Mike had the BEST character arch of all time. It is amazing to see how much brighter he is in his sobriety. One of my favorite reality tv stars! I love how he is a positive influence to this generation
Keep it going one day at a time brother.. You got this ! I thought it would never be possible to be drug free but here I am !!! One day at a time my friend ! May GOD BLESS 🙏🏽😇🙏🏽
Same. I’m recovering from benzos and alcohol and it’s not been easy and the reward from the past and this point forward I’m happier even tho it can be dangerous but not as dangerous as in active addiction
As someone who also overcame opiate addiction, this is all so true. It's insane how much you change as a person when you stop using drugs. Mike's a perfect example. He's a completely different human being now.
GREAT STORY MIKE FR!!!! I'm a recovering addict I've been clean for over 8 years now, I died 3 or 4 times and got brought back thank GOD!!!!! BUT telling ur story and getting it out there is REALLY amazing!!! SOOOO many ppl go through this who aren't famous and need to hear stories like this before they give up and OD!!!! THIS is amazing!!!! U really need to link up wit MIKE MAJAK!!!!! FRFR
First off, I love this episode. What a wonderful testament of inner strength, resilience, and a connection to your most authentic self. Second, I see you so comfortable and connected with yourself, Sofia, during this episode. I would love to see more content like this from you. Congrats 👏🏼
Take everything he said with a grain of salt. It’s easy when you have ppl sending you to the best rehabs so you can make more money for them and yourself. Talks about 9 years of sobriety, yea it’s not hard when you have millions of dollars and a book deal waiting for you when you get out… The average person has nothing to look forward to when they get out besides the job that depressed them i the first place. They have nothing but to roll around in their squaller and ruminate over their failure once they get back to their house that’s about to get out of rehab back to their pre-foreclosed living situation because you’ve been in rehab and not working while you were working. But anything is possible right?
March 17 2008 was the last time so far that I’ve had a drink or a sniff. I’m so proud of evryone trying to get sober and working on themselves. Thank you all and u know who U are for calling me on my shit. Proud of u BDS. Big daddy sober

