I got them both SSS-5 and there cars. I think they’re both necessary bcuz in the multi team battles each one offers a good counter to certain enemy teams.
For projectile teams or a deadly range unit like E. Ryu hadoken spam or Guile AoE etc I use E. Honda for his bullet wall and I use Zangief and super armor buff etc vs melee units. If you have both build em and overtime you’ll be glad you did.

Hi Payne, been watching your video for awhile on SFD and absolutely love the content. Its like your reading my mind when it comes to some of these comparisons and showcases. One thing I would mention is that even though f2p players don't need a tank till they hit the mid 30s of the story mode they will eventually need to build a character out of necessity with all the resources that are being given . This is where your videos come in soo handy, I always know which unit I need to build next even though I won't need to use them any time soon. Fatal Panda :).

My theory is that while assisting, E. Honda is hooked up to the hearty meal turkey machine so he can't be killed from the damage transfer

Is there an issue causing bullet wall to not trigger in supreme fist? There is an issue not forcing e Hondas bullet wall to not trigger on his C3 move

Thanks for the video Payne! Great info as usual. Do you have a video on Guy by chance. Him and Dhalsim are extremely annoying in PVE and am running a SS M. Bison, SS Beast Zang, SSS Chun Li and SS Elena. SS Guy as assist and SSS Cammy as assist. Guy kicks my ass as well as Dhalsim. Have other units like SS Viper but not sure of what strategy would work best. Also is Guy worth using in PVE?
Hey dude! Guy is indeed annoying so the best way to deal with him is to let his super go off and stop combo 1. The only other way to interrupt him is to literally do it right on time as he is about to go off but it's one of the toughest to time. Other way is to do the ex move trick which I don't like but essentially u do the ex move as the screen goes black before the super and the opponent freezes for a few seconds and u can Interrupt. Dhalsim u just have to wait as he is about to breath in and have ur c2 already going
@Payneblade ok yeah, the timing of Beast Zang c2 is a little tricky but I'm learning. Biggest issue I have with Dhalsim is sometimes he's to far back for Beast Zangs c2 to reach him, to interrupt. Actually have that issue with any AOE character that hangs in the back. Beast Zang sometimes can't reach them.
So when that happens with dhalsim you need to start the combo a bit earlier, run your c1 as far to the bottom as u can and then dhalsim will come back

@@PayneBlade But isn't B zang C2 supposed to bring all 3 together while doing spin. Almost every time this happens to me when I do my c2 with B zang,, he bring all 3 player together and viola!

Am I missing something in thinking Zangief's cars are gimmicky? From what I understand, his car bonuses don't do anything unless he actively participates in the combo chain, which is hard to justify besides maybe in Thunder tower. Also, Super Armor is just knockback prevention right? That just seems so situational, with very minor to no benefit.
Other than that, I do agree that Zangief is one of the best tanks for his passive alone.
He’s the anti bison. His 6/6 cat passive lets him basically counter attack and remove passives at the same time after being hit 16 times. It makes a big difference in super showdown especially if the opponent doesn’t change up his defense.
His banishing flat c2 is a crazy crazy dmg dealing move and the fact that it removes passives makes killing units like e Honda, bison, Abel etc much easier because their passives don't work. I have always used it and it's made life much easier lol
@@brokenteeth22 I've had people/friends try to counter my Bison in draft mode with Zangief, and Bison never died early in 10 games. Not saying it can't happen, but it isn't something that can be counted on to say the least.
The Banishing Flat proc is his 3/6 cars, which requires him to take 16 hits while Super Armor is active. AFAIK he only gets Super Armor if he uses his Super or Combo 1, which comes at an opportunity cost of using a much more powerful ability like F. Blanka/C. Viper super, or Elena/S. Poison c1. Zangief's superand c1 are also awkward in that they can cause your follow up abilities to miss.
And then there is just straight using Zangief's C2. It's actually a fairly good ability and come with a heal, but it's up against stiff competition.
Now, I want to be clear that I'm not at all saying Zangief is bad in any way - he's easily one of the best tanks for PvP. I just question whether his car bonus is worth it (over say perfect SS cars).
Im wondering if having a full tank team with a healer would be a good idea for defence teams on guild effigy and pvp. U can just play for time out but I guess theres a damage multiplier the less time there is in pvp modes.

If you have these players on the top row (you can only use 2 peeps there). Do these buffs work or do they have to be in the bottom row (4 peeps)?

13:05 Is the assist AoE ? Cause the description makes it sound like affect all fighters and not the assist only and its confusing cause FS is always (?) for the assisted fighter only, but Honda/Zangief have AoE defensive passives on their kits :S
Honda? Hondas is AOE as is zangief
@@PayneBlade Really? Im talking only about the FS Assist Skill (FS +5). Zangief description makes it sound like only affects one of your teammates ,but Honda's description makes it sound like its AoE and in that case Honda should be always better.

Bison fs5 is really good for anyone to survive as well + raises their dmg. If you happen to have f Sakura she is amazing for it too

Talking in a group they sayd un the long road zang is more usefull but u will use the 2 to pass the tower
Tower isn't the main thing for them it's when u go to 2-5 man story. They both do really well in tower. I'm on 276 in all towers and use Honda there more
