Excellent question! Recognizing acids is best completed as part of the prior knowledge necessary before beginning AP Chem. Some teachers include some of the essentials of acids in Topic 3.7 (Solutions and Mixtures), since acids are some of the most important solutions we deal with in AP Chem. Other teachers include it in Topic 3.8 (Representations of Solutions). Since concentrations of solution components is included in 3.8, and this will be different for weak acids than for other solutions, I include strong/weak acids in 3.8. Some teachers don't introduce strong/weak acids until Unit 4, and that's fine too.
I didnt really understand what was going on in the 1st part of the video. Could you give me the main idea of whats going on in this topic?
It's just some special cases in chemical reactions.
Excuse me, I don't remember anything about acids in the third unit. Could you please remind me which topic it was?
