it did in her OP days. It's nice to see she's making music again. I just bought her new album and waiting on Amazon.com to deliver it.
OMG your voice is so amazing... This is so my thing now.. I'm totally hypnotised. Just got the link from Anne Rice tweets 😀🧛♀️
When the shadows fall
and the fires burn
The forest calls to me and I must return
The night becomes primordial it murmurs and it hums
It draws me into mysteries with the sound of beating drums
And I'm so alive
I cant explain
I feel the moonlight
I sense the rain
The ghosts inside the looking glass
I hear their spectral sighs
and the tender sounds of innocence that haunt me with their cries
You and I
We are free
We belong to eternity
Ancient exiles are we
When the hunger comes
and I lose control
Hold me in the darkness
Bless my tarnished soul
I will run beside you
We'll leave the past behind
We'll hide inside the ages
Beneath the sands of time
You and I
We are free
We belong to eternity
Ancient exiles are we
You and I
We are free
We belong to eternity
Ancient exiles are we
Yes we're exiles
You and me
What would be awesome is if they Mahe a series for the wolf gift and have this song finally played for it. And as the opening theme
I've tried to transcript the lyrics. Could somebody please tell me if I got them right?
When the shadows fall. And the fires burn. The forest calls to me.And I must return.
The night becomes primordial. It murmures and it hums.It draws me into mysteries. With the sound of beating drums.
Then I´m so alive, I can´t explain.I feel the moonlight, I sense the rain. The ghosts inside the looking glass.I hear the spectral signs. And the tender sounds of innocents. That haunt me with their cries.
You and I, we are free.We belong, to eternity.Ancient exiles, are we.
When the hunger comes. And I loose control.Hold me in the darkness.Bless my tarnished soul.I will run beside you. We´ll leave the past behind. We´ll hide inside the ages.Beneath the sands of time.
+Ale Flores I have just two corrections in the same sentence
I hear the(ir) spectral sig(h)s
Thank you for transcribing this song. It is hauntingly beautiful and seeing the lyrics makes it even better.
Michael @ Epic told me about you just before the first OP release ………still a major fan . This piece would make for a very compelling music video (film)
No complement can do it justice.
Mary Fahal nossa Nana Caymmi internacional
porcccccc..che voceeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
A wonderful voice would you be a Gnostic perchance?
I have trouble believing the video. Wouldn't moving toward and away from the microphone make a difference in the volume of her voice? But I love the song and Mary Fahl's voice.
why does everything say 'former lead singer of oct. project'. believe me ...i know who she is. ab wonder
sus ojos son los lobos...
Dr, she has gone far beyond O.P in my opinion! But I hear what you're saying
j'ai chialé comme une merde ...
Spoilers: The two She-Wolves didn't like this video. I think that's why the Forest Gentry really threw them into the fire.