I absolutely loved this interview.. how genuine and authentic he came across, and when you mentioned feeling lost he held space and just listened to you and truly wanted to hear what YOU were going through. I loved that ! Happy for you Sofia 🙏🏽 I’m not religious, I believe in God and I’m spiritual, just not a church type of being (aka no idea what it’s called that I quantify myself as lol) but a long time ago i came across a saying that “when you feel lost or stuck, you aren’t; even in the midst of your own confusion, you are not at a ‘stand still’, you’re just simply in Gods waiting room”. That helped me through my own self healing journey/existential crisis/dark knight of the soul (all the things they named it on RUclips lol 💘💫☀️
Mike was always a favorite of mine on jersey shore. I grew up watching the show and didn’t understand the gravity of his addiction at that time. I rewatched all the seasons recently as an adult and it was heartbreaking to see mikes addition grow through the series. You could tell he was a genuinely nice person who struggled deeply inside. It’s so inspirational to see what he’s overcome and i wish nothing but the best for him
Mike is the goat of recovery of this generation, such an inspiration & his positivity is almost unheard of for what he’s overcome & now achieved. I was a fan of Mike then & even more now, even though he wasn’t drinking or partying on JS family vacation, he still was the best part of the show🙌🏼
i love Mike's story. I'm a HUGE fan of jersey shore (& family vacation ) and as someone who is 6.5 years in sobriety from the ĐƏVỊĻ ÐŔÚĜ ITSELF ( Ĥ€Ŕ0!Ń ) you have to WANT to quit for yourself. i was put in multiple rehabs when i was younger and i would leave early and go right back to it. the reason i didn't quit all of those times was because i just wasn't ready yet. Halloween of 2017 was the VERY LAST TIME I EVER TOUCHED it and i have NEVER gone back. I'm sooo proud of EVERY SINGLE PERSON WHO QUITS ADDICTION AND DOESN'T GIVE IN TO ADDICTION. Mike, I'm sooo proud of you and how far you have come and how Lauren stuck by your side the entire time NO MATTER WHAT. she didn't give up on you. and THAT is how you know LAURENS is the MIKE'S PERSON! I LOVE THEM SO MUCH!!!! XOXOXO
comparing this interview and the one with vin, I definitely feel like mike is just more grounded and you can tell by how he holds himself/the conversation
I just kicked a 2 year, 200mg+ Oxy addiction - cold turkey, 2 months ago. I didn’t even know what it was at the time I watched Jersey Shore. It’s crazy to think Mike went through it too. I’m very lucky that I’ve never taken drugs to get super high or blasted. In that sense I’ve never been addicted. The physical dependence is wild tho. Opioids are my drug of choice but they’re so insidious if you don’t keep it in check.
So proud of Mike!! He went from one of my least favorites by the time the OG Jersey Shore show wrapped, to now being one of my favorites. Growing up is realizing Mike was never the villain.. 💯
I thought he was still locked up so to see that he’s out and doing good is fantastic. I hope the best for you Mike everyone that knows you loves you and the fans will always cherish you and who you are as a person! Keep on pushing that positivity
Mikes character and Dina’s ….were actually the only two I really liked on jersey shore…like genuinely as people. I kinda liked Sammie but she had the whole stuck up persona going on. But the rest…don’t care for them. And mike was absolutely the funniest.
So, as a former opiate/ heroin addict (started in 2000 when I broke my ankle and had surgery) I’m coming up on 9 years clean on 5/27/24 (5/27/15 is my clean date) I can tell you that back in the 2000’s they never thought to train dogs to sniff out medication like pain pills. It was mostly weed, coke, and heroin. These days there are a lot of dogs that are trained for opioids such as pain medication. I mean, even drug testing back in the day. If you had a prescription for let’s say Vicodin but you were snorting or shooting Oxy, they couldn’t tell the difference, hell, some couldn’t even tell the difference between heroin and a pain pill. Now these drug tests can determine the difference between oxycodone and hydrocodone at minimum. So back when he was sneaking pills on set, I would say the dogs wouldn’t have helped, but now, I wouldn’t risk it
YESSSS SUNSCREEN IS POISON! Love it! As someone who’s pretty much addicted to anything, thanks for this. I appreciate the message and definitely helping me in removing my last few addictions. Much love! 😊
20:37 how on earth do you spend $2,000 a day on coke and Oxy? An 8 ball is like $300 max and 1 30mg perc is like $30 max. So for benefit of the doubt let’s say you were doing 30 a day - $900 (900mg which is a CRAZY amount) Now, when you mix uppers and downers, it’s called speedballing - the high is a different level but it’s SUPER bad for your heart. There is absolutely no way ANYONE is mixing those amounts, least of all every single day for 3 years. And even if they were, that’s about half the total Mike claims he spent. Idk anyone w

I always thought he was SUCH a douche on Jersey Shore… but this interview has proven otherwise. He has come so far, what an amazing man he has become. Love that he’s sharing his story to save others ✝️💝 My ex bf died from a drug overdose many years ago. So many people in addiction don’t make it.
Loved hearing my talk I just wish I could watch somebody else interview him.. I don't know of another podcast that has at least 8 ads in it. And it's only an hour long podcast. She's So Thirsty 🥤🥤🥤🥤

Fun fact! Dog's can be trained to sniff out almost anything!. There are even mold dogs, their only job is to sniff out mold that isn't visible to the naked eye
I laughed out loud when he said "We nursed each other back to life". Dude she got you off opiates, what did you nurse her back from? that's oneway nursing. Lucky guy to say the least. On another note, it's kind of scary how easily a seemingly good girl like Lauren straight up left her soon to be fiancee as soon as she crossed paths with an old college fling. Shady...poor dude!
He was hung up on his ex, but he still saw other girls during that time. His actions could have hurt some of these girls if he was not completely upfront with them at the start. His story is not the story of redemption as it appears to be.
Well, yah. People hurt others, but that’s kind of what redemption is about. And not only that, but we will always continue to make bad choices, because that’s human nature. It seems like he’s choosing to be very honest and reflect on himself.
I have plenty of video of driving him around. After the first season my brother was selling him oxycodone regularly. At the time I driver an 07 350z so at one point I had to drive him to an atm to get money to pay my brother. I’ll never forget being in his house and he couldn’t believe I didn’t know who he was 😂😂😂. He was showing me clips of him on tv and magazines to impress me…we went to Rutgers and he tried to use his celeb status to get whatever the fuck he wanted.😂😂😂
