I don't think I would be able to travel there being a female, especially after their shocked responses to outsiders! But looks very cool! I'm Muslim so I'm sure it might be even more dangerous in those types of regions. But if u had dark skin it would probably be easier. Some places like this it would probably be smartest just to wear as much local clothing as possible...it worked for me in Pakistan just wear a ninja hijab and avoid talking too much in certain areas. But it's so cool and unlike anywhere in the world. The colors, tastes, and sounds. And something about goats that wear bells.
I have worked with a lot of Ethiopians and find they are the most sincere and hardworking people ever! Makes me want to visit one day. And the food is amazing!!
What a treat that was, I love that the kids are so open to saying hello. This goes to show that borders don't stop us from being friends. Great video Nick! 🎥🎥🎥🎥🎥
Ni children in the US would run up to a stranger like that. They wouldn't do it anywhere in the West actually. This is something you see in the power countries of the world. The children are more natural. Their spirits are more honest.
Anna N in high school in the states our esl teacher told us to go out and mingle with the locals the locals brought children to us Somali students. After interacting few minutes ont of the children turn an adult white female and said “they seem to be nice even through my mom doesn’t like black people” 😂😂😂 that’s was strange but coming from rough life I didn’t care
Mobile issues are probably the govt taking down the network to stop political unrest. Ethiopia stole part of my heart. Amazing country with beautiful people.

I want to let you know that I'm really, really enjoying this Ethiopia journey. It's giving me a sneak preview into what I am getting into. I intend to be there for about 3 weeks starting in mid December, before going to Egypt again for 90 days. I'm actually going to start my own vlog. Your vlog going through Egypt inspired me to start video taping my time there, and stop just taking photos. I know you are a fan of Mark Wiens. I was watching his recent journey through Ethiopia and especially Harar. The Heyna feeding looks too terrifying NOT to miss. As someone who has researched extensively what Ethiopia has to offer the traveler, I'm getting excited to see what places you are going to visit while you are in Ethiopia. Thanks for being so inspiring.

BelindaJo Whitmore don't feel bad children. Our culture children free to play outside it safe. After school or before school they play outside that all .
The children are free to play around, every adults keeps an eye on them. Believe me, they are safe. I was shocked too when I went to Nigeria and Kenya but then I remember when I was young and growing up in NC. I was able to go out and play with friends and just had to be in before the streets light came on. Today’s kids in America will never have that experience.

I have loved my travels to Ethiopia. Beautiful people as if they should be walking a catwalk in Milan. The people are so friendly and curious. The food is amazing. I have traveled to 96 countries, most of them more than once. Ethiopia stands out as one of my favorites.
Most foreigners, westerner or not tend to make Ethiopia look awful or depressing. I like that you did not condescend nor hide/flaunt occurrences, you presented your experience and the country as it was. Thanks and nice video, hopefully next time you visit Ethiopia the country would more efficient.
Yeah, they say a lot of awful things about Ethiopia, but they live in Ethiopia😅 I've seen this white American who living in ኮቦልቻ ወሎ and he hates Ethiopian the same time he believes that Ethiopia history started in 1980
You are such a brave man Nick, as the average person wouldn't dream of going to such remote places. Loved it when all little kids came up to you their with smiley faces it was a picture and a lot of the locals seem to be very friendly great stuff.
Ethiopian people live very simple and happy. The things haven't changed for long because Ethiopians don't mind it. What is it high rise 70 story building condo and BMW if you don't have a healthy life? We all know every single person in Europe and America is dosed with some shit antipsychotic drug or have to drink alcohol or smoke weed to just socialize or live. Some people live simple life very happy stress free. Some people live luxurious life and commit suicide. Which one is better? Well everybody knows what they want. But I envy Ethiopian people for the way they live. I'm going there this month and stay all winter there. And if I like it I will add next winter to it and come back on 2020....
Your vlogs are truly an inspiration to travel into the actual foreign lands! Your whole Africa tour so far is the most captivating series so far! Keep safe Nick! Thank you!

