Oooff this song.. It's always been one of my favorites from Elliott Smith, but since I discovered the meaning of the lyrics this summer, a cover was inevitable. In this gorgeously crafted piece of music, he approaches 'the drink' as if he's talking to a lover, with all its darkness and dangerous magnetism. It unfortunately represents his life very strongly, so I'm dedicating this version to his memory and incredible legacy of music ♥
