Love how they gave Metal Knuckles and Tails Doll actual boss fights. And the interpretation of Tails Doll being a robot like the others, mwah!👌 Perfect😃
I might be late for this but to those unaware, you actually can fight the other metal sonics in this game. To trigger the secret version of this boss fight you have to hit a switch hidden above the entrance to the fight in the walls. Just jump on the little capsule you came from and into the wall above the entrance to the boss room. You should hit a switch and when you do, go back to fight the boss, you'll be able to fight the other mecha sonics including metal sonic with a new remix playing just for that boss.
Truly a fantastic reimagining of a game from my childhood. All the added bosses make sense timeline-wise as it was the mid-90s, plus foreshadowed nods to Adventure 1 as this fangame was made to make it more like an Adventure 1 prequel. Stuff like Eggman's design being a hybrid of his classic and modern designs, the cameoing Silver Sonic Mk2/Mecha Sonic Mk3 ,and E-99 being a precursor to the E-100 series, which Gamma is part of.
Totally agree with you, what I liked the most is that Eggman uses all kinds of Metal Sonic, which is kind of the end of the classic period, and the addition of E-99 is also a great idea. It is a pity that now SEGA does not use the E-series and Metal Knuckles, it would be possible to make Metal Tails, which was in the comics

@@NeoRageCH Yeah, Mecha Sonic (or 2.0 as he's now officially called) probably deserves love the most compared to the others. He's got a great design and he was quite popular with sprite movie animators back in the day in series like Sonic's Quest for Power - highly recommend that one if you're a fan of Sonic and Dragon Ball; it's a crossover of Sonic and Mega Man X that has the most intense fight scenes I've ever seen, more intense than Dragon Ball Z itself!

I remember playing Sonic 3D Blast as a kid, I couldn't make it past the first level without almost puking. Motion sickness, maybe? I thought 3D games just weren't for me lmao.
I'm more fan of Sonic 2D games, original Sonic 3D Blast is very hard, because it have a 3D camera, with a high view, which makes it very incomfortable to play
I love the name of the final boss which is “Final Egg Destroyer”. It really shows some kind of personality for Eggman that he is NOT messing around; he’s serious about killing Sonic and stealing/harnessing the Flickies’ power. Great job.
Sonic 3D Blast may have not been a great game but it had a charm to it and doing a 2D version of it makes it a good game. So as much as people crap on 3D Blast, something good came out it thanks to the fans.
Honestly a great sequel to 3D Blast If sega just one day bought the rights to this game and put it on steam for $5 I doubt no one would be able to tell it wasn’t made by sonic team

Honestly if Sega had released a 2D Sonic game on the Saturn that had 3D elements, it could have at least given the consoles fans something to enjoy. Also, it would be cool to see if this game could run in a real Saturn!
I figure that's Metal Sonic 3.0, from the comics. I don't think the whole Furnace thing existed, or at least, was well known, before this game came out.
Imagine if this game had 480 x 272 anamorphic widescreen. Somebody should actually port it to the Saturn and make that happen... Or even better, port it to the CD-32X (where it could run in 256-color 320 x 240 mode), but have it automatically switch to 32-bit RGBA and 480 x 272 when it detects that it is running on a Saturn and/or DreamCast.
