I was strongly considering the espresso but ended up getting the iPad as per your suggestion. Just get an iPad Pro 12.9 Inch and use the sidecar feature with an Apple Pencil. Ended up paying less for the stand, iPad and pencil vs the espresso, pen and stand.
Hey AR & Team. Great to see a different pitch on the show. The more those wings are spread ovwr the horizon, the more potential avenues you can tap on...Cowabunga.!
You don’t need to be a tech expert! It’s better that we here a users experience - especially for the audience it’s made for. I hear these are great for nintendos too. Love that this channel may be more than backpacks pretty soon, but I’ve been meaning to sign up to the emails as I really do want to see the journey of the nomad backpack!
Appreciate that and yes I agree - it’s nice sometimes to just have a simple UX review. We def plan to be more than just a backpack review channel - be sure to sign up to the email list to follow our journey!!
As a new digital nomad myself, I would love to see a review on the LG Gram +View portable display as well, specs have it as brighter and higher resolution than the Espresso and it’s only $350.
IMO 300 nits can be too dim, especially if you're looking to use this outdoors (not even in direct sunlight). My first portable was 300 nits. I stopped using it after a while because it was too dim. Then I got a 500 nits one and its a maaaaassivveee world of a difference. My gf ended up getting the same one too. You should definitely try a 500 nits one!
That is absolutely killer Aaron! I've been really interested in a secondary display for travel and working abroad! Hope you guys are doing terrific! Best, B
Very cool idea. My youngest child has a drawing tablet which is essentially a second monitor with additional functionality to support drawing. It also has its own custom wires to make everything work but it's much chunkier than this. Great idea to have if you have multiple laptop users in the house and this could be on a desk somewhere that anyone can use. For me, i have a dock with multiple monitors attached for work, but if I didn't have that this would be an interesting option.
Hi Aaron, Great information. I have an iPad 12.9 inch love its sharp resolution particularly because I los the vision of my right eye, I am an architect and do a lot of reading. I wonder how you find the espresso display resolution compared with the iPad. Your feedback would be much appreciated. Alberto
Hi and thank you for the review! Just curious on configurations for the monitor and stand - is there any issue with using the display on the stand such that the screen is horizontal but with enough room beneath it to have the laptop display below it? Think two stacked horizontal displays. I’m trying to get a sense of whether the portable screen is stable with the stand at its highest. Thanks!

Leaning towards the 15 inch to pair with my Samsung Chromebook and Lenovo Tab P11
solid combo

If that would work [easily] with my phone, I'd get one.
Congratulations on hitting 20K!
Thanks Marian! It can def work with your phone but I’m not exactly sure how 😂

Great suggestion Sean - I’ll look into it 💪🏾
thank you for this comment.
i never thought the price tag of the Espresso display is justified in any way, the LG seems a much better deal.

Great suggestion! I used the monitor pretty extensively, but I’ll admit, not outside. I can imagine it makes a big difference
I bought one... And I can't wait to use it.
I can't wait to hear what you think about it... please let us know!

Glad to hear Brandon! I think for travel and working abroad this is a really great option. Hope you’re well mate!
the review was cool!
may i know does this support HDMI to USB-C cable video and other USB-C for power from Adapter ?
Thanks dude! Unfortunately I’m not a techie person, probably best to ask the brand themselves - just to be safe 💪🏾

Great to hear from you Jeff and totally agree - this would be great as a sort of ‘family display’ that anyone can grab

Hey Alberto, thanks! Unfortunately I don’t own an iPad so I can’t say for sure, but if I had to guess, they’d be on par with each other 💪🏾
the res on Espresso Display is only 1920 x 1080, not even close to be on par.
@@DeadMyth110 good to know - cheers!

Ah not sure Mark, that might be a question that Espresso customer support can help you with . Be sure to let us know what they say!
There is no discount using your link though. I would buy it with your link if they gave us a discount.
Nope no discount, just making sure that you use the link that goes directly to their site so you pay the best price and don’t get ripped off 💪🏾