It depends on where you go, the hottest place on earth is in ethiopa i think(dalol). South western part is svananna and north west mountains and green, allmost rainforest, nile. North east active volcano, hottest place, desert. South east really hot and desert.
That's all i knew before this. I thought it was all desert. But i guess you don't learn everything in school. It's very fascinating to learn so much new stuff from a channel like this and get to know new cultures and people just come together. It's very nice. So i guess, greetings from germany ismail :)

Thank you for you visited my country Ethiopia. It is one of the most beautiful and historical place and it is my dad birth place Gonder. I hope you had such a nice time. God bless Ethiopia!!!
it is an epic blog... really gives that feeling of realization that comes with an open mind in journey.... also, so filled with the vibe of that place... as for expensive hotels... there's a system of locals offering rooms to guests which is much cheaper, but, being semi-official, you have to know someone to introduce you into it. its sort of like home-staying, with your own room or hut... commonly you trade minimal comfort, for a lot of interaction with locals and authentically delicious meals.

Jacqueline Hagedorn no villagers are not dangerous people they very cultured and very respectful, children were there because they have never seen a white person before. I'm more scared in big cities than when I'm in the country side
It’s one of the most peaceful places on earth. The worst that will happen is that they over charge for something or beggars on the streets. A very non-violent country.
You think it is off the beaten path now...I hitch hiked through northern Ethiopia 20 years ago during a war. I cannot wait to go back because there has been a lot of development since I was there. I loved Ethiopia!

Thank you David, your words mean a lot to me ❤️
3 months in Egypt . boy you'll suffer 😂🤣😆😂🤣😆
Good luck.
Love Ethiopia. I have been there 5 times already.
thankyou I like honest people
We love you too😃
were u born there, or just to visit?
Just to visit. Been to multiple African countries.
Could you perhaps tell me what the best way to travel the country is? From airport to hotel, hotel to for instance the national park, hotel to old churches etc. What is the best way for a group of 5 people.
Oh my country thank you for visiting Ethiopia 🤗🤗
Thank you for having me
proud to see that .my orign
Free Soul= Please Don't thank him he is a HATER...Nothing Positive, Only Negative. SMH,
True , always showing the negative side of the country. Never showing the modern building , such as airport etc
Go on bro don't want to see 5* hotels. Wanna see it as it is.. Thank you
An Ethiopian born kiwi mate here. Appreciated.
Now this ain't no Instaglam nomad.

Yup.... this is legit!
When kids reached out to him while smiling this somehow made me want to cry. These kids deserve the best future.
Man, this guy has some amazing travel tips. He also stays the most vibrant areas where he can mingle with the locals. I hope he stays safe wherever he goes!
Really incredible to see you doing this stuff. I dont think I could ever handle the uniqueness of each experience. Trusting all the people around you. I pray for your safety.
the one thing ive noticed throughout nicks travels is how much more accepting kids are compared to adults..obv adults know better stranger danger etc but its cool to see the kids across the world being so welcoming n curious
Kids didn’t ask you a food, They just asked if you interested to buy a gum.
you amaze me every time , the trust you have in others is great , thank you for showing the real side of the countries you visit and it is always great to see the smiles on the kids , BE SAFE , BE WELL
Thank you, Dennis, appreciate the love!
Indigo Traveller,
My favorite stone is Lapis Lazuli,
I am so proud of you, handsome blue eyed man,
for visiting these places, so humble and kind to people with skin like mine.
Bless your sweet soul.

how beautiful the children, makes me cry to see the streets
BelindaJo Whitmore don't feel bad children. Our culture children free to play outside it safe. After school or before school they play outside that all .
The children are free to play around, every adults keeps an eye on them. Believe me, they are safe. I was shocked too when I went to Nigeria and Kenya but then I remember when I was young and growing up in NC. I was able to go out and play with friends and just had to be in before the streets light came on. Today’s kids in America will never have that experience.

