I thought quantum computers were huge, expensive and impractical? They're making it sound like they somehow managed to fit one into a regular computer chip, which doesn't really add up. Also, Wikipedia has this to say: "As of 2023, classical computers outperform quantum computers for all real-world applications. While current quantum computers may speed up solutions to particular mathematical problems, they give no computational advantage for practical tasks." Sounds like a solution in search of a problem. Gee, I wonder where I've heard that before...

This quantum AI could, in theory, map out every single chemical reaction and electrical exchange in your entire nervous system, and calculate exactly how each neuron will fire far in advance of it actually happening. This AI will know you better than you do.
Quantum AI was explained very well in the movie Don't Look Up. I think the guys name was Peter Isherwell. Supposedly, it can predict things before they happen. All based on tons of data on the subject at hand. Remember, he predicted the president would be eaten by a Bronteroc. Thousands of years later, she was killed by a Bronteroc. 😅 but on a serious note, Quantum AI was wrong too, about the main character.
Its kinda like it works with LLM`s too. They have no accuracy in traditional sense, just good filters and conditions to minimize measurable inaccuracy. Google's video was more of a marketing-advertisement than a direct information. A better implication I got from BBC's critique: Oversimplified, from what I soley got from that video, let me know if it's accurate. Quantum Computing is more of a variation than an upgrade. The real achievement Google did actually was decreasing random error rate while dealing with large data. Also it's rather a "magical" extraordinary milestone than a breakthrough. Because the technology/theories has been existing since decades. Now the impact is, we can deal with large large large data without running into error issue. Which will allow us to learn more about "out of this reality" quantum stuffs instead of little. Again it's a variation of computer, for example, our reality have two hands, quantum computer and it's field have four hands. That means the handshaking is for them. Those large large large data are four handed stuffs, while two handed stuffs are for example the ultra high graphics in games. For better graphics we need to innovate the 0s 1s. But who knows in future if we get new field of technology (ex, light/radio) that is made of qubits, then those quantum computers will finally come into dailylife application.
