Hi Conrad, we spoke a while back regarding the ACCA as i have real plans to start it. I have a question: since there is a required 3 years of relevant work experience, how can i know whether a job is relevant? Does it have to be within the financial sector?
Hey there - have a read here www.accaglobal.com/gb/en/student/practical-experience-per.html#:~:text=To%20complete%20PER%20you'll,Essentials%20and%20four%20Technical%20objectives.
@@ConradBrink Good to hear that. Do you have a video about your ACCA journey (when started, how long it took, what were the most challenging exams, etc) ? One thing I don't like in ACCA is their organization mentality. Their mentality is old as f. For instance: diplomas looks horrible (for the amount of money they charge, they could have hired a designer), exam spreadsheets are like from 1997 (despite that they speak a lot about modern technologies in Finance/Accounting and PER), no time adjustments for non-native english speakers during exam (many certifications do give +30 more minutes for obvious reasons), their site is trash (section wise), living in AI world, they check exams for 1.5 month, exam sessions they organize every 3 months only (why cant they do it every 1.5 month)?
Hi, i just recently graduated with a bcom finance degree and doing a finance graduate programme would acca give me the same opportunities as CA(SA). Im really drawn to acca due to the flexibility
I get you 100%; rather look at doing CIMA in south Africa because it’s better recognised and also you can get exemptions for ca(sa) up to the last 2 board exams.
With ACCA's accreditation with IRBA, the recognition is definitely increasing and will be more widely recognised in SA. It will take a bit of time, but it is gaining traction. You can't go wrong with either option. In a few years it would probably be seen as being on a similar level such as in the UK, Botswana, Zimbabwe etc.
Hi conrad! I hv done fsc pre engineering, currently in ksa, want to do acca, is it a mistake or gud decision? Is it true that now without any bachelor or masters degree acca can't go to UK Canada etc and many ppl r saying that acca=joblessness I'm am really worried n confused , don't want to waste my time , and can I go n do masters in uk after 9 acca papers and if I can I want to ask does acca has collaboration with uni of London, is doing msc in applied accounting preferable or in which thing I should masters, plz help n guide
ACCA is a top qualification for anyone in the world in Finance. The question would be: would you want to study it just so that you can move to another country or does it really interest you? I would do whatever makes you happier!

Definitely on my own at home. I always optimise for flexibility!

As long as you worked in the accounting department of the business you’re good!
@ConradBrink Thanks alot Conrad! Getting a part time job in this area may be tough.
What is your biggest disappointment in regards to ACCA?
Honestly, I have no disappointments. It’s an incredible qualification that gives you endless opportunities!
