I cannot believe refinery29 selected this as an example of excellence in eyebrow microblading! Eye makeup was left on during the procedure and finished results look like a big blob of color instead of individual hairs that microblading can give with the correct techniques. I am glad the client in the video was happy with her results, but her expectations should have been higher.
Thats honestly common your going to bleed its a needle... similar to when you bleed getting a tattoo every video ive seen or person getting them usually theres blood...
racheal kenney yes you are going to bleed. It’s rare but it happens. You are not suppose to bleed THAT MUCH. You should spot bleed if that. If you can actually see pools of redness, that is so not cool. This lady was not trained and has no idea what she’s doing
Kayla Del Buono-Resurreccion there's more than the numbing that is wrong with her technique. check Julia milin, Tina Davies and daria Chuprys for correct technique. most clients just feel like sensation of hair tweezing and not pain as shown in this awful video.
Of the videos I have seen of microbalding the client had never been in this much pain. The numbing helps with that and the skin doesn't normally sound like its being torn off.
I do Microbladding and I can’t believe all the things she did wrong!!! Your results is not Microbladding but a tattoo look! Your brows showed no Microbladding strokes because she slanted her blade and it bleed under your skin and the hair like strokes ink under the skin bleed to create that awful tattoo line that a poorly trained or inexperienced tattoo artist.
When i got mine done I gitbthe numbing cream i didn't feel a thing! The only bad part is the sound it sounds bad! I was never in pain! IDK why the girl in this video didn't use it
First: This girl should not feel ANY PAIN. She was not numbed long enough. Second: She is pressing TOO HARD into the skin. This girl needs to go back and learn how to properly microblade. Jesus.
Actually in my class I was told it's better to not numb before the first pass. But I understand almost everyone numbs before. But the girl in the video most likely didn't get a topical
@@morganbirdsong1370 maybe knows how to do it. Also yes it's a tattoo but with tattoos if you use to much pressure you cause way to much damage/trauma to the skin which can make the tattoo look terrible. She got lucky cause it could've looked a lot worse.
This vid is not a good representation of microblading. first, it would give anyone anxiety...the creepy music, the whispering, the sound effects. Plus the technician is not good. she is not using the proper technique, and her result does not look like hair strokes!
I was contemplating this after experiencing hair loss which also ment gaps in my eyebrows. After watching this video I will just learn to live with my gaps! OMG! Thank you xx
I don't mind some asmr videos but the girl's voice is annoying, and I want to watch a video about eyebrows, not asmr, I'm begging you please dont do this again
ffs, if you're trying to make an asmr video at least keep it consistent. and the whispered parts are way too harsh. like wtf. it was more annoying than relaxing.
So, when doing any permanent make up, the skin should be stretched so that the microblade tool is not pulling in the skin.. It is torture to watch. Also, the technician should pull her hair back and up.. Could you imagine having someone's dirty hair accidentally graze across your fresh cuts?
Some say no to numb on first pass because the results will not be as good. As long as you left the good quality numbing cream on for 25 minutes and whipped it off throughly then by the proper stretching method and closely looking at the pressure so you do not go too deep or not deep enough, a slight slit with in inside the skin will give good results as long as your pen is not slanted left or right that the pigment does not bleed under the skin to created a solid tattoo line.
Ok I'm sorry but the artist you chose to do the Microblading is Definetly not an expert! She completely surpassed the epidermis and enter the dermis and that is why this poor woman is eyebrows turned out gray and blurry. There are absolutely no strokes within her brow. Why wouldn't you do your research and actually have somebody who is a trained professional to do this? It's very irresponsible of you and frankly it shows that you don't do your research and you're not a credible channel. What this so-called artist is actually doing is creating scarring and damage within the poor woman's brow area. This artist has no idea what they are doing. she does absolutely no stretching technique on the skin to prevent polling, she tilts her blade instead of keeping it perfectly straight and applies way too much pressure. She also crosses over her strokes which creates irreversible damage to the skin, blurring, and scarring. That gray mass that you see under the eyebrow skin is proof that she went into the dermis and the ink bleeds out and spreads out under the skin and creates a gray mass of a "brow". THIS IS A HORRBLE EXAMPLE of what real microblading looks like done by real tattoo artist. I know because I am a Master Artist and trainer with several licenses and certifications not only in tattooing and color theory and technique but I am also an aesthetician. I know about the skin and the layers of the epidermis and epidermis and what can affect it if it's done incorrectly. I know about contraindications within a persons health condition and medication. If that person was a real artist it would show but it doesn't. This is damaging to the industry and you're setting up a lot of people to get bad work.
YES. I'm a microblading artist and I cringed through this entire video! Where's her 3-point stretch and WHY is she applying so much damn pressure!? This is absolutely horrible microblading technique. My goodness.. You'd think Refinery29 would've done more research.
JaymarieWalker she also didn't sanitize the eyebrow prior to micro blading, because you could still see some of her glitter eye shadow in her brows right before blading :/
JaymarieWalker I'm no aesthetician or expert in this field, but even I could tell somethings didn't seem right with this session. It didn't even seem like she used numbing cream on her or cleaned the area for that matter, at all before she started. I think had this been a job well done, she wouldn't have been in so much pain.
Wow, this is HORRIBLE microblading. Good going slicing up their skin and leaving them with permanent scar tissue. You should really work on your technique and practice before ever touching someone with a needle again.
assiracrose literally that's such a horrible technique her eyebrows are going to be scarred for the rest of her life oh my gosh she didn't even do the third way stretch help!!!!!!!
