App called VS GPS by chance? I know you don't stop by my channel anymore but I had some similar experiences like this on some GPS quads a few months ago before the end of 2020 lol
I had both the icamera² and the jjrc x16 get major toilet bowling and were down right dangerous due to the crappy VSGPS app sending geomagnetic interference to the drone, if you look closely at both my reviews you will see the geomagnetic interference warning pop up at the top on my app interface every time it started to act up mid flight. Also surround mode ends up being a crash into the ground on both quads I tried. This looks just like another one of those quads.
Because of my suspicions that it was the app at fault when the icamera² drone was acting up in the exact same way my previous review on the JJRC x16 did since they both shared the same app, I flew it without the vsgps WiFi app and it flew perfectly fine...go figure!
Glad you show the bad points there's so much junk coming out at the moment like that jjrc x17 x16 and few others , great detail to pre flight etc thanks for sharing👍✈️😁
The JJRC X17 performed pretty decent when I reviewed it Matt 👍 I think it all comes down to the compass cal procedure on that one! However that x16 was a disaster, I threw it in the trash after my flight tests
i have had pretty good luck with the 4drc f4 but it doesn't have great range so u may want to try that one out and stay clear of any jjrc products as their last 3 or 4 quads had terrible toilet bowling
I think i just have the same drone but is branded "qqlrc u8" and it shares very similar physical similarity. sd card video resolution: 2k Internal storage resolution: 1080p Wifi transmission range: was like 3-5km (as i tested without interference like trees or something and i just referred from the telemetry from the remote control and the app) It was very responsive and the gimbal doesnt tilt that much But what i'd say is its autolanding was very precise unlike what's in the video, i tried flying it on our rooftop and autolanded and it will only like miss around 1 meter or less but it lands pretty well. It also uses the same app

The camera records at 2k to the card and pics at 4k. The specs say the range is 5km but with no external antenna on the remote I don't see how it's even possible. I'm guessing it's probably around 1km.

You always do thorough reviews, and I agree: stay away from this one (unless other reviews clearly show a much better performance). Don't understand why you cannot record on-board, while the openings for a card-slot are there. Just stupid.

Este dron se calibra como debe ser, no cambie a modo 2 si este permanece en modo 1, no use el modo sin cabeza porque se vuelve loco, y grabe con el filtro evergreen , es un buen dron, pero el modo sin cabeza y el cambio a modo 2 lo vuelve inestable , gracias
i hate when companies release these drones with toilet bowl issues,i dont blame banggood either,they are always good with me in refunding at least half of my money on drones like this plus i keep the drone which i can always replace the gps in the future when these gps issues are fixed.most of these companies are just out for your money.glad you showed the issues on this one as i was going to get it a few times for review.i hope you got this for free to review and didn't have to spend your cash on it.
There’s good ones out there but unfortunately there’s also the bad ones too. Don’t buy something till the reviews accumulate! This was sent to me by banggood for review and don’t trust some of the customer reviews either!

I don't think so. It should be just about the same as the b12 eis but with the traditional landing legs.

Me too! Looks expensive like I own lots of bling or something! If I cut out the foam just a little bit I could fit three beers in there! :)
Check you mode on your controller if gps is activated. Calibrating your drone is not enough if your gps mode is not activated.
If there is toilet bowl activity, it tells me the gps is on. If gps is off, there would not be any toilet bowl activity.
You can also see it is in gps mode in the screen recorded pip so it is just a bad unit.
