We booked our flight to Cebu, took the city bus then the long haul bus, a ferry from Hagnaya Port and arrived in Santa Fe after hours of transiting. But it was all going to be worth it as we discovered a more off-the-beaten-path island destination of the Philippines.
Though Bantayan doesn’t come up on many foreigners’ radars, we were so surprised to see how beautiful of an oasis it was! Sandra Beach was honestly the most pristine and massive beach we had come across in the Philippines despite Bantayan not being a small, remote island. Hopping over to the sandbars of Kota Beach and the gentle turquoise curves of Balidbid Lagoon were just a bonus of our time discovering this island.

Great video! Footage was beautiful. My partner and I will be visiting soon and are considering staying on the island for 6 days, with some island hoping for a 1 or 2 days. How long were you guys in Bantayan island? I’m wondering if we will have enough to do for 6 days since it is such a chill place or if it’s better to travel down south like you two did for part of our trip.
To be honest we would definitely split it up between Bantayan and somewhere down south! In 2 days you can see everything you want with Bantayan. I’m not sure if you’ve seen our Moalboal video yet but we LOVED Moalboal haha. Of course if you prefer to slow travel and really relax then 6 days is fine too!
Hope you had the chance to taste the lechon manok there at Bantayan Island. The one I tasted there (4A's lechon manok) was the best one of all the lechon manok in the Philippines.
Unfortunately we didn’t but we will definitely note that down the next time we get to visit! It must have been delicious.

Hahah yes it’s quite busy in Italy but understandable with how beautiful it is there 😍. We loved how quiet it was on Bantayan, very few tourists actually 👍

Thank you! If you stay in the town center (Poblacion), we found the internet fantastic and very stable but if you venture outside of it, it does become very spotty!

It was 1800PHP for the boat (doesn’t matter amount of people) and 100PHP for each person’s snorkel gear!

What do you mean there was a language barrier
A lot of the locals only speak Cebuano so it was more challenging!
How much is the private tour?
All the tours from Bantayan (at least from the dock where we did our tour) are private so it’s all the same cost as we paid!
How much is the private boat tour for 2?
The boat tour itself was 1800PHP and 200PHP for both of our snorkel sets!

@@katierodriguez3374 in the main town center it’s very strong! Anywhere else the connection can get spotty!
So many trash on the Sandira beach. They should use the entrance fee to maintain the beach. It is still beautiful, but a little bit saddening.
We didn’t notice as much trash on the beach itself but definitely the path leading up to it! Hopefully, in the future they can maintain it as you suggested 🥰