Microblading was the best decision I've made in a long time lol. I would highly reccomend. The pain isn't that bad. I will say tho that the pain gets a little worse with each touch up. I've had 4 touch ups sense I first did it, and every time it hurts a littttlleee bit more lol. It's totally worth it!
i'm a PMU artist and i do microblading, the only thing that made me cringe is the very wrong way the microblading was performed in this video. the stroking was too deep, and she didn't even stretch the skin. omg. i feel so bad for the client. this leads to unslightly bumps when it heals.
Omg.....it doesnt even look like she does the tiny strokes on the end. It just looks like shes going ham with the blade.....AND SHE DOESNT EVEN CLEAN THE SURPHACE OF THE SKIN BEFORE DOING THE PROCEDURRRREEEE
Being a permanent makeup artist myself, this technician needs to practice more with not blending the strokes, that’s not microblading, that’s essentially sloppy shading. She also needs to pull the skin taut to prevent the skin from dragging.
I was born with half eyebrows and I plan on doing this before my wedding it is in April 2022 I can not wait all my life I have spent without eyebrows I can not wait so excited 😊
DoubleCringe same! Ive been wanting to do it for so long but this looked awful. She just drug that damn blade across her skin so hard ugh i was cringing the whole freakin time. Screw Microblading, me and Anastasia are doing just fine.
THIS IS NOT MICROBLADING! She could have BUTCHERED this poor girls face. No stretch, no mapping, you are supposed to pluck AFTER the process. Are you kidding me!! This artist was not trained.
She had a bad eyebrow technician, poor woman. You should go to an other place, they'll give you a better shape, more realistic hairs because they'll actually (stretch your skin while doing), it and use cream anaesthetic.
My mother AND sister both said this was NOT the way their eyebrows were microbladed. They said the lady who did hers had a machine that looked like a tattoo one and she made tiny strokes, TINY STROKES, on their brows to MIMIC the look of actual hair. This looks like some painful ass shit done by someone who watched a tutorial on RUclips. ALSO they said there was no blood. They both went to the most famous lady here in Atlanta, both paid $500 plus another $200 for retouching each. I understand there are "multiple ways" people can do anything. BUT this looks wrong. I'm sorry.
It can be blood, but not that much. It depends on how vascular the face is. If there was no blood, they were barely going through the first layer which is why they have to come back more frequently for touchups. At $200/pop ...the artist is getting paid. Other than that...honey this video made my stomach turn. I was like "oh shit" the whole time.
What your mom and sis had isn't called microblading, it's called... a number of things, which is very confusing, such as nanoblading, nano hairstrokes, hairstrokes. Its really just a single needle tattoo. but whats shown in the video is in fact microblading, although her technique isn't great, she should have stretched the skin to prevent all that pulling on it.
I said the exact same thing. Where in the hell was the numbing cream? And that blade looks different from blade my lady uses. Well the customer was happy, so I guess that what matters right?
If you are trying to show all wrong ways of doing microblading then this is an excellent video. If not, the girl doing the work might want to educate herself on sanitation (as in providing some), proper training and technique (as in gaining some) and not being a clueless sadist (numbing agents, they exist, learn to use them). I'm a PMU tech and esti so I know what I'm talking about. Unsanitary tools pulled out of the tech's handbag, leather jacket and dangly zippers whacking against the clients face. No face mask, techs hair dangling in the clients face. Hyperextended neck on client. The brow wasn't cleansed, so all that unsanitary makeup was ground into opened skin. No stretch to the skin, so zerocontrol over depth or shape of stroke. Blood dropping down the brow (really?!?!) No definition to strokes when healed, AND they are the blurred gray of a classic too-deep stroke. It's like a horror movie, with the whispering as icing. A complete travesty.
I got my brows microbladed in January and it was so freaking painful that I'm dreading the touch-up. But I'm wondering if getting a tattoo on your body hurts as much? Can anyone compare the sensations? Because if getting a tattoo hurts as bad, I couldn't even imagine what it would feel like on my ribs or sth.
Never had microblading before but I do got piercings and tattoos. Even one on my ribs. And I never really thought they hurt, like yeah it's not a nice feeling but it's not the most painful thing ever. But maybe I also have a high pain level. I think it differs a lot for each person
Go to a professional cosmetic enhancing clinic that sells a very fast acting numbing cream, l cant believe your brow technician didn't tell you to do that beforehand? I forgot to put it on for my touch up, and the pain was unbearable until she did a few lines and added the anaesthetic into the cuts , they should do this aswell? I would go somewhere else next time 😟
it looks fuller and better than it did before. it's not supposed to look like a full glam, perfect eyebrow. Just as natural as it can possibly be while maintaining her natural brow shape
Interesting video concept.... that's all you got! The procedure is a total failure, let me help the general public with that:No prenuming (anybody can survive that), But No skin stretch technique resulting in 'no visible hairstrokes' not right after, not healed, not at touchup! No 3D eyebrows!. Where's this technician's training? Did she learn watching RUclips's videos as well???
The "technique" shown in this video is totally wrong, with proper microblading the skin MUST always be stretched first to avoid skin tugging and movement. You can see pigment migration/blow out and scarring already in her healed results. Poor woman.
This is "Beuty Close Up" all the videos are like this lmao why are you watching if you don't like it, go watch a normal microblading video and be happy.
These were horribly done in my opinion. I also do microblading and the white outlining of the eyebrow was just weird. I guess everyone who are license to do them, do them differently. I was taught to clean the forehead area to mid eyelid with wipes. Have client come waxed already or I would shape them up with an eyebrow blade. Apply numbing cream for about 20 mins, then wipe that off. Start to lightly outline the brow into the shape the client would request, wipe that off and then start to do strokes etc etc. I feel like hers looked drawn on with a eyebrow pencil.