You have a beautiful heart yourself.
GOD BLESS Ethiopia 🙏🏼💚💛❤️ l respect our ETHIOPIA and respect our 💚💛❤️🙏🏼thank you 🙏🏼

OUTSTANDING! This video and experience is SO RAD. Oh Nick, this is so in my wheelhouse and I’m so grateful to you for going there and filming. Isn’t injera bread great?! I’m fortunate to have had the real thing made by Somalians, Ethiopians & Eritreans. It’s eaten by the entire East African “horn” countries. Yum! I’ve also heard Ethiopia is great for vegetarian and vegan dishes. Enjoy. Thank you so, so much again! 🙏🏼👍🏼✌🏼💕
Thank you Karin! Yes, the Injera was great, many vegan dishes available too, perfect!
Karin you look prity
Don't forget when you come to south africa say hi to me from durban butiful

what a beautiful spirit the people have, living so poor, I loved the shot of that dog walking down the street, he was prancing!!! lol
He was loving life!
What is ur measure of poverty and poor?
This land has one of the greatest history on earth.Oldest government, first coffee plant human found and it deserve a visit before dying.
but it looks like a junk yard :/ they give up on greatness?
hersi madar
You got to see it. It is like you feel you are visiting a many countries because all tribs about 80 have their own traditions and customs and food. The weather and seasons are nice. The highlands and lowlands of the country are fun.
@@BbBB-yv8vy it looks like a junk yard with security issues. horrible place. the weather, rocks, hills and nature may be beautiful but it looks ratchet and dangerous.
u235u235u235
A part of it, but the scenery is gorgeous like you.
@@BbBB-yv8vy lol, i'm not sure I matter in this discussion. i hope the country improves poverty and safety for citizens and visitors.
Thank you, appreciate that ❤️
Yeah, they say a lot of awful things about Ethiopia, but they live in Ethiopia😅 I've seen this white American who living in ኮቦልቻ ወሎ and he hates Ethiopian the same time he believes that Ethiopia history started in 1980
You are such a brave man Nick, as the average person wouldn't dream of going to such remote places. Loved it when all little kids came up to you their with smiley faces it was a picture and a lot of the locals seem to be very friendly great stuff.
Super .. epic .. lovely children and the woman in the bus :) thanks for ur effort to show us a new beautiful country :))
Haha great times!
go to the east Harar and Diredawa you would love it.
Harar is soo beautiful
Mo Mo true true I am from harar and diredawa also jigjiga
Sam LSD i agree :(
Sam LSD Absolutely right 😌

