We had a similar story were my great uncle was sent to Soviet Russia in 1970s to study ended up with a Russian girl and the family didn't know until his youngest son came looking for him 15 years ago. We are still praying for the older one but my grandmother said to give him space his time will come.
Lol, I have a similar story in my family. My mothers uncle went to Russia to study medicine. He married a Rusian girl, and opened a GP in Mogadishu where they lived together and had a child. But when the war started they moved to the states.

It's not uncommon now that kids are raised without their Somali Fathers. As much as this is a good example. But it could have easily been that children stayed non muslim, or hate Islam because mom teaches it. It's fortunate for him that Allah guide him.
