Love your videos. I changed careers from a certified diesel mechanic to police officer 20 years ago. I’ve second guessed my decision many times. I live vicariously through your videos. Thanks!!!!

Real modular and easy to come out. Those engineers were looking out for you when you have to change the water pump 😂

Man not emptying that AC machine is pretty bad. Good on you for leaving everything better than you find.
Wholeheartedly love the engine swap you do. Even the GF said...I love that music lol

Great detailed videos. How long did it take you to drop the subframe and get the engine off? I just bought a 2013 3.7 and need to pull it. But have to pull it and re-install the subframe until I either rebuild or replace the engine.

Is that thing you had to do the same thing as a crank/cam relearn process? My tuner device for the car has the relearn program on it, do you think that will work fine to get everything set right?

I just wasn't sure. I just remembered that most engines had to have that to be broken in

Lol, I always enjoyed working on and test driving police cars. I'd pull up behind a car going down the road, and it was obvious the driver was freaking out

Don’t forget to drill the intercooler and put a catch can in. I’m sure law enforcement uses the turbo quite often.

Can you share a little bit more about how lousy the warranty times are on these jobs? Warranty work always sucks, but Ford has a reputation for being the worst and the cheapest right now on their times. You may be able to "break even" on these jobs because you've done so many of them, but the pubic should know that you could have made 2 or 3 times as much that day doing "Wallet Flush" maintenance work or brake jobs or "Customer Pay" work in general. I was a flat rate dealer tech in the 80s and 90s and I got out when everything started to go to shit and I changed my occupation in life.

scdevon you were smart. These newer direct injection engines are crap. Ford and other car makers didn’t have the foresight to see what direct injection would do to the intake valves. Quite often they will build up a crust or coking because with direct injection the valves aren’t being washed as the gas enters the cylinder. Fords fix was to add sequential port injection in addition to the direct injection to take care of the valve coking problem. The water pump was the other screw up Ford made. Putting it on the timing chain and sitting just above the oil pan when it failed it leaked antifreeze into the oil pan and most times destroyed the engine (rarely caught in time to save the engine)
