The thing you did at the beginning, to "draw" the girl on your sketchbook... Well, I feel so stupid, why'd I never used it?! Thank you so much, that was really inspiring and completely refreshed my mind about that technique!
Andre 58 woah I’m surprised no one here really knew that technique I found that out by Xabio Arts, and I would preferably use it for mix media sketchbook paper..
Does anybody knows if she used a regular hb pencil, a ball jointed pen (it kinda looks like one in the video) or something else to ‚doodle‘ over it and transfer it?
Awesome. I'm currently taking a watetcolor&ink&pen class. This is so helpful. I'm a portrait artist but I use acrylic. Ur vid has helped me get rid of som of my acrylic habits.
omg THIS IS SO INSPIRING AND AMAZINNNNG AND ALL THINGS BEAUTIFUL!! I'm so so so happy to have stumbled upon your channel 😭😍😍 keep it up fam!! love it 💯💯
Did you use the red and purple shades for the skin? (lol its kinda obvious but just wanna confirm it tho 😅) btw your works are damn great, you inspire me so much 😊💕
yep I also used a darker blue to deepen shadows, like under the bottom lip (but it's pretty much purple because i painted it over red lol) Im so happy to know people are still enjoying this video
Question - do you tape the edges for stylistic reasons or does it help prevent the paper from buckling? I have this same sketchbook and it doesn’t buckle too bad with watercolor, but it could be better. Amazing work, I just subscribed to your channel
+Rachael M. Broadwell it helps with buckling but doesn't stop it lol it works much better with watercolor paper i just do it all the time now because i like how the sharp edges look. 😊 and thanks for watching, glad to have you!
does anyone know why they shaded all over the back of the paper before transferring the drawing to watercolor paper? i'm so curious... anyway, beautiful video!
The shading on the back of the paper is used to transfer the sketch. When you draw over the top side(pressing firmly) it presses the lead or charcoal on to whatever is below it :)
Love your work! I am curious though, and this may sound stupid....I've not seen the way you grip your pencil before. Is it a specific technique or just what works for you?
Random spanish comment coming through: Normalmente escribiría algo en inglés, pero lo único que puedo pensar es "qué pedo, neta qué pedo". Es demasiado hermoso.
lol i don't know if you actually meant "what a fart" or not (i used google translate) but either way it made me laugh. I'm glad you liked my painting. Thank you for your nice comment. 💜
Question? Do you draw these pictures or do you get them from a site? Do you take the photographs then trace and copy then paint them. How are you doing this?
WAAA THIS IS SO COOL!! I hope I can be as good as you ❤️😭 I just found your channel and definitely subscribing (*≧∀≦*) Um, I wanted to ask if you wait for it to dry every layer? Thanks~ ❤️❤️
+Yaoi Luver ❤❤. I wait for every layer to dry but i don't normally use a lot of water so if i move around the painting most of the time spots will be dry by the time i come back to them 😊. If not i just go do something else for ten or so minutes ☺☺
I think her shoulders are too narow, and the shadows are strange on her neck ( no shadow under chin and sides of throat). Hope you dont mind the constructive critique :)
ow! This is so wonderful to watch. Such great talent. Here take my subscription! ☺️ Did you use liquid watercolor with the background and hair? +xraineyx13
the transferring of the drawing technique is something I never thought of which is really cool. thank you for teaching me something new
did any of you guys ever watch an art video and thought "this would be the point I would mess everything up"
Black Widdow especially with watercolour
more like, this is the point where I would hate the painting and then just give up.
This is super inspiring. It makes me want to get better. Love your work!

The thing you did at the beginning, to "draw" the girl on your sketchbook... Well, I feel so stupid, why'd I never used it?! Thank you so much, that was really inspiring and completely refreshed my mind about that technique!
+Ornella thanks for watching, im glad it was helpful! ❤
I like dont understand what she did in that part lol
she made a drawing on a regular piece of paper and then she put graphite on the back so she can copy it on watercolor paper.
Andre 58 woah I’m surprised no one here really knew that technique I found that out by Xabio Arts, and I would preferably use it for mix media sketchbook paper..

Yeah lol, "qué pedo" is like "wtf" but to me it is stronger, with more feeling hahaha that's why my comment was in spanish
que ? O..o