Yes! I’m going to an amazing artist this month in Atlanta and her work looks 100x better than this.

usually the person would put numbing cream before hand so it will hurt a lot less. got it done and always waking up with perfect brows 😋
YES! You live the perfect brow life!!
Yes, Numbing cream is normally used. Unsure why someone would do the proceedure without it. Especially going that rough with the blading
I said the exact same thing. Where in the hell was the numbing cream? And that blade looks different from blade my lady uses. Well the customer was happy, so I guess that what matters right?
I've never seen anyone dig so hard while performing this procedure.....
Ktpncpng.

.
Isn't numbing offered? Needs to update on that!
omg eyebrow ASMR
ilikemonkeys ew no
If you are trying to show all wrong ways of doing microblading then this is an excellent video.
I would go somewhere else next time 😟
You can't see the strokes after its healed. I've seen better work where you can.
Yesss ! Her technique is horrible
cringed the entire time because of the whispering and technique..
Yeah and what about the numbing? Does not everyone do that or something?
"it looks so natural..."
**continues to show bloody dyed eyebrows**
_NOPE._
These videos are so good and satisfying
WTF 😨It is all wrong, poor lady will have deep scars for her life. Nasty, nasty, lack of knowledge.
Ela Wojnarowski that's what microblaiding is
Is this a horror movie or something??
Ok now this video made me change my mind about getting this done
Her eyebrows r still not nice in my opinion
Peachy Mijin i agree with u and im a girl
Your right it doesnt look good at all and my ass cringe watch this
Peachy Mijin do you think they were nice before??
The buzzfeed video is so much better. And they are supposed to put numbing cream.
it looks fuller and better than it did before. it's not supposed to look like a full glam, perfect eyebrow.
Did she learn watching RUclips's videos as well???
yeah i agree no knumbing and stretchin skin!!! uhh poor girl was grinding her teeth
Ouch.. never will I let my eyebrows suffer.. there are naturally beautiful and well kept maintained by my professional ..
Ohmygosh. Shes gonna go home and cry.
The "technique" shown in this video is totally wrong, with proper microblading the skin MUST always be stretched first to avoid skin tugging and movement. You can see pigment migration/blow out and scarring already in her healed results. Poor woman.
Is it painful?
The like blood left on her eyebrows gave me anxiety because she covered over it with the brown stuff😩
yeah me too
I literally muted the video because I hateee asmr. Oh well..

Me too

Why don’t use topical numbing agents? That feels so painful
I didn't sign up for an ASMR video :v
The whispering was seriously so weird and bizarre.....
This makes me so glad I never gave in to peer pressure or followed trends as a teen and plucked my eyebrows into oblivion! Ouch!
She didn't use numbing cream!
That looks painful blood is everywhere 😬😬😬

Omg the brows are actually bkeeding
I had to fast forward through all the ASMR-type parts.... Like I'm trying to watch beauty vids

Samee
Nikki Saguin ikr
Same here
These were horribly done in my opinion.
THE H FAM can you do my eyebrows? you seem more professional 😂😂😂💀
Omg whoever edits these videos *IM COMING FOR YOU*
The ASMR is so creepy
Dashuni _ what is ASMR
W
Wow! I had my eyebrows microbladed yesterday and if i'd watched this i'd have run a mile. Quality numbing cream is the answer. I had no pain.
