Game looks good visually but combat seems so static...
I think so too, but its how most mmos are unfortunately.
Hopefully, the overall gameplay can compensate for that.

No! D combat is trash. Without d earning money content dis game would be dead.
I don't see how they can avoid bots, when the only "human verification" (as they call it) they added, verifies absolutely nothing because it's a simple TOTP. You don't need the app they tell you to install. You can generate the TOTP with any single authenticator app, or even yourself if you know how to code because the TOTP is a documented standard. It's not made to verify someone is a human, it's simply used for MFA. If the devs think it is enough to combat bots, I have very little faith in their capabilities, and the game will be literally full of bots... since it might also be one of the easiest game to bot ever (99% of the game is already automated, the only thing you'd need to automate to have 100% autoplay is a few clicks on some buttons).
why does this game look very similar to TL even the AH menus look the same
They usually follow the same ui format cuz thats what people are used to using.
Adding a completely new drafting style would only add difficulty to the basic mmo system everyone has been using comfortably the past 2 decades