It is the corruptions and greeds of the politians for the source of all evils in the country.
Super video, looks like an amazing country, would be cool to see the Ethiopian coffee :)
Coffee coming soon!
U always go to unusual places .. and that's super cool .. keep going the awesome work..
Thank you, Roro! Glad you are still enjoying my vids!
@@IndigoTraveller love the videos stay safe
Ethiopia is not "unusual" gosh what is wrong with you people?
Are you from the caves?
@@samlsd9711 I meant it's not a famous destination to the youtubers to go 2.. ok
"unusual" lmao
Your vlogs are truly an inspiration to travel into the actual foreign lands! Your whole Africa tour so far is the most captivating series so far! Keep safe Nick! Thank you!
Wow. So much lush green. For some reason i had an image in my head that it was all steppes and desert. And such an interesting trip. I'm very happy that i found your channel and grateful that you share these amazing experiences with us!
Thanks Van!
It depends on where you go, the hottest place on earth is in ethiopa i think(dalol). South western part is svananna and north west mountains and green, allmost rainforest, nile. North east active volcano, hottest place, desert. South east really hot and desert.
Ahh okay. I didn't know that. Interesting! Thank you!
That is not actually true as yo can see, especially the southern part of Ethiopia is super grean. It is the part of rain forest area.
That's all i knew before this. I thought it was all desert. But i guess you don't learn everything in school. It's very fascinating to learn so much new stuff from a channel like this and get to know new cultures and people just come together. It's very nice. So i guess, greetings from germany ismail :)
Keep them coming! Every one of your videos is incredibly entertaining AND so educational! Learning about the world this way is so fun...
I am so happy to see African kids woow they are soo happy
I have loved your videos on Ethiopia! I really enjoy seeing all the kids you meet. I'm also very excited to see your videos in South America since I've been to Chile and Argentina twice. Safe Travels!
The people seem amazing and you can see clearly how little they have. I am not letting one life complaint come from my mouth today!
Beautiful comment, thanks for sharing!
Shocking ethiopia largest exporter of coffee
That's a great attitude.
Lisa Ddd That’s the only fun activity we have :D
not every white is bad or every black
Thank you for you visited my country Ethiopia.
It is one of the most beautiful and historical place and it is my dad birth place Gonder.
I hope you had such a nice time.
God bless Ethiopia!!!
The visuals you get are incredible!
it is an epic blog... really gives that feeling of realization that comes with an open mind in journey.... also, so filled with the vibe of that place...
as for expensive hotels... there's a system of locals offering rooms to guests which is much cheaper, but, being semi-official, you have to know someone to introduce you into it. its sort of like home-staying, with your own room or hut... commonly you trade minimal comfort, for a lot of interaction with locals and authentically delicious meals.
those kids are adorable
i really love this . im ethiopian
this video is so positive , and shows true colors of my country
thank you for sharing
Wow! Amazing! 👌🏼👌🏼. One of your best vlogs ever
That means a lot, thank you!
Those kids are adorable.. I want to visit and shake there hands and get a smile like that. You can feel the happiness.. bless them

You never mention the adventure of finding a public toilet in your travels!
Full respect from Sudan to our neighbors... Love Ethiopia
Yes it is made of poop.
That damn Mr. Krabbs with the Violin had me laughing every time. Awesome trip, you make me want to visit these places that I never would have imagined going normally.
Glad it gave you a laugh :)
I’m from Ethiopia and you actually got the real experience of the local people and that boiled potato tho 🥔 😂 too bad u didn’t dip it with the chili sauce ....thanks for the video ✌️
Nice! Adorable kids!
Oh and that lady was definitely checkin you out lol 😂
Wow! I get scared for you , but it all turns out good! Those children are so cute🤗. I'm really enjoying your travels- be safe!
Jacqueline Hagedorn no villagers are not dangerous people they very cultured and very respectful, children were there because they have never seen a white person before. I'm more scared in big cities than when I'm in the country side
these country people's are really nice and kind no one will touch aby one
Amazing place. I have no balls to visit such a destination. Wow!
Haha I felt pretty safe!
Who said Ethiopia was bad??? Crimes against tourists are extremely rare. I feel safer there then in America lol.
It’s one of the most peaceful places on earth. The worst that will happen is that they over charge for something or beggars on the streets. A very non-violent country.
@@kellz1703= This so called travel blogger makes it look bad. All I hear on this video constant complaining ...
You think it is off the beaten path now...I hitch hiked through northern Ethiopia 20 years ago during a war. I cannot wait to go back because there has been a lot of development since I was there. I loved Ethiopia!
good afternoon good evening and good night lol, thanks for alot of videos and being epic.. take care...

Love how you show us all the african countries you have visited so far, it makes me feel I am right next to you experiencing it all, thanks a lot for that 👍. Is Ghana on your list ? I really hope so, it offers so much to a foreign eye in so many different aspects... Having lived there several years I definitely vouch for it !
Super cool, I hope to make it to Ghana in the future!
That little kid was super cute!! The places are cool but for me what makes the trip is always the people you meet! Wonderful :)
You’re walking around the village bro! Enjoy exploring this northern city with the different things to do in Gondar which include visiting places such as:
Fasil Ghebbi
Fasilides Bath
Debre Birhan Selassie Church
Simien National Park. Etc...
